    If twigs, branches mud and stones that the beavers used to build the dam is left nearby, will the beavers use them again to build another dam?
    Or do they use only new material?

    • @msTECH86
      @msTECH86  2 года назад +7

      Hi. You asked a very good question.
      So if you leave branches around, sometimes they will re-use them, but very rarely does that.
      On the other hand, if you cover the pulled out branches with the pulled out mud and earth, as we do, then they will not use these branches to build a new dam.

The ones of yours using a machine to eliminate the dams unfortunately are the opposite. I can't decide if the operator is that bad, if the operator has very little experience in beaver dam removal, or both. I think this is the reason the video jumps all over so not to show how poor he is. Please though, keep up the great work on the manual removals. I will watch at least a few more removals using the machine. However, if they continue to be the same I will only watch the manual removals after that.
