When I got my first rabbit (she's about 1 year old now) I also didn't do much research. After about 2 weeks of having my rabbit I started to do HUMUNGUS of research and that was pretty much all I did all day in about a few weeks. I now got a second rabbit and they are living happily together. They are currently living in a big cage and I'm working on getting them to free roam in my room. Ever since I got my first bunny my life just got so much better and I am never bored! Your videos have helped me a LOT with the bonding process and other things! I'm current 14 and I am so excited for a future full of bunnies!
I was allergic to their timothy hay. So I changed to Orchard Grass and I no longer had allergy issues. Also I am extremely allergic to cats and don't have an allergy issue to the rabbits.
As a person with severe allergies, I wanted to let other people know that they might be allergic to rabbits too. Try a trial basis with a rabbit before getting one. On the other hand, I have just suffered with the allergies, as rabbits and guinea pigs are worth it!
I am allergic to hay mostly the dusty part but i only have issues when i get to the bottom of the haybox so i just use an air purifier and allergy meds, it just makes me sneeze a lot but i just turn on the purifier for a hour or so and i'm good.
For me, I never knew or thought of getting a pet rabbit until my mother's boyfriend brought me 2 rabbits unexpectedly. It is still very hard for me to convince my parents on everything that they hear or see that isn't true. I'm glad for this video and i hope it does change my mom's opinion on wanting the rabbits outside
Me watching this video: **pauses it* “MOM?!” Mom: “What do u want, I was sleeping .-.” Me: “Why can’t our bunny live inside?” Mom: “They S T I N K.” Me: “What does?” Mom: “Their poop..” Me: *seriously* He is litter trained. Just put the litter box in a corner where nobody will notice it. Problem SOLVED. Mom: “I just don’t want that dirty farm animal inside.” Me: WTFIEJDNDDKXMSOA
Great video Hayley! I have two rescue buns that are free roamers. I just wanted to hop on here and tell anyone with outside buns that the payoff of having your bunnies as roommates is surprising!! Yes they are going to be messy or chew your favorite things but I’ve learned soooo much from my bunnies! My mom is always surprised at my reaction when they chew something because I never get mad! This can translate to human interactions too. Stay strong and fight for your bunnies! Bunnies don’t belong outside!!
I love your videos! I noticed around the 12 minute mark, the 3rd step (?) “ask for a trail run,” “trial” was misspelled as “trail.” But that’s alright, everyone including myself misspell words too.💛
My parents said yes because when they were little my parents I had a lot of pets so I said if t h e y could keep so many e pets in their home why can't I keep a rabbit
I feel so horrible now. I’ve had three rabbits that I kept outside and they lived in a “shed”/treehouse cage, which is 9’ x 7’ and had two litter boxes and a few hidey houses. Luckily, they all lived to be more than 6, 8, and 10 years old. I have my fourth rabbit outside, and I just learned that rabbits are supposed to be indoors, because the care guides that I followed said that they do good outdoors(which I no longer follow those websites). I got my fourth rabbit, Bruce almost 6 months ago, ( which just turned 6 months old) and I learned that they have to be kept indoors like 4 months ago. I’ll try this, thank you! 👌👍
Hi there. I am moving 13 hours with my bunny and I need your help. Is it safe? I had two but unfortunately one of my bunnies passed away Saturday night.
it should be safe as long as your rabbit doesn’t get too panicked. make sure to have them in a pet carrier with food and water and a blanket over-top to calm them. make sure to stop and check up on them and clean up when they pee or poop. good luck!
I'm so sorry about your sweet bunny. They have a special place in our hearts don't they? I hope you and your other bunny have a safe move. Just be sure to have hay and maybe a water bottle in his/her carrier
@@thecartercrew3725, they do. We got both of our girls a year ago today, and after returning home from a trip on Saturday she fell ill all of a sudden. She wouldn't eat or drink that night and couldn't stand. Our vets were closed, so we just comforted her and gave her water through a syringe, a few minutes later she died in my arms.
