Netflix made Hera correctly. Something that Disney failed in. Yet I think she would never release titans, yet this Animated Serial was good. Hope season 2 is coming out soon.
I like 👍 the Disney Hera. She is very kind, sweet, loving ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️ 💕 💘 ❤️, motherly, caring and awesome. An very smart and gentle up takes the upper hand when it's needed. After all I really the idea 💡 of her being the sweet, loving ❤️, mother in Hercules life in Disney not Mythology especially in the Blood of Zeus which is real greek mythology on Netflix not Disney. Hercules is Disney, it's is suppose to be for kids, family friendly and not the messed up stuff that happens in greek mythology. It's a nice cheery way of think of it.
We gotta remember that Disney is geared towards kids. Especially at the time the movie was made. I don't think parents would have been happy if they put in there that Zeus was a man hoe and Hera was upset about it so much she once had an innocent infant dismembered. (Dionysus).
I honestly feel so bad for her. She's literally the goddess of Marriage and family. All she wanted was to have that. She never abandoned Zeus, she kept being with him, she never cheated on him or tried to be with anyone else....yet Zeus kept abandoning her like she was nothing when the truth was she deserved to be happy. Everything she did in the anime and mythology was because she was in pain. She just wanted to be happy to be free of the pain, and to be able to feel the love she once did. I feel so bad for her and for the significant others of the rest of the Greek gods. I mean they didn't choose to be cheated on by the people they chose to stand by. Hera deserved better
She definitely did, just seeing her in tears and Zeus looking like he isn't bothered by it all is just sad. Being unloved and humiliated for so long definitely did a toll on her. Hera was completely correct when she said zeus was an embarrassment to her cause she was the goddess of marriage,childbirth and family. I'm so tired of Hera being portrayed as the villainess when she's literally the victim of a toxic marriage. Like, it's mythological canon that Zeus is constantly cheating on Hera and often times not even with the consent of the other women. Rape was a common theme in Greek Mythology, not just in regards to Zeus. Why is Zeus always depicted as this wise and noble ruler or at worst a wayward yet goodhearted one?

Irony is he married one of the prettiest Goddesses in existence. Pretty much a four way tossup between Hera, Aphrodite, Athena, and Persephone based on the descriptions of them. Well there was a dark age (I don't remember the name) that depicted the flaws of gods and humans always receiving the short end of the stick whenever they get involved with them. Originally, most of the gods are immoral, but at least they were humanized in the show.

It would be embrassing for him as King for his Queen to openly denounce him by pulling a divorce. Interestingly in the actual Mythology Hera tried to lock him up, and a few of the others helped her (Athena, Poseidon, and Apollo namely), but he got free and then punished her, forcing her to vow never to try again in exchange for his ending her public humiliation (after Ares and Hephaestus appealed for her release). Zeus in that myth essentially claimed he could beat all of the rest of them together in a fight... oof

Implication is he wasn't trapped for very long, with the space of time being short enough the rebels didn't even finish deciding who should be in charge post-Zeus.

I feel bad for Hera. All she literally want is just love and affection, yet Zeus just wants pretty girls. She wasn't mean, Zeus is the one... He fucked pretty girls and when Hera had enough Zeus just act like it was her fault... Irony is he married one of the prettiest Goddesses in existence. Pretty much a four way tossup between Hera, Aphrodite, Athena, and Persephone based on the descriptions of them. Hera being beautiful wasn't enough for him... he needed to feel powerful by having mutliple women no matter how much that hurt everyone else involved.

Well there was a dark age (I don't remember the name) that depicted the flaws of gods and humans always receiving the short end of the stick whenever they get involved with them. Originally, most of the gods are immoral, but at least they were humanized in the show.

She should have just annulled it and moved on. She let her pride as goddess of marriage keep her in that toxic relationship. She then attacks every single person Zeus slept with. A number of times these were people were unknowing, unwilling, felt they had no choice or accepted since he is their chief god. She also attacked the children he scioned, like it's their fault they were born.
I don't have pity for someone that chooses to do stuff like this.
Are you aware that she can’t divorce him at all? If she divorces him, she’s gonna face heavy punishment because she didn’t follow her title as a goddess of marriage.
@@pt1035 An excuse. Hera should take the punishment and keep it moving. Committing to such an act would show how serious she is, that she would gladly risk that punishment then stay in a relationship that is killing her anyway. Remake herself and never be shackled again.

It would be embrassing for him as King for his Queen to openly denounce him by pulling a divorce. If he tries to punish her she knows she cant stop him by herself, that played out in the actual mythos after she tried to Coup him.
There's also the possibilty she physically cannot divorce. Sort of like how Demeter could not be around the Goddess of Hunger because they are the antithesis of eachother. Hera, as Goddess of Marriage, is supposed to embody the institution (and she actually does fairly well technically speaking in that shes always stayed loyal/never cheated) and therefore may not be able, by consequence of some form of divine law or binding, of engaging with divorce since it would contradict her very being.

Interestingly in the actual Mythology Hera tried to lock him up, and a few of the others helped her (Athena, Poseidon, and Apollo namely), but he got free and then punished her, forcing her to vow never to try again in exchange for his ending her public humiliation (after Ares and Hephaestus appealed for her release). Zeus in that myth essentially claimed he could beat all of the rest of them together in a fight... oof

@Brooke kind of... they managed to get him chained to his bed but only for a little while before he was set free and came after them with the help of a hecetoncharies. Implication is he wasn't trapped for very long, with the space of time being short enough the rebels didn't even finish deciding who should be in charge post-Zeus.
