Seventh Wonder "Wiseman" from the album "The great escape" (2010).
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lyrics:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Somewhere beyond two pale blue eyes
You got a feeling that something here ain't right
So you keep them closed with all your might
And live your life even though your heart is on the line
Still you sway in silence killing time with wine
Every moment hit below the waterline
A tear in the design
The band's still playing but the captain resigns
And as we're all going down
She's trying hard not to drown
Fallen
Maid of earth wind of fire
By the hands of your lies
Wiseman looks up from his cold crystal ball
While he cries Utopia dies
You know it's only up to you
But you don't want to believe what you know is true
Still hiding behind your mirrors blue
What will you do every time your children turn to you?
Wondering ‒ when the world is gone, will we go too?
Every moment hit below the waterline
A tear in the design
The band's still playing but the captain resigns
And as we're all going down
She's trying hard not to drown
Fallen
Maid of earth wind of fire
By the hands of your lies
Wiseman looks up from his cold crystal ball
While he cries Utopia dies
Please tell us a story of Oceans and skies
Let's imagine this beautiful paradise before us rise
Now open your eyes...
Watching this land
Once majestic and grand
Still I can't feel the truth in my hand
I keep spreading this bad disease
And fall down on my knees
Because I'm here to confess
And I'm sorry goddess!
But she's quiet today
Silent as it to say
Fly away!
Fallen
Maid of earth wind of fire
By the hands of your lies
Wiseman looks up from his cold crystal ball
While he cries Utopia dies

Tommy has the most wonderful emotion in his voice! I had no idea about these guys til he'd joined Kamelot. Glad I decided to check them out :)
I've been a fan of DT for over 10 years, and while I would say that they are my favorite band, I have to say that I like Tommy's voice more than LaBrie's.
Man, I was thinking the same thing, this guy has such a great voice!
Seventh Wonder is the hero modern metal needs. It's time to bring the metal back baby!!
I wish Kamelot would allow Tommy to really go off with passion as he does on the Seventh Wonder albums. The crescendos are AWESOME!
In Kamelot All of them should have more freedom to create... ALL the musicians are underestimed there...
I absolutely agree
I'm just discovering this band today (thanks to Kamelot) and I have to say I love what I'm hearing. Tommy's voice is fantastic. I'll be buying this album.
He is one of the greatest singers ever, man. It's crazy. I wonder what the ef happens in Sweden in order for them to have the best singers in the world.... Insane vocals. Beautiful!
I honestly think this might be my favorite song on the album. The note at 2:20. So freakin' sweet.
met Tommy at the Kamelot/Nightwish concert the other night. Great dude, amazing live :D
Great song, excellent album . Tommy is incredible.
4:04 what a singing section
someone understand...
holy fuck this part always gives me goosebumps
its fucking melodic and feels so fantasy
love it. girls who think metal sucks...i always let them hear this part. and they are shocked
Buy Mercy Falls and Waiting In The Wings too - really good stuff! :)
I agree with that, took the words out of my mouth. I get chills and such emotion from Kamelot.
My all time favorite vocalist right here - hands down!!
to tell you the truth, Kamelot has brought me here! I believe it is quite ungrateful to replace Roy, but this guy is... how to put it.... exceptional!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok I'm a big fan of Kamelot but come on guys this is Seventh Wonder! Enjoy their beautiful music please!
I love this band I love this vocals wonderful!!!!!
Listen to the song Pieces by Seventh Wonder. He's had eight years to develop from THAT level which was already incredible. Khan's range has deteriorated for a decade now, you can easily notice it when you watch A Cold Winter's Night's older songs.
A beautiful and amazing song
i like this band......really really crazy musicnote and beat in this song
I love how this song is also about Aniara just like The Great Escape
he has the best voice I've ever heard.
So this is Tommy Karevik, the guy who has replaced the legend that is Roy Khan. At first I had my reservations that anyone could come close to being as good as Roy was, but now I can safely say that Tommy is going to do great work for Kamelot. I can now look forward to Silverthorn without reservations.
11 years later, how did you like it?
these guys are good i didnt know about them till tommy became the singer for kamelot
It's true. These guys will forever prosper from Kamelot. BUt in my opinino, they're "better."
Most people didn't know about this band until Tommy joined Kamelot
Jon Richards I discovered him after hearing him on two of Ayreon's albums
@krickerd
We are playing in Bodø - Norway.
