If you kill the two sorcerers above the entrance, the ball will not spawn again. You reach them turning left in the jard where you fought the knight, then left again. Jump through the window.
I'm not going to say I miss the long run backs, but I do feel they are a little too easy, and instead of clever lebel design with interconnected areas, we have Grace's everywhere

Yeah, the DLC is jam packed with sites of grace. I could comet azur every enemy and still not run out of mana pots. But I'll stick to finger nail for 10fp. Talk about broken.
