    finally someone who really spoke about Kobe the way they would've if he was still alive most people nowadays just praise him and leave out a lot of things Lin kept it real here

      Jeremy Lin didn’t even share what Kobe did to him during that Hornets vs Lakers game. Kobe flagrant fouled Jeremy Lin in the head when Lin was driving to the basket. Later on the game, when Kobe did a terrible turnover and landed on the floor, none of his teammates came back to help him, you know who helped him? Jeremy Lin. He helped Kobe get back up and guess what Kobe fucking did? He tripped Jeremy Lin’s foot while Lin was pulling Kobe up. What a bitchass move by Kobe.

      Lin stated in his own words they were the worst team in Lakers history. Obviously his mentality contributed to this team’s outcome. The fact he thinks, Kobe shot them out of games versus the fact the team sucked and old man Kobe HAD to shoot. Ball movement to who? Lin and those guys were straight bums.

    A lot of people glorify these athletes and think they can do no wrong.
    Players like Kobe and Jordan were some of the greatest of all time, but they weren't always the best people. They both had bad reputations off the court, and disrespected anyone who allowed them to.

    • @loungekiller
      @loungekiller 2 года назад +3

      @Kota Lz no, stop it. They were assholes and that's that. Everyone keeps making excuses for them, especially Jordan.

      You just said it yourself. Anyone that "allowed them to". Shaq did the same to Kobe and Kobe showed him he's not backing down. You won't survive in the NBA if you back down to people and Kobe knew that which is why he didn't respect anyone who allowed themselves to be disrespected. You heard Lin say there were times in his earlier career where he wished he stood up for himself. There's a reason Kobe didn't mess with most of his teammates after 2013 but still kept in contact with Lin.

      That's why I like Lebron's approach. He isn't known for that "coming at you" deal (but time will tell if he really is like that behind scenes). That being said, he isn't perfect, either. He made some choices on bringing in Westbrook and is destroying the current team, you know? Laker Nation is so mad at him and he earned that. He made this about him over and over again and is happy to drop a whole team to try and make smthng work and it isn't. It feels cheap, egocentric, and selfish and he 💯 earned that.
      We just all get it in our heads that our fav players can do no wrong and that just isn't real

    Even Kobe wasn't perfect in that he let the game consumed him and made it more about himself than those around him and I think he realized it as his career was coming to an end.

      @@mikea22875 but Lin's point is that Kobe was trying to will the team in a 35 year old body that didnt serve the team right. That team was never going to win a ring but it seems to me that the team was disconnected with that version of Kobe. There's a video of Kobe practically degrading his teammates on a talk show, there's no team at that point.

      Kobe is my favorite player ever, but I agree with you. People act like it's a sin to talk bad about Kobe lol. He definitely wasn't the best chemistry guy or leader, & had too big of an ego. Just look at what happened between him & Shaq, also him & Dwight Howard. Really, I think Kobe needed guys like Phil Jackson & Derek Fisher to help keep him grounded & disciplined, Kobe won all 5 of his rings with them two. If Kobe was a better teammate, him & Shaq could've easily gotten more rings. The year LA had Dwight, they should've done a lot better too. As a fan, I watched pretty much every game, & watching Kobe that year with Dwight, it's like Kobe really wanted to prove that it's still his team, which it is but what's the point of trying to prove that? Lol. Like dude was hardly passing it to Dwight, basically treated him like how Lin said he was being treated in this video. Just imagine if LeBron had Dwight, Nash, Gasol, & MWP, they would've done a lot better than the 7th seed.
