This is further making me want to visit Tokyo Disneyland all the more because of lands like this and Disneysea as a whole. Because if I'm ever gonna visit at least one Disney park in my lifetime it's this one. Mostly because of how beautifully made this is. Especially Fantasy Springs.
Yup, but the Oriental land company knows what they're doing! They prioritze quality and know thats their bread and butter, whereas the Disney corporation nowadays only tries to maximize profits on anything they can, milking their most relevant and profitable franchises as dry as possible, and cheap out on the execution, with no respect for the audience, nor their creatives in any of their divisions.
@remyd8767 maybe, though under this model they also don't get all of the profit that comes from these parks, only some of it, which I'm sure infuriates some of Disney's higher up leadership and shareholders since they can't micromanage the place and increase profit margins to absurd levels like they've done elsewhere
@drdewott9154 yeah. Maybe. But seeing that Disney Tokyo is a very well received resort and DisneySea is widely considered to be the best theme park in the world, leadership probably doesn't mind it too much. Remember that even though they don't manage the park day to day, Disney still has majority control over all things creative including ride designs and storytelling.
What's incredible is that this park which was already ridiculously extravagant and extra in every way built this new land that is also just as extravagant and extra in every way with no noticable modern shortcuts/budget cuts. Frozen ride is just insane quality, Pan is Transformers but is a really really great screen ride, Rapunzel is shorter but still very high quality and nails every scene it has, and Tinkerbell is at least as good as most classic Fantasyland dark rides. This park goes beyond Theme Park, to the level of great human art and achievement. No expense is spared.
I'd say the only part of the Fantasy Springs expansion that kinda lacked that extra oomf was the hotel. It's pretty, but it's not in the same LOD as the Miracosta.
@@이마크-r8e Agreed I wouldn't stay there over Miracosta but it still looks better than Riviera or Destino Tower and you get the dedicated entrance to use.
After having experienced Disney Tokyo this past summer, I can honestly say it's best theme park resort I've been too. As good as Epic Universe looks, I don't think it can beat DisneySea from a sheer theming, attraction package, and general size of the park.

It's mostly rock work with trees, and whilst it is beautiful, it's in DisneySEA! Mysterious Island, Arabian Coast and Mediterranean Harbor are all much nicer areas (theming wise) IMO. Oh, and it was nice to finally meet you btw!
I mean I kinda beg to disagree. Those other lands are great but its wonderful to have some theme park areas that really put emphasis on plants and natural beauty! Like no matter how well themed it is, a theme park land with no vegetation will still feel a bit off, like too much at times. A place like Fantasy Springs seems very tranquil and endearing but in a more relaxing way. And you need that in a theme park. As much as these places are often about excitement, you need to have some places of tranquility around and between the exciting experiences that you can simply enjoy and not burn yourself out with.
What an amazing look at Fantasy Springs - you guys never disappoint with the content that you are putting out, the quality is always way up there. This new land is putting the US parks to shame... Idk about greedy but I'm still dissapointed that OLC never brought back annual passes or their old ticket tiers like multi-day tickets because they know that people that plans to do multiple days would still pay for the 1-day tickets.
