- Mumbai has the largest car density in India. Mumbai is India's most car-congested city. Mumbai's car density is 5 times more than that of Delhi. Handling traffic in a chaotic city like Mumbai is a difficult job which is done by the Mumbai Traffic Police on a daily basis. The main idea of the video is: Asking Mumbai Traffic Police what it is like to handle traffic in India's most car-congested city.
In this video, the traffic police have opened up like never before. They've shared their experiences & challenges of managing Mumbai's traffic. They've talked about Mumbaikars traffic discipline, how many people actually follow traffic rules and how many don't. They've even talked about e-challans and how many Mumbaikars are fined on the Mumbai Traffic Police app on a daily basis. They've talked about how citizens don't follow basic traffic rules like zebra crossing, now wearing helmets, speeding on yellow light of the traffic signal etc, how many people are not even aware/educated about the traffic rules, how bikers / 2-wheelers are the most difficult to deal with since they are the law breakers.
The traffic police have even talked about the comparison between foreign countries like USA, Europe where traffic rules are followed religiously by citizens but in India people are not scared to break the law.
Mumbai Traffic Police were also Covid warriors and they've shared their experience of working in the lockdown / pandemic situation; how difficult it was for them to stay safe from the coronavirus and do their work at the same time; how some of the Mumbai Traffic Police officials even sacrificed their lives to Covid19.
The video includes many shots of Mumbai traffic, Akshay Kumar's advertisement in which he plays a traffic cop, meme templates from Bollywood film Deewane huye pagal etc.
We were longing to try out this concept of interacting with strangers while making fun of each other. Which we thought would be impractical in India. But, the persistent jokers that we are, we though why not? And that's how came the idea and thee channel name "Because Why Not?"

"I believe I can fly" made me laugh😂😂 But on serious note, hats off and salute to all Traffic police people... It is a very frustrating job to stay on road, dealing with traffic with all the loud noises...It is very annoying to listen to traffic noises....When we sit inside cars we listen to music to avoid the crazy sounds outside...But these guys work in such a stressful environment...I am glad you guys Sandesh and Mohit took out time to talk to these people to understand their views and opinions....And as a Indian citizen, I will follow traffic rules for my safety and also to ease the stress of Traffic police....Thank you..

In most Europian countries the fines on traffic violations are really high and depending on the violation you could even lose your license and go to court. So most People think twice before they do something stupid while driving

Bros.. with the infrastructure and the heavy demand on it due to huge population if you start following rules like USA .. u will reach destination after 1 day. When there is so much density on roads what you see in India is the natural way the traffic adapts to the available infrastructure yet reach destination in acceptable times. Don't equate apples to oranges..

I think govt should make more strict rule such as cancel licence of the rider or driving person who brakes traffic rule, new licence to the same person should be given only after fine of 25,000 or any such higher amount, and new licence given to the person for the second time should be as a warning of cancelling licence forever and he won’t be getting it again...until and unless govt doesn’t come with more strict rules and implement them, discipline on road is very difficult, just announce this punishment and start implementing it, in india word of mouth spreads faster bcoz of larger population, sab k sab line mai ajayenge and they will respect the traffic police plus all the traffic rules, the traffic lady said we Indians follow rules in abroad but not in r own country india, it is bcoz abroad rules makes us follow their rules and obey them, Indians will never follow any rule if punishment is not strict, if abroad announces no punishment for tourist then see what Indians can do in their country as well...so main solution is more strict rules and stricter implementation of those rules.
