@07:15 Vegeta himself mentions that he can separate ppl such as the nameless namekian, but I'm sure that won't or shouldn't be possible that easily. I call bs on Vegeta's claim, wouldn't be the first time either. Sure, you could probably extract Nail from the mix, probably, but Kami and Piccolo are one and the same being. They are two sides of the very same coin and are meant to be together. They are literally one person, always have been. The separation in itself was the anomaly, not the reuniting fusion. On top of that, namekian fusion is different than the other types of fusion and are meant to be a permanent yet voluntary deal by allowing the absorbed entity to fade away and become one with the host's body and spirit over time, so even taking out Nail could prove to be difficult or outright impossible by normal means. Let's not forget that the nameless namekian himself has shown to have a number of magical abilities too, putting himself above lower class magicians such as Babidi. Just like Piccolo was able to counter the Mafuba, surely he had something up his sleeve for things trying to rip his soul apart into two again. Buu's Kai absorption fusion technique is different though, so I assume Vegeta might be able to do something here - maybe.
I think it would be a good idea for Buu to remove all the Kais inside him so Shin can learn how to be a great Supreme Kai because he’s still a supreme Kai in training, heck! He didn’t even know about Zeno, the Kai’s that Buu absorbed probably already knew about Zeno
But without the grand supreme kai's closed eyes. Would basically look identical to Super Buu, but maybe with a lighter colored eyes to reflect his innocence

Since kid buu is the purest form of buu, logically fat buu should still have buu within him and the others absorbed. So as long as any type of buu exists , it must have buu(kid buu) in it since kid buu is actually the buu part of buu.
I was thinking about this theory as well and to me it would be plausible that the separation might create another Kid Buu (only nice) that has own separate consciousness. The two Kais would be separated, leaving behind the completely separate entity that was fully aware of its own existence. That would be a cool outcome for a next story/chapter.
I think he's basically the two Kais with a Buu costume so to speak. Not saying he's not Buu, he's clearly Buu with Buu's powers and everything, but I think if the two Kais were separated from him, Good Buu would stop existing in his current form like maybe what's left of him, being that he's already separated from the Core Original Buu (who's not been reincarnated as Uub), would likely just be like a mass of pink gum like stuff with no consciousness, like just a mass of organic gum, just neutral and probably scooped into a jar for safety.
I know that Buu is a prodigy of learning techniques, but does he lose the memories of techniques when anyone is removed from his body? In this if he is to become kid Buu all of his experience and techniques get removed from him completely. Which leaves him as an instinctual fighter out of spite. Super never explained how universe 7 is the only universe to have multiple supreme Kais and a grand supreme Kai, nor does it explain how Beerus somehow didnt die when kid Buu absorbed grand supreme Kai (assuming he was the true supreme Kai at that time). The only thing that could possibly explain it is if the "quadrant" supreme Kais were actually in training like Zamasu was and that grand supreme Kai was just the supreme Kai and Shin misremembered it. It does kinda make sense since Shin didnt know about potara etc so he wasnt fully "trained".
The way i see it Fat Buu and the absorbed Kai's souls have become one, but in case they were to be split then Fat Buu would still be the same personality wise, except he'll be a lot weaker since he would have lost the power the Kais supplied. Essentially the Kais in him affected his personality leading to the creation of Fat Buu, but since they have been together so long Fat Buu has become it's own being, which was expelled by Kid Buu and thus Fat Buu is his own being even if all other absorbed influences were removed.
Have you done a video on how strong Majuub is after he fused with Majinn Buu? Was he Super Buu strong or closer to Buuhan since he had 10 years worth of training?
He can't he's the amalgam of all of the Kai's that's why Kid Buu was released in the first place but he would most likely cease to exist.It is interesting to think about would he even have a body?

Akira has established that biological uniqueness have an effect on how ki feels to others. Both manga and anime made it clear that Piccolo suffered little change in demeanor after assimilating Nail. However, when he did so with Kami, it was a total change, making it clear that their merging was a 50-50 split, while Nail was merely a booster shot for Piccolo.
I think Buu as he is by the end of Z/in Super is a result of a being pulling itself apart and putting itself back together again multiple times, all the while mixing in different things (read: people) in between, meaning the end result is different than what we had originally, even if all the original pieces are there. I think there's one of two possible answers to what would happen if you removed the two Kais from Fat Buu: 1) Fat Buu ceases to be, but his consciousness might exist in some form in the two Kais. 2) Buu would remain but would become something more akin to a docile version of Kid Buu. This new Buu would, I have to imagine, be weaker than most other versions of Buu we encountered, since we know Kid Buu and his power became a separate entity and was reincarnated into Uub. That begs the question of where does Fat Buu's power come from then, and if it's exclusively tied to the Kais. But that would involve bringing in things like thermodynamics and conservation of mass, and Dragon Ball has never been that concerned with the physics of it all, so I think we just have to conclude that something might be lost in translation through more fission.
