It really felt like during the game Nuss was the primary reason we were struggling. How many 20+ yard attempts were made that were not even close to being open? Seemed like every red zone throw attempt was in the end zone. Ball placement seemed off. Lack of just gritty tuck and runs. He isn’t a bad QB, but he was not good this game…
Man… this is why LSU fans can’t enjoy anything. “LSU is lucky, man they got lucky, we were lucky “…. Can we not enjoy a win and enjoy the team showing effort.
What a room temperature iq take. Sorry that in a film study he........ accurately broke down the plays instead of just mindlessly celebrating a victory we were lucky to get.
Nuss is just like burrow throwing in 2018. Almostvthere but not quite. Agree a small percentage need to be tuck and run. But hey 6 games in as a starter hes doing good. That A&m game really setup the 2019 run. A catalyst of sorts
He was not better 😂 look at him at Tennessee LSU was able to run well last year with their starting RB. They were able to run with all their RBs in 2022.
Not taking up for Heard cause he hasn’t looked well at UT but we ran the ball last year because of Jayden. Either he ran it or threat of him running the ball allowed the RB to run.
Ya idk he don’t run at all but he did this game finally and it was a crucial run imo for some important yards but he could do this on so many plays before then but never did! If he could continue getting a couple runs for chunk yards then the teams may respect him and his RPO play may improve but who knows. Definitely not impressed as I thought I would be with his overall knowledge with seeing everything on the field being the fact his dad is the QB coach for nfl teams!
So far, 1/4 way in and it looks like our O-line is very much over-hyped? Is it that they are not developed enough by not being challenged at high enough a level by our supposedly ‘lesser talented’ D in scrimmages?
Loved that he got it done finally and hoping it sparks something in his mind to do this more often and look for the opportunities in film he has missed that he could take for yards in the future instead of trying a low completion psss or a interception type pass and getting 5-10 yards picking up easy first downs and sliding. He has so many opportunities imo to do this and try to fit it in somewhere and throws it incomplete or away and out of bounds. It’s like he just doesn’t even think about it as an option if he is scared idk but I would think the coaches have told him he could run in some of those situations as no one is spying him as they don’t respect his running ability at all and it could possibly open up much more in passing or for rpo possibility for him to throw it as well if he can pick up some consistent runs for a couple games in a row!
With this defense yes, without Nussmier willingness to run the ball to move the chains, no. Defenses don't believe he will run either so they drop extra men in coverage.
BK is going to take the ball almost everytime whether we like it or not. Time to move on from that. Is what it is. BK trusts his team, it hasn't changed any outcome of any game so far this season.
@@Familyman617 I know you're not talking to me like that player, taking the ball has benefited us zero times and Carter agrees. Talking sideways for no reason
Tigers going to the SEC championship this year and then losing to Texas probably if we beat bama! But if we lose to bama as long as it’s a close game we should make the playoff if that’s the only loss we have the rest of the season!

Watching this on my lunch break. Great stuff Carter!
Thank you Ryan!

BK kills me taking the ball first all of the time. And we seemingly never score first which makes it even more of a head scratcher.
@powerhour I find it so interesting that Brain Kelly said they would slim down the rotation and all of our main guys played like 85 snaps
Lol
Ark is never easy for us. We always let them stay around
Nuss still has a problem not seeing the open man and trying to throw the hardest completion vs the easy out. Saw it all night.
You saw it on the game-tying play at the end of regulation too. He dropped his nuts and threw the difference maker, on 4th and 5.
Texas A+M will be a tough game they are playing well

I’m still enjoying this win .
I’m loving this win all the way to Alabama hopefully as I’m hoping no hiccups from us before then!
Great stuff, Carter. Thanks
If we can stay healthy, and continue playing defense the way we did against Ole Miss, we absolutely can make the playoff.
carter at his best
Give this man 7 next year
Now I see why Lance herd left. I would too. If he doesn't get a chance to compete for a starting spot. If he's better

I wonder how its possible for your father to be a QB coach yet you have awful judgement on RPOs.
It's like if my dad was Chopin but Chopsticks fucked me up every time

@drdecco1 certainly. Still fantastic pass pro and Will is still That Guy, but our run blocking is cheeks still.
Ole Miss is also lucky Kyren didn't catch that pass at the end of half. That was a TD.
Nuss better start running for yards, Burtow did this
Good ol Burtow

@@GeauxRilla hence why I said it has had no effect on the outcome either way
Sometimes the players looked confused on offense, like they never ran the plays before.
That’s because they were going against a really good defense that had a scheme of confusing players but they figured it out when it mattered
Hello Mick...how you been?
They are young so could be why!

There will be multiple two loss teams in the CFP
Weeks for Heisman
Tryed to hit the like button but couldn't?
Ole miss is lucky we can't run and Nuss threw the ball away all night.
No Nuss makes too many bonehead mistakes.
