Thanks man , I'm a CB and this really helped me for my summer workouts , I never knew about the outsideoversplit and Inside when the reciever line up and I have a bad habit when the ball is in the air i don't look at the ball but this help I'll work on it
#JoeHaden You are my cornerback role model and in my opinion you r the greatest shutdown cornerback in the league and also I hope u have a great career and break records and go into the hall of fame
I play CB/WR for my high school football team and I'm fighting for a starting spot, been improving all season and coach says I might get some playing time next week so I'm hype.
I remember Joe getting so emotional after a game because the Browns kept losing. You could hear the passion in his voice and saw it in his eyes. He wasn't playing just for money, he wanted to win. Shame he spent so long in Cleveland. He deserved better.
Great position..it was my primary position in high school and a little bit of club football in college. I was an idiot playing DB in high school only because in hindsight you had to make very small adjustments to stop a receiver-line up accordingly and just get them off their route.
The hardest job in professional sports as far as involving a ball , because the rules changes force the CORNER to adjust where the WR is going as long to as them meeting up at the LOS and getting a bump in run in , back in the day it used to be long routes , now it's short route packages and medium routes so it depend on the particular receiver
I wanna be a corner for the browns with Joe haden. Idk if you guys realize but they won't be bad forever. Also, if anyone watching this video say they don't wanna play corner in the NFL is lying
Respect to the 🌟🤝✌☝️💯🌎Corners of the NFL.....thats a lot to have to know, AND BESIDES ALL THOSE TECHNIQUES, YOU HAVE AN NFL "PLAYBOOK" TO DIGEST......SHEESH🤳🤔😃🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🌎
Toxic Nova . I prefer staying up close at corner. Either right up and push him once the ball is snapped to give myself a boost against him. But usually I play 3 yards off slighty inside. This stops any slants. Plus you can still play man and get in on he ball. Just don't stay very far inside or the receiver will get open. Stay where your outside foot (the one closest to the receiver) I lined up with their inside foot (one closets to the quarterback) This is the best way I have ever covered anybody. I've only played for 2 years but it hasn't been on a good team at all. In fact we only scored 2 times all year. With that said you know somebody has to lead tje defense. I try my best to do that. In my whole 2 years if playing my receiver only scored once out of all of them. One time in my whole football career. I've been caught on twice (including the TD) and have had 1 interception. While those stats just sound like I don't play much I do play a ton. I feel I could have more picks I just don't get the ball thrown on me tons. Usually they just throw it away. I highly recommend you try this technique as it has worked for me so well.
@@osnshair7200 you can do that in zone maybe, with outside shade. or in the red zone when they running a slant no matter what. But generally speaking, you should either press or play off, not be in between.
Joe Haden...You should really come to Dallas where they treat their players well...and a CB is desperatly needed...and convince the globe you the BEST CB on the planet.
bro the athleticism, discipline, and reaction time needed to play this position is absurd. Can’t think of many things in sports that is harder than going 1v1 against an all pro WR
LMAOOO but he is not overrated. He inly played 12 of the 16 games and he still had over 1,200 yrds receiving. He had 94?? Catches i think. And almost 25-30 of his catches were AMAZING!! Im a Ravens fan saying this???? So not overrated. But that OBJ youtube account is still FAKE. Prove ur real and answer the question i asked.
"Maybe one day, you'll be a DB like me."
"Aw, thanks, Joe."
"-For the Browns"
"Dammit, Joe."
Dan Brown lol
Dan Brown 😂
😂😂😂
For the steelers*
Dan Brown 😂
playing corner is hard lowkey
Yeh
Hahah fr
it really is when they catch a long pass and score a touchdown everybody on your ass 😂😂
especially in high school people don't know how hard it is until they try it themself
fr, everyone thinks its so easy
Guys this is a video on DB techniques, not a comment section for you to list your obviously biased top 5 corners
Exactly thx u people need to think and see if ur saying Sherman is the best corner because A. U really think he is OR B. Ur a biased Seahawk fan
+Ali Ngomesia he'll no Patrick Peterson bet then sherm
+Golden Boy sherm isn't the best corner Chris Harris Jr. Is but going by advanced stats Sherman is second
Whoathereitsben If ur saying that because he gave up 0 TDS in 2014, then thats an arguement. But idk really, i havent seen enough from him.
+Whoathereitsben sherman is better...
I'm a cb and these really helped! Thanks joe
Me too.
Best corner advice I've ever heard!
Hey joe Haden thanks! For doing this video I really did some of the moves you taught me and I got 3 picks of that slant route!👌🏻
