Some BMW’s, I bought the GSA for the dash and ignored the K1600 and RT1250 for the same reasons, not that the K1600 was ever really in the running, that boxer motor is just lovely. The RT may have swayed me had it had the LCD screen, a lovely bike to ride❤️❤️❤️

Would never buy one since they were double the price of what they were worth imo. That shit backfired!! Fucking loved it..took the GSA for a test drive as well right after...loved that one too. I bought a -21 1250gs a few weeks later. Couldnt stop thinking about it. Best bike ever made imo. And am a sport bike guy 😄 Still have a gsxr1000 in the garage I never use

I wouldn't blame you for taking it easy even if it wasn't your first ride, because the tires are brand new to aren't they? And they would need about 150 km to remove the manufacturing crap left on them, before you could trust them even though it is a dry warm day. I have had an R 1150 GS for 9 years and I still press the horn instead of the left indicator. That slipper clutch sounds like a dream upshifting....how miraculous......I want one now.

Hi Schaaf, lovely to watch and R1250 sounds well, just changed my 1200 for a 1250 and I must say the quickshifer is no we’re near as good as that one you are riding, only a few hundred miles on the clock so may get better, nice work, cheers

If you can make the 250 kilograms Bavarian cow lean that way in every turn, then you ride like a pro. And you did. Is that bike equiped with quickshifter? Because I tried to focus on your left fingers every time you shifted gears (according to the bike screen), but your fingers seemed not to move.
@@Schaaf yes, the GS is known to be very agile...I tried the GS1200 and will try the new one. However, I loved the Multistrada 950S which is very exciting...decisions awaiting...

I love this bike, looking for one at the moment. I've test ridden it and it was amazing. BUT..... I am still amazed and a bit confused as to why I see soo many of them for sale after just 6-10k km's.... Even the ones that are produced around 2021-2022 with just 5k on the dash. It's because of the anticipation for the upcoming model, the 1300 GS which is said to arrive early 2024 or late 2023. People are selling their 1250's for that.

Hey schaaf! Were you been in Logroño, La Rioja (Spain) with the bmw group? One week ago I saw parked in the street, near to the town hall, like 5 or 6 bmw's 1250 just like that you are riding in the video
@@Schaaf and from my experience with a 1200 & 1250, smooth but could be much better but has way too much mechanical noise imo. Shaaf's audio seems to have eliminated the mechanical and is mainly muffler itself. I like it.

The BMW beats the KTM in every aspect except for performance. The 1290 is without any doubt the fastest adventure bike. So I'm pretty sure even the 1090 would be faster. But as usual it's the rider not the bike in these comparisons. All three can be moved a lot faster than most riders can go. That includes me

yes it is. But trust me, the big GS is easy to ride. Especially when going fast. Everybody can do it. It's a genius piece of engineering.

Noisy and square off very quickly, new Adventure better. Mine fitted with Bridgestone A41s, well impressed after 5000 miles in wet or dry...
