I was watching the stream that night. It was, no joking, like watching someone starting to develop dementia. He was apathetic, wandering, delirious. He pushed it too far that day.

To be frank, I have never played track mania but am loyally devoted to this channel due to this mans flawless story telling. You make me care about the breaking of personal time records for a game I normally would never show interest in. Keep at it Wirtual!
Same for me. This man is a true master of story telling and truly captivating. At first, you think it's about a racing game, but ultimately, it's really about much much more.
@@ruferd I completely agree.
never played the game, i discovered wirtual's channel with youtube recommendations, and this guy has an awesome storytelling, he is a f*cking legend, he can make ppl who don't even play the game to like these videos
I'm installing the game right now and a couple of months ago, before watching this channel, never even heard of it.
Same, I thought I was the only was but obviously I was wrong
The gifted sub or whatever under Wirtual at 43:16 translate from French too "Are you insane or what". Fitting
I’ve seen a few comments saying “well you used alternate routes to make it easier so it doesn’t count” and I just want to say: Some of these tracks can be difficult even without a blindfold. So until you’ve beaten trackmania, with a blindfold, without using alternate routes, I don’t wanna freaking hear any complaining.
if you say runs that don't take the original route don't count, trackmania without te ability to shortcut would be so so boring. it's part of the game.
@@jorishenger1240 these are probably the same people who thought bugsliding was cheating
@@dsdy1205 Or using wall to gain momentum and thus more speed.
@@jorishenger1240 agreed, taking shortcuts is a valid thing to do in speedruns/wr attempts in many games, especially trackmania

It's funny how he beats the game blindfolded and I can't even complete all the levels with both of my eyes open
Same
Same
You know what funnier , I don't even play Trackmania , but still enjoy this channel. I just fascinated about how some people could put soo much time into single game because I , myself rarely beat any game twice let alone trying to speedrun. Same goes to FitMc (2b2t Minecraft) , agamescout (tetris) , Core A Gaming (fighting game), fireb0rn , mossbag (Hollow Knight) , WaifuRuns ( RE4 and LFD) , SHiFT (Battle for Bikini Bottom) , Goose's Gamer Folklore (Goldeneye) , Msushi (Portal) , you all are LEGEND . It beyond me how some guy could dissect a single game and making content from just one game.
Try give a shot for each of this channel. Trust me , you would not be disappointed.
@@penguinisnotracist8440 Yeah me too I don't even play this game but i enjoy this channel
@@penguinisnotracist8440 I recommend checking out Super Mario Bros any% speedruns. Those are possibly the most optimized and best reverse-engineered speedruns ever. The players have to do pixel perfect and frame perfect inputs, they have to master very peculiar methods to utilize various glitches, they memorize all likely enemy patterns in the game, they manipulate the game in the most unexpected ways, and there is even a little bit of RNG to add salt to the frustration.

It's impossible to compress the magnitude and difficulty of this accomplishment into a reasonably sized RUclips video. In this video we gloss over an hour of attempts with just "after some time I made it to the finish" (which is good, a 100-hour video wouldn't be very fun to watch). But watching the stream let you truly see how little information Wirtual was working with. Driving blindfolded appears easier than it is until _you_ close your eyes too and realize just how quickly you lose track of where the car is and what direction it's facing.
D11 had Wirtual fail so, so, so so SO many times on the final platform because he just overestimated the amount of the final steering input, and he had practically zero feedback on what exactly he was doing wrong. TTS was disabled during the stream, but the mods let through a message telling Wirt that he had to take the blindfold off, recalibrate and see what he was doing wrong. There's only one checkpoint on the track so he wouldn't even lose any progress. But the madman said no and went ahead with another hour of blind attempts :D So the eventual completion really did feel like a miracle.
What a great journey. What a crazy guy. One of my favorite events in gaming history. 💪
Yes, it is crazy how many fails were in between it. Only the first round in E05, we sat there for 3, 4, 5 hours, I don‘t remember how long it was in the end, on that last 15 second driving section from the checkpoint to the multilap - every time having the hope that this time must be it.
And every single time he hit somewhere, flew outside, hit the ring, everything, just no successful run. Keeping going despite that, that‘s the spirit of Wirtual that made that unbelievable achievement possible.
Honestly belive this is fake, could of hade a friend telling him to go in his headset. Sometimes he knew where to turn and go without any reason behind it.
