You are the perfect person to ask this question to, as you know these trails. My son and I ride all around the Knoxville area, but mainly Baker Creek and the South-Loop. I was thinking about picking up a San Quintin. How do you think that bike would be on those trails? That San Quintin looks like such a fun bike.
It is! I’d say it depend if your more into riding flow or tech. For tech I’d go with a short travel ful suspension trail bike or if you more into the jumps I’d pick the San Quentin. It’s awesome on the jumps trails at Baker Creek. And if you like the pumptrack and jump line you carry a lot more speed on a hardtail.
Sick to see your updated version. I’m sure the Pike will treat you well!
Thank you for April 2024!

Hey, how are the stock wheels that come on your SQ3? Were they sturdy enough to shred?
Yeah they were decent. Back wheel takes a lot if abuse though being a hardtail so it got dented and out of tru after a while.