My band is "Tarsius" and we play experimental/trash/heavy/progressive/undefinable-metal/hardrock x)
We got some demos at: nrk(dot)no/urort/artist/Tarsiustheghostmonkey/default(dot)aspx
Buy keep in mind, its DEMOS recorded in a outhouse and mixed with unsuitable computers x)
Hopefully we'll get an EP out when we get some more money :)
Tommy brings a style his own to the live Kamalot shows. He is the replacement that was needed after Roy Khan left.
@NorwegianAndroid I have an awnser! Tommy himself said on an interview that they chose wrong genre
singer for this band is in kamelot now, tommy is a great singer
It's just my opinion, though I would have to disagree on that. I'll have to see when I hear the new Kamelot album. I am a long time loyal fan of Kamelot, so that might be why I'm still with Roy Khan as my favorite. Tommy is no doubt an excellent vocalist with lots of range and skill. There's something I'm looking for and I haven't heard it yet. That's why I put them on an even level until I hear Tommy in Kamelot.
@Savstad95 Nice! What city? Not that I'd be able to go. What's your band name? Do you have any recordings or website?
Awesome Band! Hope they play the Bay Area in California.
Someone hear recommend me more great songs by these guys, I need more songs by these guys.
Hey, that could have been me. I used to post Seventh Wonder links on Omegle some time ago.
great band!when in Rome??????
4:03 ..so..pretty..so..epic..so amazing!
same reason i decided to check them too..:D
Magnific
I would agree with you... Roy Khan set the bar really high this guy comes really close but Khan...
🤘💜🤘💜🤘💜🤘United in metal worldwide 🤘💜🤘💜🤘
nice one...
Please guys, stop being over-zealous about roy khan.
I am a very die hard Kamelot fan since 5 years ago or so. I discovered Seventh Wonder thanks to Tom Youngblood announcing Tommy as new singer.
Even though I absolutely loved Khan and I feel very sorry for him leaving the band, Youngblood made a fucking great choice by picking Tommy. You must accept Tommy is not Khan, but that doesn't mean that Kamelot isnt going to keep being fucking amazing. I absolutely love Tommy's voice.
He's even even with Roy Khan with me. I can't say which one is best.
@krickerd
Couldnt restist telling you that my band is opening for theese guys in a month :)
So I get to hang out with the whole band, and they will use my keyboardstand :)
@NorwegianAndroid Its the right genre but most of people dont get it
Found these guys on Last FM.,.. Needless to say they kick almost too much ass lol
Realy ATKDat. Very great sound.
I disagree. Khan has amazing range, flawless tone, and can sing just about anything. Karevik, good as he is, is quite young, and it shows in his voice.
Listen to Tears for a Father by Seventh Wonder before saying that! :P
Le queda mucho mejor el performance de esta banda
He had lost some of his range, I don't deny that. None the less, in conception his range was incredible. When I look at everything, I think they're even even. I remember when I listened to Abandoned by Kamelot, His voice was like silk. I guess I'm bias, I'll probably never change my mind.
Its actually Wizemen not wisemen
To me I guess I see it different, or rather hear it different. I am of course very impress by Tommy's vocals. He's become one of my favorites. But in Conception Roy Khan had such a huge range. But he lost some of his range throughout the years, so I can't say which one is better they sit on the #1 list for clean male vocalist for me.
The hell are you talking about man? Deepness? What do you even mean with that? Frequency wise or......? Dude you need to take your nostalgiaglasses off. Kamelot was my teenage years and I still listen to those albums with warmth but it doesn't stop me from realizing what a fucking great singer they found to replace Roy. Tommy is a really soulful singer, just listen to the ballads of Seventh Wonder and try to tell me anything else xD
Thanks to the omegle stranger who linked me something that could pull me out of my super Dream Theater kick.
The whole mercy falls album basically from start to finish my friend. Hide and seek and unbreakble are my favorite
Screw hollywood! that's why!
I would disagree. Tommy is good but I still prefer Roy Khan.
Better than Daniel Gildenlöw´s voice? Sorry but i DON´T think so!
Tommy is already better than Roy ever was, vocal ability wise.
Sorry dude ... but buy yourself a new pair of ears. That guy here can sing well .. techinally-wise. But there no deepness and charisma like in Khans voice. Kamelot will defintely sound more generic with Karevik as a singer. I love the band nevertheless, but it won't be the same anymore.
This sounds absolutely like Symphony X. Wtf
this song may have some elements that sound like them yes but theres alot that doesnt
This argument is pointless Tommy and Khan are both great, but we all know Dream Theater vocalist James LaBrie is the best in the business.
