I literally grew up during the radio's emo phase. I was born in 2007, and a lot of the songs that came out during that time were popular for a while afterwards. I listened to a lot of those songs for years.

The best thing about this era of music is how insane the lyrics hit today. Yeah, we knew it every word but when you find a song that you forgot about for 20 years and you give it a listen and the lyrics hit you harder than a train. It’s unreal.

I realized that music can never be any more the same from back in the 90s and 2000s, you can’t claim to be emo, it’s more than just an emotion, it’s an embodiment of thoughts and reality where we can understand the words past its musical ingenuity
Omg as soon as Welcome To The Black Parade by MCR came on I started slightly head banging and then realized I lost and sang it, then sang every single song. It’s also very surprising that I know all of these songs since I’m 14-
I literally started singing to every song and my friends are sitting here like, "what- why do you know all these songs?" Now, I grew up in the right time in my family where all my cousins, siblings, some aunts, some uncles, and my mom were emo so i grew up with some of these

Yes But considering they introduced me to Queen at a young age, it's really only their fault that now everything I listen to reminds them of Queen
