Jazak Allahu khair Sheikh Omar. This episode made me extremely emotional. As much as Urwa RA has inshallah a beautiful welcoming waiting for him after death, its tragic to think of him going to his people so hopeful in them and full of faith only to have them refuse and kill him. Thinking of how the prophet peace be upon him knew that once Urwa RA left madina he was never comng back and that it must have brought back all those hurtful times in his own life...
May Allah SWT join us with prophet Muhammad peace be upon him and all the martyrs in the highest jannah.

Sheikh Suleiman, Abu Bakr (R.A.) could not have said this in Prophet's (S.A.W) presence. Scholars need to think about this. Compare it with another specific event when in Makkah Abu Bakr (R.A.) used far less rough language for Mushrikeen Makkah, and Prophet (S.A.W) showed his displeasure and Abu Bakr (R.A.) showed remorse. It is hard to imagine that at Hudaybia Abu Bakr (R. A.) is so upset, and loses self-control, and uses such a language. Please rethink.

Do you know that Sayyidina Abu Bakr was responding to him because Urwar (RA) was not a Muslim at that time. Don't you know that what Urwa said to Rasullah (SAW) at that time was an insult to the Sahaba (RA). No scholar had said Abu Bakr (RA) did not say that. Abu Bakr (RA) was the only person with Rasullah (SAW) during the Hijra. Abu Bakr (RA) told his own son he would have killed him if he had met him in the battle of Badr because he was not a Muslim. What Abu Bakr (RA) said to Urwa (RA) was to dispel and condemn Urwa's (RA) allegation that the Sahaba (RA) would flee and not defend Rasullah (SAW).