@@charlotteirene2778 oh I'm SOOO sorry! From the sound of it there wasn't much else to be done. She's lucky girl to have had you there for her. Sometimes stuff like that happens and we don't know why but just know that she's always with you, and will watch I've you and the other bunny as you move in. I'm almost 45 and my parents are gone but I know my Mum would have been thrilled having a house rabbit. My Dad would just have had to deal with it! (Or maybe we'd put DAD in a hutch outside!) 😜
Yes I agree with you so much. I finished making my bunny room about 2 mouths ago. I now have my bunnies play in there all the time. (All day) So to my point I am a part of your culture! I really agree with you!
I have a huge crate and pen for my rabbit that literally takes up half the living room. He needs some protection because I've got a psychotic cat but I'm planning on gutting his entire side of the room and bunny proofing and then it's bye-bye crate
@@bunnyrachael1140 he's my little baby that's for sure! When other folks look at him they see a rabbit; I see a small furry child with specific dietary needs and doesn't speak the Queen's English very well!
My parents pretty much just let me have my bunny inside, it does smell a bit like hay but I do have candles that smell like vanilla and they overpower the smell of hay. I also pay for everything. I'm 13 and I get 25$ per month and that's not always enough so my parents take advantage of me and make me clean the house and do stuff for them in exchange for money. It's worth it tho.
Be careful with candles or air fresheners. They shouldn’t be used around bunnies as it’s to strong for their respiratory system and can make them get sick.
A good thing about beginning where I live there are no predators at all there are just cats who only came at night but mine never go out until the bright of day
Thank you for this video! I used the tricks you said, and boom! My parents want to leave the rabbit outside for a couple more days while we set up an enclosure, but that’s better than not at all! Thank you so much, this will really help my rabbit.
My parents don’t want me to keep any animal in my room for some weird reason like “that’s where you sleep you don’t want a bunny with you and it’s litter box”
Love the video! I finally convinced my parents to let me have my rabbit inside and i am so thankful! My parents were so surprised when I neutered my rabbit, litter trained it, and properly clean his room that he didn’t stink at all because that was the reason why they didn’t want the rabbit inside because of the smell.
I have two bunnies, and they don't live at my house, they live next door at my sister's house. I only get to see them once a day, and it really makes me so sad. My bunnies used to live at my house but had to live in cages, and were barely ever let out. At my sister's house, they each have a really big area, but they get really bored, especially my really social one. I've been trying to convince my parents, but they still don't want them at my house. I can't say they don't have an excuse, because they aren't neutered or litter trained, so it does kind of make sense. I have also been trying to convince my dad to let them get neutered, but he keeps trying to end the conversation. It's getting to the point, that I feel like since they don't deserve to live like that and they deserve the best life ever, we should take them to a shelter, where they will be given better homes. Is there someone who can relate to this situation, and maybe give me some tips that will help?
Here's why my parents won't let my bunny in: They think bunnies stink. They try making excuses such as: "We need a new house" "We need a new car"(we got one a few days ago) AND SO ON And if i confront them they get so mad like its the end of the world smh. and i dont think thisll work on my parents..
YAY! Almost 200k! Great job! Thank you so much. Without you my bunny would probably be living in a hamster cage as now she has a whole room! Thank you so much 😊
Rabbits love to be outside. Mine live indoors but are able to go outside if the weather is ok and they LOVE it. I‘d feel really sad for them if you never could expierience sun and wind. Imagine if you were captured indoors your whole life!!! 😞
She advocates for supervised outdoor time in another video (rather than outdoor living). It's definitely a nice thing to do to enrich their lives. Your rabbits are very lucky to be cared for so well!
each rabbit has it's own personality my rabbit dosen't chew any walls or dig. I think the most convincing thing though you could show your parents that you missed is the financial accountability, show them the price of a months supply of hay, in my area the good brands are only like $40 canadian and every 7 purchases i get a free one. and I bought a huge bag of pellets for like $20 and it has lasted almost a year now. But ya also should show them the research that you've done, like how much they need to eat and such which really isn't all that much, they are cheaper than cats if you ask me, but not dogs depending on how you care for the dog anyways. All this should help in proving that the rabbit deserves to be treated like family too!
