I just now received this new revelation from the Holy Spirit after hearing him kept reminding us of the baptism in water. The Israelites came out of Egypt after away for years serving the God of Egypt. God led them through the Red Sea and he separated the water and allow them to walked through. The symbols of them being washed by the water and coming out from their old life they adopted in Egypt and being born again to a new life which is getting to know their true living God and serve him in the wilderness
This is a true man of God teaching the WHOLE counsel of God, not just our favorite parts. Half a meal won't fill you. We need a whole meal, especially those things we may not like. I'm so thankful for finally finding a teacher who gets it. Beware of those who only teach half the truth. A half truth is a whole lie. A little leaven leavens the whole lump. I used to think I could listen to some Calvinists like Paul Washer without being harmed by the half truths he preaches because a little leave leavens the whole lump. Now I am seeking to hear only pure bible teaching both from the bible and from teachers like Him. But I will continue to be on my guard even about what I hear this man says, because he is only a man and might be still wrong about some things.
Now that is a very interesting question and very thought provoking I believe it is a very important question to answer Let me start with two verses of scripture “Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.” Proverbs 28:13 NIV Remember proverbs are not promises - they are practical wisdom and are correct more often than not, but not a promise ! “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” James 5:16 NIV It’s interesting to observe how traditions have developed - the Catholic Church teach you need to confess your sins to your priest - I’ve never accepted that is what the Bible teaches - it may be good to get something off your chest but does it actually solve anything or just make the Priest important ? - I believe in the priesthood of ALL believers So the fact we need to confess does not seem to be the question - but who do we confess to ? I take wisdom from David Pawson and the direction of the Apostle Paul When coming to the communion table (1Cor11) we should examine ourselves…… “For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves. That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.” 1 Corinthians 11:29-30 NIV In Davids teaching series Practicing the Principles Of Prayer there is one talk called ‘praying without hinderance’ David says that if you have issues with someone who may have offended you ….. it’s not just their problem to come and ask for forgiveness ….. it’s something you have to go and sort with them as the hurt will hinder you in your walk with God My belief is that if we have sinned against someone….. and that can be thoughts not just actions ….. have we sinned against God or a brother or sister? - we need to go and confess to that person confess and say sorry and make our peace May our Lord give you wisdom and understanding
It seemed in counseling I did the right thing about confessions. That the person write down there sins making a list and confessing it. And to pray asking the Holy Spirit to open the person's sins in order to confess. All according to 1 John 1:9.
Solemn needful teaching and understanding when leading people to Jesus. Probable answers why evangelistic efforts, though well intentioned, do not yield much lasting fruit. Reminds me of Charles Finney's exhortation to confess and forsake each sin one by one as in deed they were committed one by one!
In the video at time of 28:52 , you mention someone had a detailed list. Can you find this, and post this for us, or give as many items as you know of, that are on the list ?? I think there must be several people, who have listened to this video, and have the same question.
I don't think that repentance comes before faith, at least they go together. I mean, how can a person repent without even being convinced of God's existence. And it is the Holy Spirit who brings conviction of sins, the response to that is confessing sins and ask for forgiveness. I totally missed that.! You said, putting the past right, if we are able to do that, why would we need the sacrifice of Jesus? It's God's mercy and grace, not our ability to change. We will change ( and become more and more Christlike) after getting born again and not before. (Because the Holy Spirit only can make us holy, if we allow Him, surrender to Him.)
@@martinmartin6300 I hope that I understand what you say, I am not sure. The way you explain repentance I agree with I think, but where comes faith in and the forgiveness of sins? If we could change ourselves we would not need Jesus. He forgives our sins when we confess them, that's how I got born again. But from the heart and not just repeating a sinners prayer. I did surrender my whole life to Jesus, gave Him the lead from that moment on ( 1981) until today.
This little Rabbi from Nazareth guy, I don't remember him ever saying anything about becoming a Christian..... but he did seem to say becoming the children (sons) of God was important. Hmmm, I'm sure the pope calls himself a christian, not sure I want to be close to associating with any part of "his" organization😮 There was a man wrote somewhere that a Jew is someone who gets his praise from God, is that what we're striving for?
"This guy from Nazareth" as you call him - would you expect him to use his own name ? They call the philosophy preached by Donald Trump - "Trumpism" - Trumo does not use that name Those who agree with Tony Blair are :Blairites" Those who believe and follow Christ are called Christians - Jesus calls them His "family" and He did say "follow me" Christian is made up of three words - "Christ like Man" - "Christ i. an " What has Jesus to do with "Catholicism" ? this is an organisation created by men If a Jew is someone who "gets" praise from God why is that in issue to you? ....If a Jew is someone who "seeks" praise from God then that is a different matter Do you have an issue with Jesus?.....Do you have an issue with the Roman Catholic Church? It seems He's got quite a few names. Would a Jew call himself a christian, or a Christian call himself a Jew? If not, why not? How are the two made one in this Messiah guy? Certainly not in name or thought.Hmmm, sounds like divisions among them among them. As for me, I'm human and I fear God😁 Have you had a chance to read the A.E.N.T by Andrew G Roth?
Interestingly..... No.you are wrong ........"He" only as one name "Yeshua Hamashiach" - all the other names are man made /English translations It's actually very challenging for a Gentile to call himself a Jew purely because they are not a descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. .....By the way thats one family not three ...... You are also wrong again, there are Jews who believe in Jesus and yes they call themselves Christians If you really fear God then you will respect the Jews Ive not read any books by Andrew Roth. have you read a book called the Bible - if you have then you will be fully aware of what is written in Genesis 12:3
