I didn’t get my first dirt bike until I was 44! So I can relate to your feeling inadequate compared to the pros at the event.
I’d like to see a comparison video with your experience with the EX300 compared to the EC300. The main difference to me is the spring fork on the EX vs air fork on the EC. Plus the gearing may have been better suited to the grass track you rode there.

It was interesting you mentioned the elevation where you were riding, it seems most reviewers doing videos are at higher elevations. I ride mostly close to sea level, if we go to the mountains it's in the 2000 to 4000 max, so I don't see a lot of power changes on my bikes. So we don't need much in the way of modifications to engine and fuel system, great to see you were invited to Italy by GasGas.

Many people do not know this but the GASGAS original motors were all made by TM RACING, just had the GASGAS clutch cover emblem, so it is good they have come this far.

That's awesome, I saw around 0:40, the Barcia and Blazusiak jerseys (didn't notice the faces) and thought, that's cool, selling those jerseys, didn't realize it was actually them until later, haha. They brought out the big guns! Sounds like an awesome trip!

Wow, how cool is that?! You even got to hang out with one of my favorite motocrossers, Justin Barcia. BTW, the grass sections may be a nod to some of the Grand Prix motocross tracks long ago & far away run in a farmer's pasture. Way to go Kyle.
Got a '23 EC250 and it is soooo good in tight North Idaho singletrack. Runs flawlessly and takes a ton of abuse. Revs fast, rips like mad, lugs deep without stalling, hydraulic clutch is like butter but precise, brakes are consistent, suspension is plush on easy trails and predictable on gnarly stuff. Stock tires are even good and the seat is comfortable. Delicious expansion chamber sounds. Only one gripe I can think of: no USFS spark arrestor on the stock pipe, which I think there should be on an enduro model sent to the US. Minor issue for most, who will replace that anyway, so overall happy with it, not looking to trade up any time soon.

No, the EC line still has the open cartridge Xplor fork.... :(

I know the engineers said it's the same map but does 2024 have the same size flywheel. I know elevation is a big part but i believe gasgas has always had a smaller flywheel

Awesome content man, thank you. I also believe the best enduro bike to be the EC250. It may be down to the fact Im 65kg, I feel the 300 is unnecessary and wont make me any faster. Go on, try the MX bikes!

Is it worth upgrading fe 450 2018 to exc 450 2024?
6 model years is quite the jump. If you have a decent amount of hours on your current bike, I'd say yes, this is a good time to make the upgrade.
Did you ever find out if an EC can be tuned to run like a EX?
I'm sure they can.... I think it's going to take different mapping and a different head though.

No, it was just me. I've been divorced for about a year and a half though, so there is no-one to fly with me. Kids stayed home

10 hours from SLC to Paris. Then 1.5 to Florence. Then 2 hours in a car to the place.
Was just in Rome from Dulles that is a friggin trip get some rest.The food in Italy is good hard to find a bad place to eat.
If your in Rome or riding the trains keep your wallet and phone hidden.Had a run it with a pick pocket on a train from Naples to Pompeii. He understood English after I put my fist to his face and told him to beat it.Have some horror stories also from my cousins their passports were stolen.
