Yeah because we saw and thought things were going in a good direction. Instead visual and audio design took a nosedive, so did other areas of entertainment like the gaming industry and movies and television anymore. RUclips isn't even the same anymore, its not RUclips, it isn't for the users, individuals, or content creators anymore. It's just like anything else these days, with cash grabs, consumers, clickbait, and if creators don't follow the ever vice-like algorithm, regulations, advertisers, and etc. then they fall by the wayside or get hushed out. We were optimistic about the future when we looked behind us to the past and saw the most amazing things come out of the 90's and prior, and to see the rise of the digital age, gaming, home technology, the internet, and more we thought it could only be up from there in the late 90's and the 2000's. Then the internet became less of a final frontier and more of a corporate cutting board, game developers and companies got lazy and greedy quicker than almost any major industry to grace humanity in generations, and the age of communication and digital ascension became a sad joke.

I’d be really weary about this mindset. I assume we’re both 2000’s kids, we don’t wanna become the next boomers, do we? The simplification style is just that, a style. Neither better or worse. @@DynamiteMustDie yeah, that's how it always is and people always forget it, of course you feel nostalgic for your childhood, not because it was actually better, just because that's how nostalgia works. Soon enough there will be a new popular style and soon enough people will miss today.
This shit is so weird to me. I remember posters in my middle school back in 2008-2009 showing images like the ones shown in this video. I remember music like this in electronic stores. I remember thinking that technology was bound to bring us to a slick, cyber-corporate future and that my generation would be the first to live in that world. Now it's already an aesthetic of the past. I wish we could embrace our collective dreams instead of bending to the vision of the wealthy few.
This aesthetic unfortunately faded out... and we didn't even realize how good it was. Everything was so much more atmospheric, everything that used this aesthetic seemed to have its own soul. Now, living in a world almost entirely dominated by simplification, it hurts to think it was once detailed, vibrant, alive, happy, optimistic... Frutiger Aero brought to us all the most pure form of beauty that there is being represented in our devices: nature itself. It reminded us that there's no hope or future if our minds are not centered around nature. At least, that's how I see it.
Frutiger Aero is one of my fav aesthetics of all time. I wish there was a time machine for a trip to stay in the 2000s so my nostalgia would go away. ☺️

i wasn’t even alive in the 2000s. there’s just something about frutiger aero and it’s music and pictures that I love so much. it makes life and all its issues feel less real, and I love that feeling.
The reason why i absolutely love this aesthetic is it reminds me of the beginning of summer. Walking home after school with that warm breeze, not a cloud in the sky, its not hot, but not too cold for a T-shirt, feeling the wind and sun on my skin. This is only the tip of the iceberg. Real good times.
I was always searching for this aesthetic, I'm glad to know it has a name. It reminds me of being a child, since I was born in 2001. It makes me think of the amazement and wonder at the world, especially the technology. Like my brother and I watching these weird youtube videos on our windows xp machine, the thick crt monitor, the sounds it made booting up. or when I got my ds, and all the kids were doing pictochat and playing mariokart together. It was all so wonderful and astonishing, and the future seemed limitless. I wish everything wasn't so dreary and soulless as it has become.

This aesthetic makes me so sad… I feel like it embodies human progress but also being connected and respecting nature. It just feels like the opposite of what things are nowadays
Wow, I just discovered the term " Frutiger Aero" and I wasn't expecting so much nostalgia, especially from the first image and the Bliss wallpaper. I feel like I'm back in my beach/dolphin themed childhood room playing on my Nintendo while Skyping with friends.
the most nostalgic thing to me is the Nintendo DSi camera roll theme, i used to spend hours just taking pictures of my face and drawing over it, awesome video!!!!!
THIS AESTHETIC HAS A NAME? idk if this is a complete representation of the whole concept but to see it be recognized and distributed is very satisfying
Holy crap I was not expecting the Supersponge Oil Rig track, literally one of my favorite songs as a kid, that outright jumpscared me. I love that song.
Fruitiger Aero makes me feel like there is genuinely a universe out there built off of this aesthetic and we just haven’t found it yet. Feels deeper than just an aesthetic.
if this kind of music interests you, i highly suggest james ferraro's album "far side virtual". its been one of my favorite for years, and it incorporates frutiger aero very awesomely :D
This video brings back so many memories…I had a friend who owned a blue 1998 iMac G3, and I remember as a kid thinking that it was the prettiest and most futuristic looking computer I have ever seen 😂 This aesthetic was practically everywhere from the early 2000s up until the 2010s. This is so nostalgic ~ ✨
God please take me back to a time where windows 7 was still the newest o.s. and every website had shiny/polished toolbars. I can't live in this corporate friendly, vector-graphic hell forever.
i both love and hate nostalgia. For example, these images and songs bring me good memories that make me happy , but after a few minutes they just start making me depressed lol

