Anybody else remember the dragon that appears in the east blue anime? Just a random real dragon.
You know, one of the things that this whole Joy Boy story makes me think about is the Wano Arc and the artificial devil fruits. We've been told that it was to recreate Kaido's devil fruit, but what if that wasn't their sole purpose? After all, they'd succeeded with that when they created the fruit Momonosuke ate. My theory is that they were actually trying to create Nika's fruit that'd been evading them for so long. It fits the purpose of creating Zoan devil fruits, but also the side effects from the malfunctioned ones which is force people to smile regardless of their emotions (just like Luffy does whenever he transforms). It managed to create the smiling aspect of the fruit, but don't give any of the powers -hence why they are considered failures.

@@peepo3005 That's possible, given that most of the smiles that made the Gifters in the Beast Pirates couldn't properly control their animal parts (it seemed more like they were working with the animal parts, rather than actually controlling them). I could see Oda playing into the failures of the production of Nika's fruit being attributed to the Devil Fruit's will (fruits having a will has been hinted at in the past where the Gorosei said the Nika fruit had been "evading" them for many years, which isn't something you would typically say about an inanimate fruit).

I've always had the feeling the Nika fruit was part of the treasure at laugh tale and Roger sent it out into the world to start the coming of the dawn. One he knew he wouldn't live to see, but found joy in knowing he could start the tale again with a laugh.
Cool idea, but the Gorosei mention that others have had the Nika fruit through time but none have awakened it until Luffy.

@@rouhsifbenschop7074 yes, shortly before Roger's death he left everything he found in one place at the end of the Grand Line, creating the One Piece. It's literally in every One Piece opening.

I’d like to add a little bit to this theory. If it’s true that Imu decided upon a contingency plan after deciding to rule from the shadows, I think that it would only make sense to have used Pudding’s devil fruit to cut out all memories of Imu from the 20 kings, or potentially even from everybody in the world, if the fruit was awakened and was able to do so.
Hate to disprove ur theory but saturn was studying devil fruits and had many unsuccessful experiments, if imu created the devil fruits they obviously would know everything about them
Creating the devil fruits doesn’t mean they also know how to give others the fruits w out having them eat the actual fruit, Saturn was researching how to extract the essence of a devil fruit so that they could possibly give multiple ppl the same fruit power. Imu possibly did create the devil fruits, but it wouldn’t necessarily mean that saturn wouldn’t be able to research more abt their creation, hope this helps🙏🏾

@@bkbangura5534I'd imagine if imu created fruits, the gorosei wouldn't need to research them when the source of said knowledge is literally imu. that's like failing an open book text.
I think that once you eat a devil fruit, your heart becomes the fruit (since Luffy has mentioned that his heart felt weird after he awakened his devil fruit). Imagine that IMU used the personality switch on Lily, killed her and then ate his own heart to obtain this powers back. That would be a true evil villain.
Hearts have a lot of meaning in the story too. Corazon means heart, laws fruit is shaped like a heart, the heart pirates, law offered 1000 hearts on rocky port etc.
That could explain how Blackbeard stole White beard's powers. Nice one.

After learning that ballads were used during the pirate era to unify the masses of common men, i feel that binks sake is a song to help spread the message of the One Piece which im beginning to believe is a different ballad itself
I was always confused on where blackbeard fit in all this cause thematically he seems like Luffy's exact mirror counterpart, but Imu feels like the final boss. Maybe BB is the Imu from 800 years ago reincarnated cause he also has ambotions to create a nation of his own, but that feels deceptively simple, so maybe hes plotting something like Nerona did 800 yrs ago. As a side note, i find the clout that BB and Shanks accrued hilarious considering their combined appearances in the story is probably less than fkin Moria 😂
Maybe Teach learned something about Nerona Imu from 800 years ago (he is a historian in his free time after all), and he’s actually following the will of Imu. Maybe something Imu stood for really resonated with young Teach
I love this theory and the idea of the comic book being the treasure that changes the world and brings laughter, maybe that is Oda's dream for what he hopes to achieve with his Manga. Maybe he hopes he brings laughter to people and inspires them to become like Joyboy in the real world, just like in your theory the comic would have inspired the people in the real world in One Piece. I'd love that so much! I can just say for my part One Piece has made me laugh so many times and for me it is so much more than a story. It has impacted me and my life in so many ways. And by the way, listening to the end of your video has made me cry 🤣🤣🤣 out of joy though ❤

Could Mother Flame be the dragon, that moves/powers Uranus? Ryuma killed the original dragon, before Imu could use Uranus on Wano, and Gorosei made Vegapunk produce new dragon (Mother Flame), so now Imu can use Uranus again
Yeah it's likely that Imu does not have all "components" of Uranus which is why they required vegapunk to create mother Flame. Making Imu an imposter uranus in a way. I think Luffy and crew will stumble upon the true uranus like they did with poseidon and pluton. maybe Luffy himself is the true Uranus.
I think its not just the party, but rather specific... a One Piece of a song, thats why a musician was very important to him! Also, we heard few of the lyrics on skypiea, its not complete yet. Lastly, becoming the Pirate king will be required so he can sing it to the rest of the world and no one can stop him... Its like Queen Live aid the biggest live concert ever!

