I went to meps last month and took the whole asvab. Since this was my second time taking the test, they said I couldn’t take the verification test, which sucked, but I still got a really good score, better score than the first time😄 I’m also joining the Air Force and I’m going in as an intelligence analyst. I’ll be shipping out June 13!

@@thiagogregory1 Honestly I just used online asvab practice websites and they do a pretty good job imo. I remember my recruiter telling me not to buy study books, ones you could buy at barnes and noble or something cause they don’t help and you’ll just be wasting your money. I was previous army and I also did intelligence analyst 35F as my mos so this is based on what I know. There are also minimum qualification scores to get a certain mos. For 35F I know you need at least a 101 on the ST portion of the test which consists of general science, math knowledge, verbal expression and mechanical comprehension. So if you really want 35F I would suggest focusing on studying these areas but also arithmetic reasoning just in case. Also this is just me but don’t waste your time on studying auto and shop or electronics if you’re not familiar with them bc those two don’t really count for the job you want but if you do, it can help with your overall score.
What I don’t like is 30mins for a 30 question test like bro it took me 5 hours to get an 83, n u telling me I gotta take a 30 min test that’s 30 questions 😂
I just passed the asvab with a high score and this video helped a lot
DO NOT CHANGE ANY ANSWERS FROM YOUR PICAT ON YOUR VERIFICATION TEST & u be fine I got most of my same question even if u know the right answer choose the wrong one from the picat

I took the PiCAT and thought I would get a low score but ended up getting a 96 now I’m nervous about the verification test 😂

I took the picat, my recruiter told me to study the Kaplan and I studied that guide and also used Quizlet. It was really helpful, got an 82

Your videos are very helpful. I’m taking the ASVAB again so that I can get a higher score and more benefits. I’ve passed everything and I just need to take the ASVAB again. Went to meps to verify my picat, not sure if this is normal for everybody’s verification test but mine was harder and completely different questions only like 10 were the same from the official picat, Im pretty positive I failed to verify so I had to take the Asvab which thank god I passed that because I took it so seriously I was stressing out(I’m not the brightest academically),my advice coming from my experience is that you should genuinely learn the math to be prepared for the verify test and definitely be ready to take the asvab just in case

What’s surprising is I never learn anything about Mechanical, Electronics, Shop Information or Automotive.

So I went to my recruiter the other day expecting to take the practice asvab, to see where I was, but my recruiter put me in front of the whole PiCat and I was like "wait, sir? I thought I was taking the practice? I didn't study!" And he was like "Oh it's fine, if you score badly, you can take it again." And I totally expected to fail, but some how balled out a 95. Now I'm panicking about the verification test 😂

Dont be i failed Asvab 3 times
the asvab is just basic math so study like 6th grade to 10th
Use a program. Simple as that... Put in the work and you will pass. All it takes is effort. It’s not rocket science.
Everything is on RUclips that you need. I got a 51. It's not high but it's passing. Plus take the practice test that Google provides.

Is the verification test the same as the one you take at home as far as length and difficulty, or is it a shortened/condensed version just to verify that you can get the same score?
If it’s the same, what’s the point of taking the one at home when you’re just going to have to take it again in person anyway?
The verification is a shorter version just to make sure you truly took the test by yourself and that it is your knowledge used to answer the questions. It is the same difficulty but shorter than the original.

Hey! For me, the verification only took about 30 minutes but sometimes people are randomly selected to take the entire ASVAB again! Good luck!
Are the Qs on the PICAT verification the exact same from the Picat and how Qs do they ask from each section, thanks for the video!
I believe the questions on the verification were similar if not the same as the ones on the PICAT. I don’t remember how many questions they asked from each section because they were all mixed around!

How long did you get to take while testing on the ou-cat and how long did you get to take on the verification. Like oils you spend 10 minutes on one question and just slowly work it out? Or is it still rushed?

Took the picat at home got an 88 overall just got it verified a couple days ago now I just need to figure out what I want to do 😅

What does it mean when I will have “similar questions” on the verification test after taking the PICAT at home? Are the questions worded differently or are they the exact same?
If I’m ganna be honest I don’t complete remember but I think most of the questions weren’t exactly the same, but the same concepts. If that’s makes sense

Thank you for informing. May I ask what will be ask on the verification. I’m going to MEPS very soon and a bit nervous 😬
The verification will just ask you similar questions to what was on the original Pi Cat. But if you take the ASVAB at meps in person you wouldn’t need a verification test!