DSi camera album is especially nostalgic to me because by the time I was old enough to play, my sisters had lost all the games so I'd spend time scrolling through photos taken before I was born or when I was really young.
Actually, The most popular music genre in media, television and ads during this era was Deep Drum And Bass.
Atmosphere Chapter 2 Mix (2007) Reminds me of Frutiger Aero a lot
I think i should do my own Frutiger Aero playlist with that music
Edit 1: After an extended joureny across the internet, im proud to anounce that i gathered over 4 hours worth of Rare Unheard 2000 - 2014 music from multiple genres. Time to put my Audio Editing Skils to the test.
Definitely miss this era, I realize a lot of my love for nature and bright skies and clouds isn't just from nature but because that's all we were advertised as well, everything was very bright and nostalgic. When I see these I get extremely sentimental because this is no longer sought out for
This aesthetic makes me so sad… I feel like it embodies human progress but also being connected and respecting nature.
Maybe life wouldn't be so depressing if we brought this asthetic back
I would love it, if global warming stops soon and everyone do something about what is happening currently.
I'm all for it
We need to bring back Frutiger Aero
This was the future we were promised...
25:29 young fly on the track🗣🗣💯💯
the most nostalgic thing to me is the Nintendo DSi camera roll theme, i used to spend hours just taking pictures of my face and drawing over it, awesome video!!!!!
I was 14 in 2004, this was the future, ipods and wi-fi wow
My brain is TRAPPED in this era. Trapped in the wii menu
got high and listened to this... its actually amazing , the music brightened the room color!
One of the best Frutiger Aero playlists out there
THIS AESTHETIC HAS A NAME? idk if this is a complete representation of the whole concept but to see it be recognized and distributed is very satisfying
U should try seeing frutiger metro if u like this aesthetic
@@bimbolvrs this comment was 5 months ago. i got hooked to the aesthetic rabbithole since.
@@omnitone same here,u should try looking into lesser known aesthetics if ur still down the rabbit hole
glad we’re all coming together to appreciate this era of the internet 😍🙏🏻
you know a playlist is good when it has 4 most replayed parts in one video
the early 2000s fever dream i needed. thank you lmao
We need to have this design come back, everything is too simple and boring now. This design so was so happy, amazing, unique, fun, and eye catching.
Holy crap I was not expecting the Supersponge Oil Rig track, literally one of my favorite songs as a kid, that outright jumpscared me.
I love that song.
I’d be interested in hearing what a Frutiger metro playlist would sound like, I imagine it’s be a challenge to pick good ambient tracks for it
ruclips.net/video/IryQUJY7Zwg/видео.html (a frutiger metro playlist I found)
I love the transitions!
thanks !!
Laura Shigihara owns this 🔥🔥🔥
Super nostalgic to see this style again. Such a strange feeling this style gives off...
Fruitiger Aero makes me feel like there is genuinely a universe out there built off of this aesthetic and we just haven’t found it yet. Feels deeper than just an aesthetic.
I hated this genre when I was a kid, yet now I'm willingly coming for more.. 😢
There’s something so calming about this artstyle
if this kind of music interests you, i highly suggest james ferraro's album "far side virtual". its been one of my favorite for years, and it incorporates frutiger aero very awesomely :D
How i wish to go back to that simpler times
Im drinking a pear cider and taking a bubble bath and i feel like everything's gunna be ok.
Awesome playlist my dude. Listening to this as I study for finals.
I was born in the year 2000 exactly. So it feels like this is my theme song xD
You didn't have to hit me with the DSI Camera Zombies on your Lawn combo 😭
This is the nostalgia for your immediate post childhood, encompassing your teens and concluding just before adulthood, I'd say lol
mentally, i will always be trapped in frutiger aero. i remember coming across photos of it on pinterest and i was like "this is so me fr"
Oil Rig from Spongebob Super Sponge, such an underrated song
i both love and hate nostalgia. For example, these images and songs bring me good memories that make me happy , but after a few minutes they just start making me depressed lol
the future we needed💔💔
The Nintendo DSi album hits hard
yeah :(
God, I miss 2010
The future we were promised but never got
I'm sure heaven looks like this.
Frutiger Aero Nostalgia is my Childhood since 2004 that was born in November 23, 2004 that the Frutiger Aero era has begin.
Idk what frutiger aero is but this makes me really nostalgic and happy for some reason.
I dont know how to explain but i just want to die in this world and live in the Frutiger Aero world for all eternity in pure bliss.🙏
Damn I feel fresh after hearing this.
frutiger aero is what drinking a cold mcdonalds sprite at 3am feels like. so refreshing
It doesn't even feel like years ago.
5:24 THE MEMORIES…. hit me right in the feels man
Last one made broke me. From the actual time it was from to nice YT vids I watched when beginning my Steam gaming journey, it made me remember.
The dsi camera album music oh my god. I’m gonna cry
Such a pretty aesthetic!! Let's stay positive for the future and work hard for it =)!!
Just so you know, I play this on loop on my 8 hour shift and makes life so much easier😭💗 thank you ‼️
