It's shocking to me how little credit people give Hikaru. Magnus and Hikaru both play garbage openings to get fresh positions. They are both absolutely doing their best to win a game of chess. But they save their more serious preparation for bigger events. This is just for fun. No need for serious openings in blitz.
He's a GM, confidence or not the consistency of his technique speaks for itself and he's being realistic because he faces a GM who's stronger than him. It's incredible to cry for a single sentence lol
He acts like he doesn’t care so if he loses he has some bs excuse. It’s an ego thing on my opinion. In reality he’s probably trying for real but wants to make excuses since magnus is better
@@alexorozco303hardly, he admits that Magnus is better. They enjoy playing each other bc they have good games when basically no one else in the world challenges Hikaru like Magnus. Doubtful that this is an ego thing
Hikaru acts like he does not care to mask his insecurities and help his own mental state of mind to not worry too much when he loses a game. He may have done the "mouse slip" intentionally because he is scared of MAGNUS and therefore creating an excuse to justify a loss. Anyone who keeps repeating I DONT CARE actually cares because he has to keep convincing himself that he does not care and create the illusion for the gullible that he does not care win or lose. Dont be fooled! IT seems he actually CARES A LOT about losing a game than the other players. LOL
I am starting to like Hikaru after i was stunned how quickly he reacted to a lost position looking at Magnus board after just 2 second of looking. Like someone testing if water is lukewarm. It's incredible how fast they can read a board.
Usually mouse slips at this level happens in endgame in time scramble. I think he threw the game. First he says "I might get smoked here" "I'm not taking this so seriously, I just don't care" and then after the mouse slip "so sad" "could have been very exciting". He's acting like he already lost against Magnus before the game started.
@@GEM4sta What do you mean? If you check Hikaru's archive and type in "MagnusCarlsen" as the opponent, the second game that is shown, which was played on November 21st 2023, is precisely the one presented in this video.

Thx😊
Thanks
Yeah pretty suspicious mouse slip. Hikaru completely forgot how the pawns kill
the amount of time he spends assuring "he doesnt care" indicates he really cares..
Yeah literally 😂
For real lol
you need to be incredibly insecure to say you dont care just to be able to compete
"Wins all these online events, yet doesn't know how pawns capture? Interesting." - Magnus tweet about Hikaru's mouseslip at 26:30
Can you give link of magnus stream?!
@@insanestuff9470 Magnus tweeted about it. I can not find the link.
The Magnus effect. It's very rare to see Hikaru mouseslip.
nothing like that, that was just a pure mouse-slip, has nothing to do with magnus! hahaha
@@exbricadlo that's what they all say
@@chessloverontwitch bro magnus mouseslipped against hikaru at a tournament, its normal

He slipped on purpose. So he could have an excuse for losing.
he has no self-confidence facing magnus , before the match starts he talks like he give up already , boring

magnus is him

playing 1..a5 first move against Duda is so brave.

H4 is a boring copout. And then a "mouse slip". Ugh. Take the match seriously. Giving up sucks. I watched this video for 3 minutes and left.

Fake mouse slip to avoid embarrassment
Title was a letdown
As soon as possible it is very ridiculous to trade!
Obviously from the beginning, Hikaru was predicting loss. I think he hung the bishop on purpose to use it as an excuse.
making excuses as always, thats why magnus will always be better. and always has

Yeah like Hikaru did when Magnus mouse slip on scc, oh wait he didn’t.
This is not lichess there are no takebacks also hikaru fans should not be talking about sportsmanship lmao

Hikaru mouse-slips against Magnus early on. Must be "the Magnus effect."
It's just the power of magnus
Magnus don't know what's fair play! He could of just castle or something 🤬

magnus is lame af for taking the bishop
