15:51 I love Master Duel's dynamic music, because like 80% of the time it's genuinely really well done, and then sometimes it pops off at Link Spider pass.
That music transition is actually triggered by playing one of the cards that’s set as one of the three preview cards on the deck screen. This means that either Link Spider was one of the first cards added to the deck, or Danny specifically chose Link Spider to activate the extra dramatic music. And honestly, either outcome is equally funny.

I feel like this series is just 1 or 3 episodes away from two people just playing completely normal decks against each other. After a while the speedrunning becomes completely irrelevant when the pre-established deck is so good.
New rule: before the start of every episode they dust all their URs

@@velphidrow i obviously know that. how do you think they earned the URs for the last two episodes? earning gems and dusting what they pull in packs. they'd just find a good deck that takes a small number of URs and grind each week to recraft them and maintain the deck. you wouldn't waste them on ash of course, because that's about all you could do in 15 minutes.
To go with the theme, maybe set the duel room timer to Short(150 seconds)

This series really just feels like "Constructed deckbuilding but with an arbitrary timer" instead of "We're in a hurry to build SOMETHING playable" like I first figured it'd be. Not sure this one's got legs for anyone that isn't a firm Danny-bullying enjoyer

@@simjo1311 He speedran some T1 staples and a large part of a T3 deck (unchained), I meant he could have Snake Eye or Tear or something at this rate (probably not actually though, too many engine Ultras, there's a reason he chose Unchained, they only have like two 3x main deck ultras that aren't just generic staples, and half their extra is lower rarity).

Ok, having watched the entire episode I think the key issue with this series so far is the thesis is unclear. Is the idea to speed run to get to a constructed deck, or speed run to get a deck together? (if it was to get a deck together it should reset every episode)
If it is a question of speed running to get to a constructed deck you should decide on a deck ahead of time and get both people to go for the same deck, (or if you didn't want to do a mirror have both people prebuild a deck with the same number of UR/SR's), and then each time you hit the completion of the deck you mark it down as a win for that person.
For what to do at each of the fifteen minute episodes you have a duel with the "in progress" decks and then have the loser have to do some kind of punishment that eats up time, like two minutes of eating beans or something.
As it is the Master of Faster just feels like you having this idea of a speed run that wasn't really conveyed well to either the audience, or Danny based on the feedback in chat, or Danny's reactions during this episode.
TLDR I do like this series, but it requires more focus in order to elevate it to the kind of level you want it to be at.

Loving this series. I wonder if an adjustment, or maybe refinement after it goes away after the 10th episode and hopefully comes back, is that the winner loses a minute or two off of subsequent episodes.
It creates a catch up mechanic but also creates a defined ending for the series, when a player runs out of time to meaningfully change their deck.
Still can’t believe the series isn’t called Faster Duel

The fact that in like, 25 minutes you can make a competent unchained strategy is cool as hell.
Don't see why it shouldn't be on a different account every time, otherwise you build snake eyes a similar meta deck and thats it you don't need to do anything the following episodes. Frankly how it is now is incredibly boring and it feels exactly the same as last episode when it should be 2 new decks from scratch in 2 different accounts
That sounds interesting, then the appeal would be how and if danny and mbt can get better at speedrunning instead of "it's master saga with extra steps"
I usually listen to the intros in the background and had assumed they start from scratch and was so confused what the point of the series was this episode

The true speedrun isn't during the video, it's the series length! It managed to get a 0" time using the "joseph didn't like the first episode" glitch, but for this glitchless category I give it another episode unless there's some kind of shakeup. Genuinely interesting stuff happening in the mbtKillingTheSeries% category can't wait to see more developments

I like the series precisely as a way to explore how fast you can go from starting on md to playing a full powered deck. ash and maxx c are important to that progress but as mbt demonstrated also make you brick if youre not progressing the strength of your deck itself

As soon as I saw Danny's route, I was screaming. Like, totally unnecessary to do that, just stick up with the Solo Mode and supplement things with Gems and Rewards. Even if it's to unlock one of the Starter Decks.
You can also sort things up by Rarity instead of manually clicking to see URs only.
It all goes south, we can just.. start over. This time, ban the Selection Packs, open 10 Master Packs and focus on one of the Secret Packs you get - or open 10 more, question your luck and open the next promising Secret Pack.
I'm sorry, but we have to take away your Invoked privileges Danny. You didn't open Invocation to play through Ash, I don't think you have the necessary skillset we're looking for.