I’m nervous because it may ask me questions that’s not even in this asvab book 📖 I’m reading.
I notice questions on the practice be completely different from the theory.

you only need at 33 or higher to get security forces (law enforcement for airforce) but that depends on the branch you wanna be involved with.

I would say similar, the book I used was a great resource!

Yes, they really lowered the requirement on asvab, however, you have to pass the ASVAB once you join and they have their tutors.
How many questions do you have to get right on the picat verification to keep your score. I scored a 127 GT & 88 overall & am nervous on how many I can miss out of the 30 on the verification
You just need to pass the verification. If you fail, they’ll know you had help. You should miss really no more than a few questions per section. Let us know how you do! My PiCat verification is on Friday

What other resources did you use to study? Was it only the ASVAB for dummies book?
I only used the book and practice test online but there are many different resources you can use!

I just took my Picat and got a 81 I have my verification test next week, is it gonna be the same exact questions? And what if I answer some of my “wrong answers” correctly at the verification? Is it bad? Should I just rather keep the wrong answer? I’ve been studying more since I took the Picat and was wondering if it would be a fail to answer incorrect answers correctly . And How many math questions are there? It’s my biggest insecurity and I get exam anxiety so hoping they are the same.

Honestly I think some questions were the same but I don’t think they all were but I may be mistaken. And I’m sure if you get wrong ones right this time they won’t fail you for that ( I’m assuming) also I don’t remember how many math questions there were exactly but the test as a whole didn’t take very long so it shouldn’t be many.

Was the the verification test the same as the Picat
What categories are on the verification test i.e: General Science, Word Knowledge, Arithmetic Reasoning, etc.
How much time were each of the sections you are listing? Also how many questions per section?
for me personally there were about 15 questions for each section and it only took a few minutes for each question. You get a total of about 3 hours to complete the whole thing, it’s 135 questions
I took the Picat and got a 35 next week ill be goin to meps to verify it but idk if they goin to be same question from the picat. Was it the same or some ?
How was it for you ,when I went to meps to verify my picat it was completely different questions only like 10 out of 30 were the same and I think I failed it because I took the whole other asvab but thank god I passed that
@@user-pt5nx5xl4g yeah it was all different questions it wasn’t the same question there where only like 2 or 3 but then most of them are different questions and it roll me to a full asvab and i took it and i got 15 :(

I am Spanish but a resident, I want to take the test but my English is still not very good, I will follow you during my process I want to study as a medical technician, can you physically do push-ups haha? sorry i want to know everything
No worries! Please ask as many questions as you have! To answer your question I can do push ups but I can not do many! Fitness is something I’ll have to work on once it gets closer to time.
I took the PICAT test at the recruiters office, now it’s time for the verification test, is it really 4 questions?
Mine was way more than 4 questions but everyone’s experience is slightly different so I can’t confirm or deny what you’ll see when you take it.

I took my picat the other day and got a 67, enough to qualify for the jobs I was wanting. I go tomorrow for the verification test and I don't remember much from science that I answered...I know what I'm doing in math but still, I'm nervous

@@pikapika1449 Took mines today and awnserd all the same & had to do full asvab still and unless your extremely good at math, WK,PC….. General Science will not be your friend did decent on all but GS gave me some questions never in my life i woulde guss them even with studying got nothing to do with animals or earth or oceans all organs bacterias & cells

It is just a more condensed version of the pi-cat! It just goes over some more questions to prove you didn’t cheat on the test.
HEY this i one question i really need answered have the book its really think and intimidating what are the main sections you studied because i know you dont need to study the whole book
What areas you need to study mainly depends on what job you are looking for, as well as what branch you are joining. The math and English are important for any job!

How many questions are on the asvab?
I can’t remember off the top of my head but if you look it up, you can see how many questions are in each section!
There are 10 areas and each area has 10-15, maybe 20, questions.
The question is what if you score low on the practice test lol why would there be a need for a verification test then
My recruiter gave me the choice if I wanted to verify my scores, if I didn’t like my score I could have retaken the test at some point!

I took the PiCat on Saturday and scored an 85! Scored a 69 on the asvab practice test 😎 I studied for about a month and a half. I just have to lose 7% of my body fat to be able to go to MEPs and basic training. Then to the Air Force for me! Future Chaplain here 🫡🪽