I think it's a "swamp thing" scenario. In Alan Moore's take on Swampy in the 80s it was revealed that Swamp Thing wasn't actually Alec Holland, but a collection of plant matter with his memories. Mr Buu is just a goo that has memories and experiences baked into him. He can shape shift and remember how to act a certain way.
Maybe if you separated Grand Supreme Kai and South Supreme Kai from Fat Buu you would end up with both of the Kai’s with Buu like characteristics. They might be pink and have some of Fat Buu’s powers but not as powerful.
Buu always came across as a "District 9" situation. I'd say, you can't separate Good Buu from Grand Supreme Kai because they are one and the same. Grand Supreme Kai's DNA was completely corrupted. Hearing about what happened in the manga solidified this THEORY of mine.
Imagine if Shin took Goku to train when he sacrificed himself to kill his brother. Shin needed a warrior to defeat Majin Buu, so training one makes the most sense. It's better than Shin not planning anything at all and just showing up, hoping somebody's powerful enough to defeat buu.
Dragon Ball Online shown that every piece of Boo (all the Majins in the world) pretty much can become Kid Boo. The show also shown the multiple ones in general as you said of Kid, Super, Evil, Fat, etc. I say there can be more than one Kid Boo so if you remove them from Fat Boo, he would become a new Kid Boo
If they could remove the kais from fat buu then I reckon he would just turn into kid buu but it would be a version that is just devoid of everything as the evil was destroyed many years ago at this point and everything else about him comes from the kais
Dragon ball could make so much money from going deeper into the side stories like that. They wouldn't even have to go further into the main story line.

I'm kinda late but if they are fully fused and where forced to separate would it also be possible that the split could form two Buu's the Fat Buu that we know takes after the Grand Supreme Kai and a Super Buu that takes after the South Supreme Kai
In the Moro arc I was hoping they’d come up with some way for the Kais to be separated while allowing Fat Buu to stay as he is. Always found it weird that the Z fighters and especially Shin just continue to let Grand Supreme Kai and South Supreme Kai stay trapped inside Fat Buu without trying to find some sort of solution. Realistically speaking though if this were to happen my guess is Buu would be kind of an empty shell of himself. His original self got destroyed and reincarnated so there’s no trace of that left. Without the Kai’s inside of him he would essentially have no personality. He’d probably just be like a mellowed out kid Buu that doesn’t really do much. Essentially a living husk. He’d also of course be far weaker. Really hope we get an official answer to this scenario one day.
Fat buu without the Kai’s inside him is probably a kid buu symbiote. A piece of Majin buu that merges its identity with the host, but is probably not evil since its been on grand supreme Kai so long.
Toriyama doesn't even remember that the Kaioshin are in Buu in the first place, hence why Beerus makes no reference to Buu almost killing him in Super. The fans care more than Toriyama, so if Vegeta did use Spirit Fission on Buu, nothing would happen because Toriyama wouldn't remember to split them in the first place.
What if Buu's power works like a muscle? Like even with losing those he's absorbed there's some residue of power left from them? Would explain how kid Buu could be as powerful as he was and how far Buu could become a separate entity a bit. Maybe
If you go by the logic that when buu was regressing to his original form he went through that buff kai then surely that kai would of stayed in the evil buu while the fat kai stayed in fat buu so possibly could only seperate the fat kai from fat buu...
i think it save to say he would just become another version of kid buu. the orginal kid buu absorb the kai's and took on there attributes, he asborbed south kai and became the bulky steriod thing then he absorb the fat kai and became fat buu, so removing them would just bring him back to square one which is kid buu. however fat buu release his evil side during the buu saga, so its should a differrent variation of kid buu with a good personality
1.Fat majin buu wears the clothes of dai kaio. 2. Evil/good buu each wear the clothes of dai kaioshin 3. Good buu has the memories/consciousness of dai kaioshin. Yet, kid buu has the god ki of dai kaio and south kaioshin. Verdict: Taking out the kais from good buu, would result in a good version of kid buu. This version would need to remerge with bad kid buu/uub to be "whole".
He’d just turn back into Kid Buu. The reason Fat was weaker/different than Kid was because Fat Buu was actually made weaker/gentler by the kais than stronger. That’s why I say there’s literally nothing stopping Mr. Buu from repeating the whole Buu arc again except stronger this time. The Current Mr. Buu is an offshoot of Kid buu, yes, but he's that offshoot PLUS 2 kais. Take those kais out and we can only assume he'd resemble Kid buu.
