Here in Canada it’s a 310$ price difference (after taxes) between iPhone 11 (859$) and iPhone 12 .. making the choice way more difficult. Are those upgrades really worth 310$ ... And even for the iPhone 12 mini there is a 140$ difference with the iPhone 11. The mini seems nice, however I suspect that the battery life will be way less than the 11 so making the choice harder to justify this 140$. I’m considering more and more the 11.
Also. Looking at the oled screen for a long time isn’t good for you. It’ll give you migraines so the 11 is the choice to go and the extra 300 for the 12 isn’t worth it
My first apple product is iPhone 11 and the first thing I doubted was the screen but when I already got it, I was still satisfied. Noted coming from Samsung using AMOLED.
Too small ? It's the same as the 11 no? Or get the 12 pro max, it is as big as your 8 plus, 2mm larger actually. I have the 8 plus and im getting the 12 pro max when it comes out :)
I love the 11. Also the OLED screen on the 12 makes you get migraines and can even make you throw up if you use it so long. The battery is a bit bigger on 11 too
There are, of course, two ways to look at it: 1) going from an 11 to a 12; 2) going from something prior to an 11 or 12. It seems to me that the upgrade case--get the 12--is clearer (though not absolute) in the second case; in the first--apart from 5G, as far as I can tell--you are getting nothing entirely new with the 12, just things a little better. If that "little better" highly matters to you (and money does not), upgrade; if not, wait, and be content with your great phone. I can say that for the first time this year, I was not disconcerted by Apple's marketing into a yearly upgrade (from 11 to 12).
I just switched from XR to 11 because my mom needed an upgrade coming from the 6 so I’ll pass over my XR and switch to the 11. However, it feels sort of useless because both phones are great and I don’t really upgrade phones because of small differences, I usually switch phones when it’s really necessary and I used it for years. Seeing people purchase the 11 last year and move onto the 12 because it’s the newest model with a few changes is crazy to me. We’re all just a bunch of materialists aren’t we (including myself!) it’s just sad to see sometimes
I agree but when you consider the fact that you can get a used iPhone 11, the difference goes closer to 300-350$, in which case I think that you should go with the 11 if you are not so enthusiastic about the ogled anyway.
Exactly. You can get a used iPhone 11 for $500 whereas the 12 is $830 unlocked plus another $20 for the damn charger. $350 is too much, just get the 11 if you are buying an iPhone this year.

After taxes I’m close to 950 and I fell you don’t need to spend that much on a phone togetherness with me having a new series 5 at 329. You can if you have the money but I will stand with the 11
Just upgraded from the iPhone XR to the iPhone 11 for €249, I wasn’t going to upgrade but with that good price for the iPhone 11 I said why not, there was no features on the iPhone 12 that would justify the extra spend for me, 5G isn’t very well rolled out in Ireland and I really don’t care about the screens, genuinely makes zero difference so I am very happy with my purchase, thank you for this wonderful video 😊

I mean coming from an iPhone 5s with a huge crack in the centre, I would be incredibly happy with either. But I think I’m going to go for the iPhone 12. Mainly because I am used to the grip of the squared off edges, instead of it being curved. Also it is slightly smaller so it will be more comfortable. And I personally prefer the colours of the iPhone 12. The black on the iPhone 12 has a slight purple sort of tint which I am a huge fan of, the Blue is just 😍👌, also the white looks a bit cleaner. I wouldn’t be a fan of the yellow, green or purple on either of the phones anyway. But yeah I think I’m going to pay that extra 200 for it :)

I will consider to go back to android. I hope that this Iphone 12 it is just a bad year for Apple and next year will surprise us with something really good, for me, holding my Iphone, as much as I love so many things from Apple and the premium quality, it feels like old technology compare with other phone half priced. What I will not change and I still consider Apple is far away the best , is in tablet with their Ipad, and that was the reason why I moved from Android 3 years ago