@@jasmineflower8724 wow you got it bad my little sweetheart is all miss me with that shit when it comes to toys. not even rolls, I call him the dockworker bunny because really seems to enjoy taking big dumps and either going back to sleep or munching his hay.

WolfyGamer77 yeah i keep trying too my dad blew up and yelled at me and my mom told me still no but i’m trying to push it to our garage. just keep trying:)
Mia Ledbetter ok I will but I ask and my grandma threatens to get rid of them my moms fine with the idea they used to be indoors but then she got a puppy last year and replaced them 😔
It truly is so dangerous to keep a bunny outdoors! there are thousands of things waiting to happen to them! i know from past experience. Now i would never EVER keep a rabbit out side. Thank you for doing this Haley!
Thxs for the video my rabbit isn’t quite allowed in door to live but she spends so much time inside now. She had a set up and stuff thanks to this video.Still working in my parent rabbits are farm animals view though
Before my rabbit lived indoors we kept her cage in the shed and carried the cage out to a pen in the yard everyday so she could run around. A few years after she began living indoors the shed burned down completely. I am very thankful we moved her inside when we did!!
What I do , send emails about free roaming rabbits , trying to sound *educational* when I tell them to let them live inside over and over again , saying how dangerous it is outside , saying that their care is just like a vegetarian human that can not eat all veggies , YA! , over and over again , and you will LOVE them when get to know them and bond with them . literally still doing it now *hoping it works*
my bunnys are in the garage in a play pen! they have everything they need, and we have a fan for them! we try to keep the garage door shut most of the time! there is a light for them in the garage too! as well as a small window by their play pen (btw it does not open)! I am constantly researching about rabbits and i really do want them inside! we let them inside to run around for a while too! they love running up the stairs, and down the hauls! but, now they both have mites, AND an upper respitory infection! so we cant have them inside on the carpet bc i also have a dog! i really want the inside! i have tried asking my parents, but i share a room with my little sister, and she has lukimia. so we cant have animals in my room. We don't have enough space in the house for a play pen. So I want them to free roam. But living in a family of 6, and a dog, that would not go well. My parents know that we cant have rabbits outside outside, and they dont think the garage is a super good situation either. But we don't have much of an option. So my parents wanted to fix the garage up! we are probably going to fix up the walls and re paint the floors! I am so exited! For now this is the best we can do. do you have any tips? i actually just satrted a youtube channel on a different device called Lauryns Critter Care! But, it might be hard making a rabbit youtube achannel with two sick rabbits that live in the garage, but i am trying to do what i can! plz pray for the animals!
Even trying to convince my parents to let me keep them inside, they don’t want them in the house, I even asked them why they got me the rabbits if they weren’t going to let me keep them outside, and all they said was “so you could have a pet” I didn’t actually want rabbits but they got them for me anyway, I have had them for about 3 years and recently got another bunny but no matter what I do, my parents still do not want them inside, I clean their litter box twice a week, I make sure that the room is clean, and even make sure it doesn’t smell, yet my parents keep telling me that they shouldn’t be inside. I even try to convince them using facts and stuff but they just never listen
I'm very lucky My mom let my rabbits come inside as soon as I found out it isn't good for them to be outside and they have a massive bunny room :-) the only problem is the fur she doesn't like it but what can u do they gonna moult I can't help it also I have 4 rabbits so it's alot of fur
i wish my rabbits could live with you or Lennon the Bunny not only i would see them on you channel every day ,they would live in doors and get the right care
Lua is not aggressive and doesn’t mind the dog, who loves her too, so I’m heading towards free roaming her. But I got a second rabbit who was being given up by the breeder because he no longer wanted that breed, and she is so aggressive and is traumatized at everything and anything. She is terrified of my dog (he is a toy breed, not a terrier or a hunting breed), and I’m pretty sure she will attack my great grandparents if I free roamed. Also, Lua and Krome ultimately hate each other. So I can’t free roam her currently, until I can calm her down.
