Just purchased the Fanatic Jacket yesterday. I wear a large in everything else, but had to go with the XL due to restrictions in the arms/sleeves with a hoodie on under it. The large jacket felt to fit perfectly without any additional layers, but with a hoodie as a layer in the store, drawing a bow would have been difficult. I am 5' 8" 220, and like I said fit in large in every other Sitka piece I have.
I am 5’10 205lbs. I run all my Sitka in Large including my Stratus bibs and jacket. However with the fanatic bibs and jacket and downpour pants and jacket I had to size up to XL. Was too tight for my liking with layering. I too hate feeling too constricted especially with bow hunting. I have no problem shooting my bow in all positions with XL fanatic and downpour. Also from NJ
Noticed yo have timber delta an marsh duck oven was that done on purpose so you have both patterns. I’ve considered that as well being I hunt both places each pattern could be used
Okay so here's my experience. I'm 5'8 175lbs with an athletic build, My chest is 41" and I went with a size medium in the stratus jacket. (I normally wear a large size shirt due to my arms, and shoulders being too big for a medium t-shirt. Now in my experience, the stratus jacket has plenty of room in the chest shoulders, and arms at a size medium for me. I can even layer under it with my older hunting sweatshirts and I still have enough room. I went with a medium due to previous experiences with other brands larges being too big for me (way too much excess bulk in the stomach area causing it to bunch up). I am glad I went with a medium it fits as if it was tailored to my body and has just enough room for me to layer up if need be. Just thought I'd share in case others are in the same boat!!
Not necessarily true, though generally I've had better luck with Sitka than most. I'm tall and relatively thin (6'6", ~200), with a long leg and ~47 chest. For most baselayer stuff, I run Large or Large-Tall depending on the specific item with plenty of room to spare. But for many of the middle and outer layers I am far more comfortable and able to move in an XL. Moral of the story - know your measurements and test the fit.
I’d say it’s all up to the person. I agreed stay all the same size but, if you don’t want everything tight like a tigger I’d size up on on the outer layer. Ohio
@@fieldseriesreview I have many many pieces of Sitka clothing. I’m 5’9 205 lbs. I wear a size large in everything except the Fanatic bibs and jacket and downpour pants and jacket Which I had to size up to XL due to too tight restrictions for bow hunting.
Thank you. Some very useful information here.
Great vid as always, very informative, South Carolina.
Minnesota, completely agree with no need to size up as far as layering goes.👍

Do you have the measurements for the Fanatic Hoody similar to what you provided the Celsius and other jackets?

Do you pay for all your own sitka gear?
I love your videos but I disagree. I have many sitka clothing items and I learned early on to size up when buying sitka. I'm 6'1 220#
To each his own. But, myself and everyone Ive helped build their systems, have all bought a the same size with no issues. Thanks for watching
I agree...outer layers need to be sized up
