excellent work indeed! I really would like to highlight contradictory statements in an attempt to define the concept of didactics... 6:27 Stocker defines didactics as ..... laws of teaching with no subject in particular. 7:45 Meyer 2007 states that didactics refers to the science of teaching in relation to ..... 'subject matter' .... 'within a specific field'
Yes, that's correct. "Didactic" refers to something that is intended to teach or instruct, often in a formal or structured manner. On the other hand, "pedagogy" refers to the practice of teaching and education.
This is a very-good / helpful video. Thanks, I like the voice and the pronounciation more than it have been used on the other videos, this one is so explicative 🙏
I know, right! If anything I was more confused with this video. In theory, it all sounds easy but my takeaway is that both pedagogy and didactics are like the same thing!! He mentions that pedagogy is focused on education while didactics focus is on learning, but on the other hand, he also mentions that pedagogy is practical and has to do with teaching methods, content, context, students, while didactics has to do with how to teach! So confusing!. I had always been under the impression that didactics was more like the methods, tactics, learning resources even gimmicks to engage students to learn, kind of like the practical stuff a teacher does in the classroom, whereas pedagogy was like the umbrella or theory framework that covered or supported such didactics chosen by a teacher...e.g. there is the multiple intelligence pedagogy approach, hence a teacher would plan out their class incorporating activities, resources that foster all intelligences and these activities would be the didactics. Well that was my take for many years..Anyway, some examples could be very convenient to shed some light on these two concepts.
Talks about ways of teaching and the delivery of information that enhances learning in a video using a robot voice more monotone and square than a cardboard box 😂😂😂 The level of irony in the fact that you teach about how to teach effectively in the least effective way is hilarious.

Who's right then?
Didactic is about knowledge
Pedagogy is about teaching and practice.

🥰🥰
Didactics proves itself to be hegemonic discipline on education and pedagogy, can you explain??
Simply put, education and pedagogy fall under the domain of didactics. ( remember we have different domains: psychology, philosophy, sociology…)
is the author called Sarre whyt or white ? you should be careful when it comes to references
