What a superb band! Lovano and Douglas are a great musical pairing and the rhythm section are exceptional. Great contemporary jazz celebrating the master -Wayne Shorter.
Just saw John Scofield and Joe Lovano at the Detroit International Jazz Festival last Sunday night, neither has lost a note. In-fact their playing has aged like fine wine. Did a number called "Hangover" thought Scofield was going to turn into Hendrix for a minute. LOL They both blew that stage apart. Played songs from new album that going to be released later this month. Just gets better and better!
