    Hiiii Angieeee 💗💗💗 sending lots of love!
    I love your reaction as always! I know you’ve already finished the series but I wanted to express my thoughts 😂
    Long Note:
    I like how you said it here and your reaction and your analysis was on point.
    See I said this on my twitter i know this maybe be unpopular opinion but I actually appreciate that even though 2 years passed Ming didn’t make this all the sudden changes because it wouldn’t be appropriate to his character. In order to see changes it really needed to be shown before coming to terms that ok a redemption arch is possible. I appreciate that the writers kept him the same way but you can start to see subtle very minimal changes.
    Like you said the he reacted with Tong when he mentioned Joe’s name you can tell that at least towards Joe he started to see how he treated him. It was like starting to put Tong in his place.
    Don’t get me wrong I still am mad a Ming and I still don’t forgive him. He still needs to do a lot at least in my eyes.
    Going towards this last scene when he found out about Joe’s back and the flashbacks I was like yes the karma coming back around.

    34:55 Remember Ming fell for Tong a long time ago and Tong have used it and manipulated Ming for years for his benefit. So now when Ming didn't give him his full attention Tong is messing with Mings life and everyone around Ming, again, just like with Joe no. 1 and probably in other ways before that.
    Also about Ming asking about Joe2's accident. Ming went to the fortune teller before who told him that Joe1 isn't dead or alive and since he first met Joe no. 2 in the elevator he has felt like he knows him and that he is too similar to the first Joe, not just from the back but in different ways.
    Wut and Sol has also mentioned that as you know and seemed a bit weirded out about how similar Joe1 is to Joe2.

    I think from what I saw no one really excuses Ming for what he does, everyone wants him to suffer 😈 It's just some people think no matter what he does later Joe shouldn't forgive him, and others (including me) think he still has a chance. But to do that he should really change a lot, as you said he should change his arrogant attitude towards everyone, not only Joe. I'm glad that he finally told off Tong who probably at this point was just upset that Ming was 'distracted' from him and he couldn't manipulate him into investing in his resort project. At this point he doesn't even flirt with him but acts like a concerned relative, and it still doesn't work. Honestly it's nice to see Tong shocked and upset, his plans failing finally.
    Ming apologizing to Joe is a big step already, but I'm a bit sad that it was due to him realizing that scene being played by Joe. Then again, if it was played by Tong, probably it wouldn't even impress Ming that much and he wouldn't become obsessed with Tong in the first place. And it's beautiful and symbolic as it's like Joe was treated like a substitute since the beginning vwhile he was actually the main character, the MVP all along. But, as I said, it upsets me a bit that Ming didn't fully realize what he did to Joe until that moment. He had two years to reflect on each his action after all.
    I think in the next episodes (sort of Ming redemption arc?) we need to learn much more from his side, maybe more background to understand why he's acting like that, and also about what he felt and thought, especially during those 2 years when Joe was missing and when this new Joe came to picture. Cause almost all we know this far is from Joe's point of view, we only saw a few scenes with Ming talking to his secretary (giving orders), sister, Tong and fortune teller. Also that one fight with mother about him going to study abroad and attempt to match him up with a girl for marriage. Even with his brother he barely exchanged a word. So there's a lot to unfold and I hope the screenwriters will help us at least to understand him better if not fully redeem him, sort of like they did with Vegas.

      En la novela, 📖 Ming es mucho peor 🥀. Y a mí parecer (mi opinión) en la novela no se le dió la justicia q merecía Joe, Ming la tuvo muy suave 😒😮‍💨

  • @jeremyz653
    @jeremyz653 3 месяца назад

    I think Ming, from the very start, sees Joe 2.0 as some trash person to begin with. Because this new Joe has been so desperate to appease Ming from the first time they've met. So Ming sees him as someone who can do anything to climb the ladder in their industry. That's why he feels no guilt when "buying" him and doing anything he wants to him. Plus, he feels the similarity. So he has conflicting feelings towards Joe 2.0. One moment he's gentle and nice, then next, when he's provoked, he becomes impulsive and abusive.

