- ■ AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS: Cheap to mid-range hotel rooms in the centre of Amsterdam offer zero value for money and will leave you regretting you booked a room in the first place. The high range rooms, meaning those that cost $150+, in comparison, are not as overpriced as they deliver on the promise implicit in the price point to be better in terms of amenities and professionalism of the staff.
As a guy who stays in hotel rooms (or AirBnb apartments) all year round, I often find the complete opposite to be the case in the vast majority of the world, with low to mid-range hotel rooms offer superior value.

ohjajohh Bikers are known as reckless traffickers in the Netherlands. Running red lights, ignoring traffic rules and causing danger for car drivers is a well known problem, especially in Amsterdam ;)
@@dontbuyhyundai I think it's the other way around. Harald was the ass here just standing in the bicycle lane and then starting to move without watching. Just standing on a bicycle lane is 100% equivalent with standing on a car lane. It's simply a matter of watching for traffic and then crossing swiftly. No-one would consider stepping into traffic of a busy car lane without looking, then why do they do so with a busy bicycle lane?
I understand many tourists are pretty ignorant and busy doing other things like vlogging, but nowadays bicycle lanes exist pretty much all around the world. Really don't understand why people still don't get it.
Lets admire her brilliant knowledge of the place she works in!, People like her are a GEM in hospitality! and nowadays are hard to find , Im a Chef in a 5star hotel, and i would glady have this lady work for us!

They should name this hotel as Time Travel with all those watches theme in the reception. I felt that i travelled back in 17-18th century with those tiles and staircase. Absolutely love the interiors and artwork everywhere. The Artist room is a masterpiece absolutely marvellous, can't wat to visit them once this rona thing gets over. Thanks to the hotel management for this beautiful tour. Look forward to visiting them.
Amsterdam almost always looks like its the late 1800s and never changed. Not quite Bruges but no tall buildings in the city. Its just these multilevels and canals.

Even the Dutch are prudish enough to not parade nude in front of a window (except in the red light district LOL). but yes, many houses do leave the curtains open of their living rooms, that is typically Dutch.
