Hope you guys react to the Live performance! Also, it’d be good if you react behind the scene (just type Jungkook FIFA opening ceremony sketch). It’s interesting to see how they did the rehearsal, how JK came up with performance ideas, and how he recorded Dreamers too. It’s on BangtanTV RUclips channel. Don’t forget to turn on English subtitles!
Earpiece keeps them isolated from outside voice of crowd and helps them focus with key in background. Hence it's imp for it to work so that they dnt go off key
Just love your reactions- so natural and authentic. Dreamers is such an uplifting song- totally appropriate for the World Cup! Also the significance of the whale sharks in the mv is that they congregate off the coast of Qatar in certain months of the year. The 'pebble' was actually a pearl- before the discovery of oil and gas in Qatar, pearl diving was an important occupation. So these are included as part of the local culture, like the singing and dancing. As Jimin would say-'You nice, keep going!' 💜
Referring to your discussion about singer and dancer; I think if you watch A Guide to BTS Members : The Bangtan 7 by Taylor Mari you can see the members who was only a dancer learned how to rap... the rappers became good dancers and how a member who learn to be an actor became a superb singer and dancer etc....💜
Fahad's part means : We dream of a better world and to live with love We’d gather and let our voices fill this world with love (this world with love) We’d come together and we’ll raise (all these flags) We’d cooperate, create and achieve (all of our dreams) We’ll never give up, we’ll keep challenging and overcoming all difficulties and sing with love
I think the worst thing about an artist's earpiece not working is 1) you can't hear yourself sing, so you could easily get off-key or lose pitch and sound terrible and you wouldn't even know it; and 2) as you said, you can't hear the music/beat properly, especially if crowd noise is crazy (as it probably was), so it would be very easy to be completely off everything - but yeah, JK still nailed it
LOL you guys are hilarious 2:14 just an FIY So on top of the usual income the world class musicians enjoy, like from touring and merch, BTS all have very High profile global ambassadorship deals ( jimin- Tiffany, Dior, Suga- Valentino, Tae- Cartier, JK. Calvin klein, RM. Bottega Venetta, Hobi. Luis Vouitton) all the BTS memebers were gifted stocks in Hybe right before it went public, by their CEO Bang PD. He took care of his boys. Those stocks are worth millions....
It's not just the delay as in your sound comes back to you 2-5 seconds later. Also if you can't hear yourself or the music there are problems if you can't hear you can go off tune, loss your timing. As a Musician and Vocalist I've had that happen to me it's horrid position to be in.
This is the only World Cup athem I've ever heard and I do watch football when it come's to the World Cup. Well I have to it's our national game after all.
7:57 was included in the opening ceremony, or else Fahad Al Kubaisi wouldn't have been there. He is also a lot of the background vocals you hear throughout. You don't remember seeing him performing with Jungkook?
Since y’all are rap fans, you should check out some of the rappers works. There are several Cypers and Ddaeng, Actually there are YTs of the vocal line rapping Ddaeng. JungKook is actually a good rapper. He tapped in some of their earlier songs. There are compilation videos of JungKook rapping. You would probably enjoy that and it could give you some ideas of song you want to check out.
I’m sure that you have already been asked to react to (A guide to BTS by Taylor) but just in case you haven’t, please watch it. You will learn so much about BTS, each member and Army/Fans. Ty 😊
I really enjoy the discussion you two have and your respect for the artists. Also, I think either interpretation could be correct; you both had great ideas. I don't recall anyone stating an official meaning. If you watched the World Cup Ceremony live video on the FIFA channel - yeah, it cut off the last part of the song, which was really weird. However, on the BANGTANTV channel you can see the full video, or Headliner had one too, and they show Jung Kook dancing better as well. Thanks for the lovely reaction.
The flying whale was used to represent ARMY in the Bulletproof: The Eternal BTS music video. It derives from the song Whalien 52 wherein BTS analogizes itself to an actual whale that communicates at an abnormal 52 hertz. As much as it tries to be heard, its frequency does not communicate with other whales. So the whale must traverse the oceans just doing what it knows how to do hoping its soundings somehow communicate. ARMY which alone heard BTS while the Korean pop music scene largely ignored them and even ridiculed BTS as out of the norm in many ways became the whale's back BTS now rides on. There maybe Qatari references as well that I am unsure of.
@cassandradmello2916 Thanks for the info. I confused the whale shark with a whale. BTS uses a whale as a symbol, but reviewing the music video I now see the image was of a whale shark.
@@ericweinman9447 for me it's a reference to both , army reference and general public reference. As an ARMY myself your reference makes complete sense 😍
I believe this beautiful creature is a shark. A gentle giant indeed. A whale shark. I love that it is a representative of Qatar. Thank you. As I too was wondering it’s part in this.
The other singer with the beautiful voice is a Supporter of equal rights and a well loved Singer. Oh it's a Whale shark that lives in the Gulf it's huge and the national emblem of Qatar. Also Whales are extremely important to BTS and ARMY and ARMY sponsor Whales all over the world. BTS and ARMY are seen as carried on the back of a whale. BTS have a song called 'Whalian' a very alone with no contact with other whales in the Oceans, who's song is never heard by other whales so he stops singing.
Am interested to know how you watched the opening ceremony, I intended to watch it on the BBC as they advertised they were scheduling it and then found they had a chat hosted by Gary Lineker discussing human rights and women's issues instead. I was very disappointed. I sm not particularly crazy about the football and wanted to see Junhkook perform. That whale is the national animal of Qatar.
I Know I'm a little late but as an arab and Muslim person I'm so proud of Qatar for not changing their rules or anything it's not like lgbtq+ community aren't allowed to attend they can just don't raise your flag and don't do inappropriate stuff in public places and everyone should respect that it's really so simple as long as we don't hurt the community and just don't support it because our religion don't allow it then it's totally normal
As an Army, I did not appreciate BTS' involvement in the World Cup at all. Human rights are for everyone no matter who or where you are, no matter the culture. Many also boycotted this event and did not watch/barely watched. The song on its own sounds nice.
Stop being brainwashed by medias that love to paint arabs as villains💀as if the west has any rights and you do realize those claims that were thrown at qatat were not even true ich
you may want to watch the live performance.. it was more impactful,, he also sang it live

You should watch the live performance he sang live so good❤
Also bts has a song called whalien 52 and that whale has meaning for bts and army
Jungkook is best in a live performance. He is so good at singing and dancing live and engaging the audience

The Qatari reference to the whale is that Qatar is home to one of the largest congregations of whale sharks on the planet.
