Julie Ertz is one of my favorite players. I am happy she is back. I wish her the best in this upcoming world cup no matter what her contribution is to the squad....
Why is she not a captain or co-captain? She was obviously the best player on the team (or at least the most impactful) during the late 2010s. She's so articulate as well - only player I feel is worth listening to without the "how I take care of my hair" or "my favorite dog" non-relevant stuff.
She is THE #6 we need both screening the back line but going forward in attack. Few play it at her level and she gives us an experienced player to balance out the youth.