    Con respecto al Ep.7 de My stand in, recuerda qué Ming tuvo esos altibajos en su comportamiento con Joe porque en principio él estaba enamorado de Tong (de una actuación y espalda que lo cautivo) y luego se va enamorando de Joe,qué tan sólo lo descubre cuando Joe se ve obligado a viajar lejos y trabajar en esa escena peligrosa.. Ming lo llama para confesárselo pero Joe se queda sin señal y lamentablemente no vuelve porque realmente muere😢😢

    Your constant cursing out Ming is kind of really annoying and shallow. It's like you don't even want to hear Ming's story or look at Ming's character. Because Ming's character is not that straightforward and blatant redflag-y the way you try to portray it. There are many sides to the story. Ming is a very well written complex character which needs a bit of heart and sensitivity to decipher.

    • @mydearthai
      @mydearthai  3 месяца назад +2

      Honey, I'm just flowing with the narrative of the series (not the book...maybe you're one of those people who has read the book and "knows how much Ming suffered"). That's my genuine reaction and I can't do anything if you don't like it but there's a lot of channels that you will probably like better ❤️... Just to clarify, I perfectly know Ming can have a whole context to explain why he is the way he is, just like a murder has, just like a robber has. Because I have always thought there are a lot of factors that can influence people's behavior and they don't justify actions but help to understand them. So I know there are many sides of the story, as you say, but you can't tell me Ming is not a red flag. The fact that he has his reasons to do what he does doesn't invalidate his red flags. You can't ask me to have compassion for him when he's still being the same person or worse, I explained it in the last part of the video. I know he will change because it's a series but I need to see that change first. What good is it to me that Ming has suffered so much if he remains the same?... Fortunately I guess and I hope this is the begging of his change and as I said, he has a lot to demonstrate to show that he's finally worthy of Joe... so I will probably still mad at him at the beginning and I say this as a warning in case you don't like to see people complaining about Ming... Anyway thank you for watching ☺️❤️

      @@mydearthai Firstly, no I am not one of the book readers. My understanding is purely from what i see in the series. Ming is complex, insecure, vulnerable, suffers from inferiority complex, is unloved so is unable to grasp the whole idea of pure love, is used by Tong and heavily controlled by his emotional outburst. He is no psychopth. He is just sad and broken. He might come off as toxic in the beginning but superficially. After a little while, his wounds, vulnerabilities, insecurities, self doubts are sooo visible that terms like 'toxic', 'red flag',' just seem like too shallow and childish of words to describle Ming. The thing is, its hard to judge someone so quickle as everyone has a certain baggage with them, walls surrounding them. Perhaps it's a me problem. I tend to see through the actions. And I do believe every character is written so that one can look at their respective sides. Yes Joe is miserable upfront. There is no reason to not empathize with. It's on the table. But so is Ming. That is the whole point. Anyways I just expressed my views.

      @@bhasharoy2281 I do find it odd on how they show benefit of the doubt on everyone but him. Even Sol gets a lot of pass by the reactors. Though I will argue that Sol is a red flag just disguised as a green flag. And I don't like using those terms but it is something that has become quite popular. This is not me being hostile. Though who knows maybe my comment will be taken as such. Also, I'm not a book reader either and even I could tell that Ming is a complex character. I get a little bit nerdy when it comes to dialogues. But also the camera movement on certain scenes. And the props that were used to tell the story. Unless you are not a film nerd, or love watching a ton of cinema. There will be a lot of things that you will miss and that is fine. I sometimes don't capture the first time, I go back and rewatch some scenes to see if I get the full story.
      It's like reading a book with pictures. Reaction channel from I know is that they often do it with one take. And try to capture everything in one watch. Word for word. It's difficult most of the scenes and dialogues will fly by you. It's not because you haven't paid attention. It's because there is a lot going in 1 episode. Even though some would say no. As much as I want them to actually comment or adress on the things I have noticed. But meh its fine. We are all human. And now I will stop my comment here because I don't want to make it longer than it already is. Hopefully someone understand my dumpster.
