I grew up in Balloch, where the Lennox family originated. There's a small castle there. Nearby is dumbarton Castle where Mary Queen of Scots landed to take her place as Queen. What a find!

Can't beat shopping in the charity shops. You can find such good items a real mix. So much better than buying the mass produced stuff everyone buys from the big stores. The mix of old and new is much more interesting and far better for the planet to buy second hand. Love your style you can tell you love your home. ☺️

Countess Margaret Douglas is a wonderful find and right at home on your shelve, cannot live without my pepper mill, cute little bowl, great cook book too and I collect some too. Great looking shirt, the colors will look nice on you, and the pot is lovely. You had a great haul at the charity shops Luke. So happy London is opening up more and pray it continues. Be safe and have a super weekend. 😘🍷🍷🍷😘🙏

I think you did really well to buy those items - I have never had much luck in those particular charity shops - everything I like has always been too pricey! My mother had one of the large mixing bowls, and when I married I bought one too: they are such a traditional design, and still available - the little one you found is so sweet!

Thank you Luke for uploading another wonderful video. Your mint stripped shirt is in my Lands' End catalog for 38.99. Wanted to thank you for sharing the FSC wood brush; I have several round scrubbies and use them all the time but when I found the detachable wand I did not know what it was for so my granddaughter snatched up this treasure and she uses it for her bubble blowing.

Haha i understand your enthusiasm for the pepper mill, although I didn’t when I was younger. From the age of 13, I only received household items from my aunts for Christmas. One Christmas one of my aunts bought me an authentic Peugeot pepper mill… and at that time I thought it was the most boring gift ever.
But little did I know at that I would grow into a foodlover and a hobby cook. I’m so pleased with it now, freshly cracked pepper just elevates every dish.