I have allergies to fur and hay and I have a rabbit two mice and a hamster. My rabbit lives outside but I’m going to try and convince my mum. I’ve already asked her and she said probably
My bunny is a indoor outdoor bunny so he uses a doggy door that leads to a fenced in backyard aswell as being free Rome in the house I hope you approve of this😁
Elise Honeycutt rabbits should ALWAYS be supervised when outside... there are birds and other animals that are dangerous, and bunnies can dig and EASILY escape... just thought I would let you know to keep ur bun safe :)
@@missnicolearie9266 thanks for letting Me know he is a Flemish giant and he has fish line on top so if a bird came to attack it would get caught and we can release it I assumed he would but thank you for letting me know I will be more aware and supervis him outside.
I wish my rabbits could live in side again but my parent said no because the first time they were in they chewed most of the forum wall paper off and I tried everything to get them liter box trained like what you said and lots of other yutuber said and it still didn't work
I had two rabbits and they grew to be 9 or 10 and my cat was honestly scared of the rabbits but my cat did get used to them. My dog did not really care she gave them 1 or 2 kisses once and a while but really did not care about them
How I convinced my perants to let my rabbit live inside is my dad said no my mom said no but then I just put a cage up in my room and they haven't said anything so it's okay but she just made my room her room

I am allergic to hay mostly the dusty part but i only have issues when i get to the bottom of the haybox so i just use an air purifier and allergy meds, it just makes me sneeze a lot but i just turn on the purifier for a hour or so and i'm good.
I love your RUclips channel so so much every time you post a video me and my bunnies sit on the couch and watch the video together
Me watching this video: **pauses it* “MOM?!”
Mom: “What do u want, I was sleeping .-.”
Me: “Why can’t our bunny live inside?”
Mom: “They S T I N K.”
Me: “What does?”
Mom: “Their poop..”
Me: *seriously*
He is litter trained. Just put the litter box in a corner where nobody will notice it. Problem SOLVED.
Mom: “I just don’t want that dirty farm animal inside.”
Me: WTFIEJDNDDKXMSOA
That is so true and funny 😂😂😂
That's what my parents said.....
I'm still working on it though😊
Same lol
Just wondering did you get your bunnies inside?
@@floras_farm2225 nope. Haven't even gotten one
YES🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Yes, pets teach humans compassion
I love your videos! I noticed around the 12 minute mark, the 3rd step (?) “ask for a trail run,” “trial” was misspelled as “trail.”
But that’s alright, everyone including myself misspell words too.💛
Me: allergic to cats. Also me: Not allergic to my bunnie
I don’t even need this video coz when I told my dad I want 2 rabbits he said they can live free roam in my spare room love ur video anyways
Lol that's pretty much what my mum said
Furry Peeps Ik how to look after them
Sophie May ....
N I C O L E what
Sophie May lucky
My parents said yes because when they were little my parents I had a lot of pets so I said if t h e y could keep so many e pets in their home why can't I keep a rabbit
Rizwana Afzal lol that’s the best reason
Is it safe? I had two but unfortunately one of my bunnies passed away Saturday night.
it should be safe as long as your rabbit doesn’t get too panicked. make sure to have them in a pet carrier with food and water and a blanket over-top to calm them. make sure to stop and check up on them and clean up when they pee or poop. good luck!
pinku no namida yes, i have a carrier and im going to attach a water bottle because its safer than a water bowl even if it doesnt give as much water.
I sing to my animals when we're on the road. I can't carry a tune but they don't seem to mind!
Me: acknowledges that I have a hunting dog Also me: gets a bunny then tells my dog “if it’s in the house it’s a friend not pray.” As if he can understand 😂
Holy crap ur first bunny was named Mocha and I'm watching this to convince my mom to let my bunny Mocha stay indoors 😂
my moms funny reason why bunnies can't live inside "living with a pet in the house is like living with a pet roach"
I'm almost 45 and my parents are gone but I know my Mum would have been thrilled having a house rabbit. My Dad would just have had to deal with it! (Or maybe we'd put DAD in a hutch outside!) 😜
In my culture it is very bad if we keep our rabbits in cages, hutches, etc so thats why my bunny is free roam in my room.