@Ngiplong NGIPLONG as much as I like iPhone. Android is better in almost any department. However people like iPhone because of its battery, FaceTime, and other features android doesn’t have
1. The bezels didn’t change, the phone just isn’t rounded so it feels smaller with flat sides. 2. The screen difference is barely noticeable, even holding them side by side. 3. The pictures you showed were edited because I’ve taken the exact same pictures with both phones and they look exactly the same. 4. 11 has a bigger and better battery. 5. The chip set doesn’t matter because the apple App Store are limited in processing power so no iPhone will be any faster then even the iPhone 8. 6. The phone sound exactly the same, again I’ve compared them side by side. You aren’t being unbiased. The actual choice should be the 11 considering there are no actual real world differences other than the shape of the phones and the newer more expensive one has a smaller battery, while costing $200 more. I’ve met 6 people that have gone from the 12 to the 11 and even the XR because there is no actual difference in the phones. Yes the 12 looks SLIGHTLY better on paper, but because of apples deliberate software limitations, the function EXACTLY the same. If you see this comment, and are curious which one to get, don’t let anyone convince you to get the 12. You will regret it. It’s functionally the exact same phone. But $200 more. Save yourself the headache and just avoid the entire 12 line.
DO NOT UPGRADE TO 12. Get the 11 instead, I had an XR and got the 12. My eyes hurt from the OLED screen and the battery life is worse because 5g drains the battery way faster for me. The phone itself is not comfortable to hold like the XR. I’m returning this dog shit and getting my XR back or i May just get an 11. 5G isn’t that great either. The speed isn’t a insane difference. I do agree the screen looks better on the 12 but after 1 hour of using the 12 I had horrible migraines and wanted to throw up. I recommend anyone who wants a new phone the 11, LCD is still pretty good and in the long term movies and RUclips videos it won’t make your head hurt. It also has great battery life. 12 IS NOT WORTH IT!!! Wait till the 13 or 14, however if they have OLED I may not get it since it gives me severe headaches, I personally recommend 11.
I ended up upgrading to the 12 and I don’t have migraines. I’ve watched several hours worth of movies and I’m fine, so this all depends on the person. It definitely not worth it if you get migraines.
Apple made a huge mistake pushing 5G instead of 120hz display and better battery life aside from a new design the iPhone 12 seems like a step back from the iPhone 11
First 30 seconds and I'm calling BS. I have the 12 and 11 in front of me and the difference is so minimal. The camera is slightly better but many people probably wouldn't notice. Oled does have slightly better color and deeper blacks but the general user won't notice. Shape is a toss up. Depends if you like flat and edgy or rounded. Battery is sub par. Overall experience using it is obviously the same, like it has been for so many years. Last time I had an iPhone myself was the 6S and using the 12 made me feel like I was missing nothing at all. Considering a 128GB iPhone 11 is $650 unlocked and a 12 is $870, there is no way in hell the 12 is worth it. But, if money doesn't matter then the 12 will be the way to go at the very least for the added benefits of night mode on all cameras and a slightly improved camera overall.
@@KryptonKr Haha that's funny. I ended up getting an 11 over the 12. After using them both it's really not very different at all. Nothing noticeable anyway and I like how the 11 feels compared to the 12.
agreed. i currently have an iphone 8 & i’m considering upgrading to the 11, especially considering the fact that it comes with a charger and headphones. the iphone 12 is reallY tempting & honestly i would’ve purchased it if it started at $699 instead. i will probably just upgrade again when apple releases a notchless iphone with a 120 hz display. i don’t care that much about the oled display, the ceramic shield isn’t that important, the iphone 11’s camera is sufficient and i live in a country that doesn’t support 5g, so i only feel like im missing out on the design here. i just hope this is the best choice :D
my iPhone 11 is coming in 2 days, and I'm happy with that decision, cause here the 11 costs R$ 5.400,00 and the 12 costs R$ 12,000 so I saved a lot of money!
Have a 11 and i think its one of the best phones i ever had. The screen is good enough and the batterytime is exellent, had 100% ten o clock today and now after a whole day i still have 63% left. Listened to music and surfing on facebook etc.
all these new smartphones get less and less appealing. i love my pixel 3a - headphone jack, usb c port, fingerprint scanner, nice screen + very good camera + night sight + stock android = a fantastic phone for most everyday users.
Just what I need :'), I don't care about the aesthetics or the screen that much, just the camera. it looks like there's no $200 upgrade in that regard (don´t mind about night-time selfies) I'd better buy the iphone 11 to save cash and have a slightly bigger battery, the charger and headphones. Thanks for this precise review :D Would be nice a more in-depth camera comparison.

Go with 11. Trust me that oled display is not worth 300$ price gap. I own an iPhone 11 and I love it so much!
Also. Looking at the oled screen for a long time isn’t good for you. It’ll give you migraines so the 11 is the choice to go and the extra 300 for the 12 isn’t worth it

Here in India iPhone 11 is 650$ rn and iPhone 12 is 950$ 😂
I use iPhone 11 and its display is shitty.
My first apple product is iPhone 11 and the first thing I doubted was the screen but when I already got it, I was still satisfied. Noted coming from Samsung using AMOLED.

Great screen, unless your one of the few who get migraines from OLED vs lcd

I mean coming from an iPhone 5s with a huge crack in the centre, I would be incredibly happy with either. But I think I’m going to go for the iPhone 12. Mainly because I am used to the grip of the squared off edges, instead of it being curved. Also it is slightly smaller so it will be more comfortable. And I personally prefer the colours of the iPhone 12. The black on the iPhone 12 has a slight purple sort of tint which I am a huge fan of, the Blue is just 😍👌, also the white looks a bit cleaner. @Ngiplong NGIPLONG as much as I like iPhone. Android is better in almost any department. However people like iPhone because of its battery, FaceTime, and other features android doesn’t have
It has heating issues for 11 while I'm using over a period of time
Not true, at 3:13. The Iphone 11 (non pro) gets MUCH WORSE battery life than the iphone 12. Mostly due to the switch from LED to OLED I imagine.
Nah the 14 is when I’ll upgrade
facts im with u brother
The iphone 15 pro max is when ill upgrade.
Wait till the 13 or 14, however if they have OLED I may not get it since it gives me severe headaches,
I personally recommend 11.
I ended up upgrading to the 12 and I don’t have migraines. I’ve watched several hours worth of movies and I’m fine, so this all depends on the person. It definitely not worth it if you get migraines.
🤣🤣🤣
That seems terrible! I’m still thinking about to upgrade from XR to 11 or 12 but I’m more to 11
Apple made a huge mistake pushing 5G instead of 120hz display and better battery life aside from a new design the iPhone 12 seems like a step back from the iPhone 11
After 2 years, apple will bring round looks.
Reviews then would be, Iconic round look from boxy look.
the iphone 11 will only be great in the next 2 to 3 years? I was hoping the 11 would last longer.
It will dw
Think 5-6 years
First 30 seconds and I'm calling BS.
