How blessed are we that we still have both our parents and that they are the glue that holds us and our souls together and good. I can't imagine a moment without my parents. When we brought our son home at 6 months old to foster, they loved him unconditionally from the moment they saw him. They both cried immediately. He is now 4.5 years old. We finalized his adoption last October after a very difficult and stressful journey. We tried for 20 years to have our own when I made the decision I was being selfish and we started fostering April of 2020. He is the love of our lives. My parents absolutely adore him and he is in love with his Tootsie and Pepere! Thank you for the reminder Abbey. Sending you all so much love.

I’m the same way with my parents. My husband and I had a 16 month old when I had my twins. My husband was an EMT and in full time paramedic school at the time. I spent more time at my parents house than I did ours at that point because I needed help. And I just needed my parents. I love them 💖

I regret every moment I lost with my parents while in active addiction. I take advantage and appreciate every moment I have now, especially now that I have my own daughter. She was the bartender. Im 41 now and we don't talk or see each other. Her choice. She never cared to see her grandkids either. Youre so blessed to have amazing parents. 😊much love n respect ❤
I miss my dad. I cut him out of my life 4 years ago after his alcoholism got to a breaking point. I endured too much as a child to let it continue but there are still days where I miss the dad I had before that overcame him. Cherish everyday you have with him ❤
