  • In this video Victor presents a new tele style guitar geared towards the jazz and improvising musician crowd.
    The background music is Victor and his group playing his original composition ( the band consists of Harley Magsino Bass and Julien Cantelm Drums)
    Victor Baker is a highly regarded guitar maker in San Diego CA. He specializes in archtop jazz guitars as well as other jazz oriented instruments. He is also an avid jazz guitarist and composer. These videos showcase photos of his instruments and workshop as well as his music and compositions.

    Great to see the post! Great playing - and band. The VBT sounds very good. You’re right, not your traditional Tele... but a nice crossover (never heard a spruce body Tele!). I can hear your archtop tone in there. Great intonation, and no thin E and B😉. I love Teles, play them 90% of the time now. Will you be advertising the VBT for build/sale? Nice recording quality (just ending👍)!

    Beautiful guitar...are you still building these? And what pickups did you use on that build? It looks like a Kent Armstrong...nice playing as well.

    Amazing sound and wag at a beauty! I’ve wanted to tell you, for some time, how much I like you playing and compositions. Although I’ve never gotten into effects I really dig the vibe. (At the ripe old age of 61 I would like to explore those sounds but the lack of gigging opportunity where I live and cost prevent necromancy doing so
