I’m not an expert myself so I could be wrong. As I’m still a beginner If by ‘bigger’, you meant a ‘bigger base’. Then repeat the ‘ch 1, sc in each stitch, only 3 sc in the corners’ where the corner would the 2nd sc marked with the marker in each round. Then the base would become bigger and then you can crochet the sides . I’m not familiar with double and treble crochet, so I cant comment on that. That could be the way as well

i would suggest putting total of sticthes in each round of the tutorial to keep track however this is a nice video