An amazing theory. I like your idea for Luffy’s dream. It definitely does fit his personality. My only issue is with the One piece being a comic is I’m not sure how well that translates for anime only viewers. I appreciate all the work you put onto this is was definitely worth the watch.

I can definitely say that One Piece has brought so much joy to my life, as well as my husband, my daughter, and my son. I used to watch the anime with my kids and only recently picked up the manga.

I do agree that Imu will basically be a cartoonized devil like the Cuphead devil or the Hell's Bells devil.
We have everything we need for a party, the musician, the chef, the tech guy, security guys, story tellers, dancers and all that stuff the only thing missing is a venue. The greatest most epic party has to happen in the most epic place, the grand stage!

If the ancient weapons weren't meant to be offensive, could this be changed depending on the power source? If Uranus is used to destroy the grand line or red line using the motherflame, I doubt they'll have a true one piece with another huge permanent hole in the sea.
Yeah the theory asserts that Uranus is the weapon used by the Government on Lulusia, but really that's conjecture. I think Uranus will be something that plays a hero role in the story. Maybe Uranus will be used to stop the Mother Flame weapon at some point. That's also conjecture, we don't know anything for sure there.
But, OK, what if it is? Could that weapon be used in some way by the Ancient Kingdom to connect the world? I dunno, what happens if it hits Reverse Mountain? Would that help destroy the currents that are creating the Grand Line and Calm Belt, in a way that just blowing the mountain up wouldn't? I dunno. Maybe. Conjecture.

I have like 1/4th of this watched through. But i have a theory. You know how a lufy son goku and chopper have different variations of human human fruit. Well, what if imu or umi or whoever has the actual darkness, darkness fruit, and her old body had teaches fruit so lilly does the personalety swap, right? Would her devil fruit transfer to imus new body? Because if the will of D is as strong as nikka, could the surgery evan be done on lufy? I dont think it would work. The fruit picked him because he is joy boy, right? So what if that's how joy boy lost in the void century?!?!?

Maybe that is an anime only thing, but I vividly remember is the episode where the crew was about to enter dressrosa, Momo heard a voice in his head saying "come to me" or something. Ive never heard someone mention it, and I dont remember it being bought up in the story ever again, but it would kind of make sense of that to have been Imu, if he really has control over dragons

Yeah, there are a lot of ideas about specific characters here that I don't agree with. There are also things I take for granted, that might seem crackpot to a normal reader. There are a few genius ideas that may or may not be a part of the story at some point. I don't expect the One Piece to be a manga, but it's a very compelling idea. Didn't Kaido say that Luffy looked like something out of a manga, right after he transformed for the first time? Actually now that I think about it... the One Piece might actually be a manga.

What if Lily was the "avatar" of Ancient Weapon Uranus, but the creature inself is not a Dragon but a Ziz. A creature fron Jewis Mythology. Zunisha = Behemoth, Sea Kings = Leviathan, and "Uranus" = Ziz

Nika must be real if Blackbeard's devil fruit is based on Imu, because Imu is real.
Roger probably found out that the special devil fruit was Gum Gum fruit that is why he laughed. Imagine obtaining everything, to be the most free ... and then see a story about the user of Gum Gum fruit and realize just how far away from being free you actually are ....
Perhaps he told the story to Shanks and that is why Shanks considered that fruit very special.
Other reason for him thinking he was too early could ve that Bink's sake was yet to mature, before it could be used for the greatest world party.
So in the story Nika is real because luffy ate the nika fruit I see what you mean tho it would mean there would have too be a luffy fruit which there doesn’t because the reason imu would have a fruit of herself/ THE devil fruit is because her story would’ve been passed down and by the present one piece time, her story aka the void century has become “myth” or dreamt up/imagined creating imus fruit (yami yami)

I noticed that in the third chapter you point out how Joyboy is a fictional character, since mythical zoans are created after myths about fictional beings, which is correct for all the canon mythical zoans except Kaidou's, if the dragon it's modelled after was the same dragon said to be controlled by Imu, attacking Wano.

I'd even double down that the story is in the year 1524, and it said that egghead is 500 years in the future, which is 2024, the current year in the real world! so the joyboy/nika manga/anima could have been an inworld version of the OP manga/anime in the real world. they had the tech for it.
