The reason that other snake breeders normally cut all of the eggs open the day after the first one starts pipping is because captive bred snakes can sometimes lack an egg tooth. So a perfectly healthy baby snake can end up drowning in their own amniotic fluid because they don't have an egg tooth. Did the same thing years ago when I used to keep veiled chameleons. Cut open an egg weeks after all the others hatched out. Was the tiniest 1 in the clutch and lived for years afterward. Nice looking ball python btw, hope he made it.
