Hola Nelson I always learn something new watching your videos, you said that is a good idea to tie Cattleyas orchids plant together. Ok I’m going to do that with my new orchid from Krull-Smith is a beauty and is getting ready to bloom is a Heaven’s Gate. Not sure if I can repotted or not now or to wait, many roots are outside the pot. Thank you for another great video and for all your advice. Dulce 💚
Hi Dulce. I’ve repotted my Heavens Gate twice already. It’s a very fast growing cattleya. Go ahead and repot now. It should be okay. Always wet your roots really well before repotting to make the roots more pliable.
Such a quality video! thank you for sharing, Nelson! So good also to see Natalia there, in addition to other vendors! Excellent suggestion to create sculptures with her resin orchids! 😸🌈✨💫🪷
Your videos never disappoint. Whenever you bring Tere along the videos just become so much fun. Thank you for transmitting so much positive energy while educating us at the same time.👍
There are thousands of orchid videos out there, but I have to tell you, yours are far above all the rest. Not only for the plant and vender information, but more specifically for your personality. You make the videos fun and interesting. Of course you're costing me a lot of money everytime you show something I like, but that's ok. There's always room for one more! Stay well.....
Wow! Thanks so much. What a beautiful and thoughtful compliment. This is what validates and keeps me doing these videos. You guys are my rock. You motivate me to do better and bring you guys the best of the orchid world.
Hi Nelson😄🙌Yes, I remember messaging you about the pulcherrima and how conservation is planting them back from cultivated pulcherrimas. I enjoyed watching and that orchid fair has all the orchid beauties🥰
I go to Vicky's all the time since you first introduced Vicky on your channel. I don't get to go to the shows because I don't drive too much these days, but when my son comes to town from Gainesville he takes me there; he went to Redlands junior high so he likes the field trip especially when the Amish bakery is open.
Hay Mr. Nature Nel! Muchas gracias por todos sus vídeos. Se aprende se disfruta! Se sufre - porque acabo de perder a mi perrita, mi niña. Pero me encanta todos sus aportes!
🎉🎉🎉🎉what a stilunning show. Goodness 😊😊😊such beautiful blooms 🎉 that catt dragon fruit❤❤love it!! I hope I'll be able to find one here...I'm absolutely gaga for that one. Thank you for sharing❤🎉🎉such quality 😊
@naturenel I am trying to order it from a grower in Thailand that's coming to SA in September. I really hope he can bring it for me. I'm sure you will be able to go to her nursery. It's most unusual and striking.
Thanks Nature Nel and Teracita iam always happy to go with you at the orchid shows. Those little grass like lily from cuba with the white flowrts are tube roses and the fragrance is very strong her they are used in arrangements. Oh i was wondering if Bello ship to barbados as well i heard some Caribbean islands mentioned.❤
WoW Teresita- Nelson was really cheeky today. haha Love to see so many lovely vendors who came out to support the local off-season OFEs orchid and plant fair and sale. You all did such a stellar video and the vendors really brought it too. Thank you once again for videoing this session and of course the educational segment before signing off. Be safe, keep swatting those mosquitoes and remember to keep it green. Respectfully,
Thank you Debbie. Always great hearing from you. I’m glad you enjoyed the format and educational content. I figure if I’m already in the presence of all the products I use, why not share my regimen. Hope to see you soon. 😘
Awesome video as always! We had such a great time at OFEs. It’s always a must do! I love see that we are drawn to many of the same orchids! Great minds… 🎉
Totally agree! We always seem to have a blast when we are together. It never ever gets old. We do like allot of the same. Could it be that we love every orchid? lol!🤗
Hey Nelson a great video.. The bulbous plant which Roxy from Orchid365 has is very famous plant in India. We call it Rajnigandha. It's a native plant here and the fragrance is so strong that it can fill the whole area and it's beautiful
Some day you must come to Miami for the weekend and visit an OFE fair. Than after the fair you can visit a bunch of different orchid nurseries in the nearby area.
Nelson I live in Tampa and have indoor Tolumnias. I’m having trouble in getting them to bloom. I have them in small New Zealand small orchiata bark, I removed most of moss I had them in. Stijl a little left in pots. They are under grow light for 12 hrs a day. Water when dry every 7-8 days.
Sorry to hear that. I myself have had challenges with Tolumnias. I’ve been testing out different ways. The issue here is you live in New Zealand. I have no idea what zone you are in, considering New Zealand is rich in zone areas from tropical to dessert. Tolumnias need warm tropical weather. High humidity and little water. They do great on wood mounts. They don’t like medium too much in my own experience.
What is the proper procedure to ensure Banrot powder mixes well with water in the pump. Do I need to shake the pump while spraying ? I went to rinse out the pump after spraying for the 1st time today, only to find a bunch of wet powder residue at the bottom of the pump ….makes me wonder if I even got any Banrot products on the vandas😂
Hi Nelson, so sorry I missed seeing you guys this weekend. By Sunday almost everyone was gone. Would you be so kind and share with me the addresses for Vicky’s nursery as well as J&J? Thank you and stay cool😉
I have a dendrobium tetragonum. I’m wondering if it’s rare cuz I don’t see them anywhere. I think they’re from Australia. The flowers kinda remind me of a bulbophyllum 😍

Glad you liked the idea of using her resin flowers to do sculptures. Her face lit up when I said it. She had that aha moment.
Awesome video!! They had so many great vendors there!! Love seeing the diversity of orchids and plants they bring. Thanks for sharing!

Makes me wish I was still in South Florida so I could run to all these little things, and run down to all the vendors in Homestead and visit everyone
I would be your tour guide Don. 🤗
Just Beautiful 😊
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you Nelson. Awesome especially the feeding part - I learn something each time I watch your show. Thanks to Theresita too.🥰

I love to hear about conservation group’s repopulating the environment with lost species. Glad you enjoyed the fair.

That’s awesome. Field trips with the family leave a beautiful memory imprint of quality time spent with your loved one.
Thanks for a great video. All the vendors had very unique orchids and other plants. The new orchids make you want to shop.😊
That’s the problem, there’s always new orchids and it empties out wallet. 💳
Some very pretty orchids but they always have some beauties. It’s was a small but mighty show. Thanks for taking us along💚💚💚

You’re welcome. I get asked all the time so being that I’m where I buy my goods, why not do a recap of what I use and how to use it
Thank you for posting, I love an orchid as a houseplant! I'm going to check out the links and shop 😎
Happy shopping! There are many varieties you can grow as house plants.

24:50 I heard in a video recently that the ghost orchid constantly needs the same mycorrhizal fungi that helps grow orchids from seed in the wild.
Most likely. I’ve never grown one myself. Only the Thai Orchid

Azucenas are tuberose....there are singles and doubles...the dobles are called nardos in spanish
Thanks Frank. I’m gonna give this info to Roxy. Can’t wait to see the blooms and smell the fragrance.
What was the hanging plant from Bella Tropical Nursery called ? You said, “ it smells like roses” ❤
Plz and Thank you Kristin
That’s called a Hoya lacunosa.
One would get the fragrance early in the morning.

Yes they are a bit rarer but they are spectacular! 😍
Hi Nelson, where can I order sun loving Vanda? Thank you.
I usually buy this at the shows. They can be very long to ship.
