🤩 Jealous has such a bad connotation, as not to allow the other, but I feel a very deep need to own something like this. Two keyboards, full pedal, fully acoustic and a rich, modest sound for studying at home. It would also feel like a small crime against humanity to allow me with my limited talent to own such a wonderful and unique instrument. Thanks for sharing!

Fantastic! Maybe, J. S. Bach played his keyboard- / organ-music at home in the same way. The clavicord was his favorite instrument, so you are close to the historic scenario and your musical performance is wonderful!

When I was a kid, I had an electric organ we bought from a thrift store, and I normally wore socks instead of shoes when playing it to feel what I was doing with the pedals. That was a load of fun. I managed to learn almost all of Toccata and Fugue before it broke completely and became unusable.

Those who think the sound is “terrible” may want to lower the volume on their headphones.
In 1959 Ralph Kirkpatrick made a famous recording of the Well-Tempered Clavier on a clavichord. In the liner notes, as I recall, he advised setting the volume at a level where a quietly spoken conversation would drown out the sound of the instrument. The clavichord is a lovely, expressive, and *SOFT* instrument.
In other words, listen to this this video at a comfortably low level and you will probably enjoy it more.
Very fine playing as well. 😎🎹
*P.S. Here’s a link to Ralph Kirkpatrick playing the famous C Major Prelude from Book 1 of the WTC on clavichord:*

Happy to see you playing in socks, Balint! I do also when playing the pedal harpsichord I have here (Hubbard & Broekman, 1990 - built when I worked in the shop). It enables me to feel direct contact with the string. My pedal has 16'; 8' 4', with two alternating rows of jacks operating on the 8' string. It also has an ingenious Transfer box between pedalboard and instrument, which eliminates the noise normally transferred through into the instrument.

This is a great video! I love the mic pickup. The performance was very good. A few little mistakes, but hey, it's live and an truly awesome performance. What I love about your clavichords is the ability to have your nuances. Slight differences in tonality and timber are used to very convincing effect. The pedal clavichord is a delight to listen to. Must be a real bear to keep yourself in good form. I'm guessing it has a rather light touch on the pedals. I think this is your most refined Clavichord recording to date. So happy to have been able to watch. I will listen again. I always use my reference set of headphones. And your recording is very impressive. You should consider self publishing the complete set. I would review this in a heartbeat.

Would be great if the CD is recorded in a similar way. I like the "roomy" sound the mic's picking up.