Yes I agree with you so much. I finished making my bunny room about 2 mouths ago. I now have my bunnies play in there all the time. (All day) So to my point I am a part of your culture! I really agree with you!
@@bunnyrachael1140 wow lol
I have a huge crate and pen for my rabbit that literally takes up half the living room. He needs some protection because I've got a psychotic cat but I'm planning on gutting his entire side of the room and bunny proofing and then it's bye-bye crate
@@thecartercrew3725 I love it! It makes me so happy to know you care for your bunny!
101Rabbits ok thank you! I won't use them any more!
My rabbit lives in a 7 by 4 nic cage😊🤩
My parents said I have to keep my bunny in the cold lonely basement I can’t bring it upstairs.
NutXella Dimond better than nothing my mom is fine with the buns indoors its just my dad and their poop and pee smell
Omg I so needed this video!😁❤️
Me too!!
Oh. My. God. Thank you so muchhh i needed this 😭😭
A good thing about beginning where I live there are no predators at all there are just cats who only came at night but mine never go out until the bright of day
Thank you for this video! I used the tricks you said, and boom! My parents want to leave the rabbit outside for a couple more days while we set up an enclosure, but that’s better than not at all! Thank you so much, this will really help my rabbit.
How can I convince my parents let my rabbit be free roamed?
Yeahh
8:17 Killed me XD 😂
If I try to litter train my bunny he just shoves it out the way 🙈
If I have to go to school and my parents have to go to work between 8am to 3pm will that affect anything for the bunny?
KawaiiLittle_Wolf 101 depends on the breed I guess.
It would be a really good idea to get another rabbit, so they can keep each other company. If you can't do that, they do like to sleep alot
Well, I go to school at 7 am or more early and I go home at 5 pm (I know. It's torture) but now.
*ONLINE CLASS BABY!!*
Can you do a convincing your parents to have a bunny pls I rlly want one ILYSM ❤💛💚💙💜😀
No, it doesn't work like that. You need the responsibility, if your parents don't think you're responsible enough then don't get a rabbit.
Yay!!
this is the video i need. thank you
Rabbits can be out doors find a good house and they love it
@@catherinebaird0810 my rabbits are outdoor rabbits. I am scared their is hawks, snakes in my area. :(
I have two bunnies, and they don't live at my house, they live next door at my sister's house.
For litter training you said in the text”they can’t be litter trained” 💗
thank you for making this! i needed it
Here's why my parents won't let my bunny in:
They think bunnies stink.
They try making excuses such as:
"We need a new house"
"We need a new car"(we got one a few days ago)
AND SO ON
And if i confront them they get so mad like its the end of the world smh.
and i dont think thisll work on my parents..
YAY! Almost 200k! Great job! Thank you so much. Without you my bunny would probably be living in a hamster cage as now she has a whole room! Thank you so much 😊
💗I really want to rabbit but my dad never lets 🐰me because rabbits he says they're dirty🐇
OMG TYSM WHY CAN DOGS LIVE INSIDE AND CATS AND BIRDS LIVE INSIDE BUT NOT RABBITS
Um not totally true my rabbits will not go outside and my friends won't as well so it just shows u they aren't bothered for being out
I’m 11 years old but sure!❤️
each rabbit has it's own personality my rabbit dosen't chew any walls or dig.
Yeah I mean I spend way over £1000 on food alone for my 4 rabbits that doesn't include vets litter toys treats etc
@@jasmineflower8724 wow you got it bad my little sweetheart is all miss me with that shit when it comes to toys. not even rolls, I call him the dockworker bunny because really seems to enjoy taking big dumps and either going back to sleep or munching his hay.
My parents won’t tell me why they think he’s gonna pee on my rug
Someone help
WolfyGamer77 just try to approach them about litter training and then if they still repeat show them what happens when he does use the restroom and compare it to what will happen inside
Mia Ledbetter I’ve tried several times and she won’t listen to me but I’ll keep trtinf
WolfyGamer77 yeah i keep trying too my dad blew up and yelled at me and my mom told me still no but i’m trying to push it to our garage. just keep trying:)
Mia Ledbetter ok I will but I ask and my grandma threatens to get rid of them my moms fine with the idea they used to be indoors but then she got a puppy last year and replaced them 😔
Thanks so much! I'll try this for sure^^
Chan Chorok- did it work?
Did it work?
Rabbits are super clean. Major plus!!! 😁😁😁😁
It truly is so dangerous to keep a bunny outdoors! there are thousands of things waiting to happen to them! i know from past experience.
Now i would never EVER keep a rabbit out side. Thank you for doing this Haley!
My mom used to breed rabbits and never thought of them as a pet. This channel helped my mom realize what I was talking about
Also I said to my dad that I wud have EVERY responsibility
Thxs for the video my rabbit isn’t quite allowed in door to live but she spends so much time inside now. She had a set up and stuff thanks to this video.Still working in my parent rabbits are farm animals view though
How do I convince my parents to let me free roam my rabbit?
Before my rabbit lived indoors we kept her cage in the shed and carried the cage out to a pen in the yard everyday so she could run around. A few years after she began living indoors the shed burned down completely. I am very thankful we moved her inside when we did!!
Lol “ya don’t just throw ur dog outside and be like, ‘hope ya survive!”….my parents do that😐
Thank you this is so helpful
OMG! U r soooo adorable. I wish that I knew ur channel when I was 12...even as a granny, I love ur channel.
I'm making a powerpoint to show my mother, she normally agrees to these things if its important and this is important so i hope i convince her!
great video! my cat does fine with my holland lop he tries to play with my bunny Milo all the time!
I made a whole presentation about this and going to convinc my parents tomorow wish me luck!!!
Thank you I really want my rabbit to free roam
I'm very lucky My mom let my rabbits come inside as soon as I found out it isn't good for them to be outside and they have a massive bunny room :-) the only problem is the fur she doesn't like it but what can u do they gonna moult I can't help it also I have 4 rabbits so it's alot of fur
Aww that’s great!
Have I done enough research? I have done it for a year?......I now have a rabbit
Our bunnies are free roam! Best thing we could have done for them😍😍🐰🐰
i wish my rabbits could live with you or Lennon the Bunny not only i would see them on you channel every day ,they would live in doors and get the right care
First!! Love your vids!!
Thanks for the video! I'm gonna try to convince my parents wish me luck!
Tanck you Soooooooo much for this video I finally convinced my mom to let my bunny live inside
Omg congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m still working on it lol!
Lua is not aggressive and doesn’t mind the dog, who loves her too, so I’m heading towards free roaming her.
But
I got a second rabbit who was being given up by the breeder because he no longer wanted that breed, and she is so aggressive and is traumatized at everything and anything. She is terrified of my dog (he is a toy breed, not a terrier or a hunting breed), and I’m pretty sure she will attack my great grandparents if I free roamed. Also, Lua and Krome ultimately hate each other. So I can’t free roam her currently, until I can calm her down.
i will try this out!!
I have allergies to fur and hay and I have a rabbit two mice and a hamster. My rabbit lives outside but I’m going to try and convince my mum. I’ve already asked her and she said probably
Im sooo happy i found this channel
My bunny is a indoor outdoor bunny so he uses a doggy door that leads to a fenced in backyard aswell as being
free Rome in the house I hope you approve of this😁
Elise Honeycutt rabbits should ALWAYS be supervised when outside... there are birds and other animals that are dangerous, and bunnies can dig and EASILY escape... just thought I would let you know to keep ur bun safe :)
@@missnicolearie9266 thanks for letting Me know he is a Flemish giant and he has fish line on top so if a bird came to attack it would get caught and we can release it I assumed he would but thank you for letting me know I will be more aware and supervis him outside.

I had two rabbits and they grew to be 9 or 10 and my cat was honestly scared of the rabbits but my cat did get used to them. My dog did not really care she gave them 1 or 2 kisses once and a while but really did not care about them