@@schemar17 Not necessarily true...? What made him his own being was when he split into Evil Buu (who still had kais in him as you can see by the clothes he wears.) We can see in super via the Grand Supreme Kai they weren't fully digested as he can take over buu as a dominant personality soooo... take him out and what do you get? I argue something like Kid Buu. It might not be the SAME as Kid Buu (for example, he might not be crazy) but all we know about Fat Buu is built off Kid Buu absorbing people so its logical to assume that if u take all that away, he'd end up the same way as Kid Buu did.
My favorite Buu was Buff Buu, who we don't see much of. I'd love to see what Buff Buu was like in terms of his mind and his fighting capabilities, and it would be great for the audience to meet the Grand Supreme Kai to gain a perspective on why Fat Buu was the way he was.
I guess removing South Kai would be ok but Dai Kaioshin is basically what spawned Fat Buu, if you remove him Buu will become something else, maybe he would turn into another version of Kid Buu since it's his original form but a meaker one, I dunno if this Kid Buu would be benign or not but maybe it would since the one that reincarnated on Uub was the evil half.
Probably just leave behind some kind of Buu slime without any kind of identity at all. Might work a bit like that pink slime in Ghost Busters where it mirrors the things around it, but lacking even the comprehension level Fat Buu has. Or it could just attach to somebody like Venom and take over to turn whoever it happens to touch into a new Buu form? Still I think there would be SOMETHING left if you separated the Kaios from Buu.
I suppose there might be a little bit of the original Majin Buu's essence in "fat" Buu, but the Dai Kaioh Shin and the Southern Kaioh Shin have a huge influence in him. If they were to be separated, I think Buu would be back to his original form of "Kid" Buu but maybe not evil due to his memory and the influence front the kais for thousands of years. Even if he was evil, his power would be no threat for the main characters. Goku, Vegeta, Broly, Piccolo or Gohan would completely overpower him without really trying. Goku, Vegeta and Gohan could probably beat him in SS1 or SS2 form, no God transformation, Ultra Ego, Ultra Instinct or Beast power needed. Piccolo in Ultimate would be more than enough without going Orange. Broly's wrath form might anihilate Buu completely. Goten and Trunks individually would kinda struggle but Kid Buu would be no match at all for an adult Gotenks. Androids 17, 18 and Gamma should also be more than enough.
Imo he would just be kid Buu, again. The influence of the kais makes good buu good. So if they are removed I think he would become an exact copy of kid Buu from the buu arc. Which would technically mean both kid buus were only at 50%
Glad you did a follow up on this. On a similar tangent, were there originally 3 more gods of destruction to parallel the other supreme kais? Or did shin just assume all responsibility and links as the pecking order was diminished? And if that is the case then couldn't old Kai just assume his role if something ever happened to shin. But since zamasu would have just filled that roll in his universe when he killed gawasu (that isn't spelled correctly...) Then that God of destruction would still be alive, so that is a bust... Did Beerus just get super lucky that for some reason the weakest supreme Kai survived buu's attacks and that happened to be the one he was linked to... #plotconvenience
There is only one GoD, as we see in all the other universes. Beerus was most likely connected to the Grand Supreme Kai before he was absorbed, and then after was linked to Supreme Kai after Supreme Kai took the jobs of all the Supreme Kais. If there were four, Beerus would have mentioned them at some point, and the other universes would have four GoDs. The only real "plot convenience" is that they never really talk about Grand Supreme Kais in the multiverse, and make it seem like there is only one Supreme Kai per universe despite the fact that it was established there were four and a Grand Supreme Kai. I think the reason Beerus didn't die, was because Grand Supreme Kai didn't die, but rather was alive inside of Buu. And then after Shin became Supreme Kai, it didn't matter anymore if Grand Supreme kai was still alive inside Buu or not. I think as long as the Supreme Kai doesn't die, then the connection can be transferred to another Supreme Kai if someone else is officially given the role. But we don't know that for sure, so that's just my theory.

It is kind of a bummer that DBS just decided now that U7 only has 1 supreme Kai, every universe only has 1. I was kind joking about there being 3 extra destroyers, and it's kind of made up as it's written, but it would be a cool way to add some extra characters that could be explained rather than just "this strong guy showed up out of nowhere"
It would be cool to see buu not change because of the length of time of them staying in buu they had a big change on him like they corrupted the original buu so much that kid buu would never return ever with that version of majin buu
Perhaps kid Buu wasn't as powerful as he could've been because the rest of his power lay within fat Buu which the kais held onto. And if they separated somehow, it would either be rejected or just the rest of buu's power would cease to exist
Only one we can definitely say weakened Kid Buu is the Fat Kai. He weakened him so much that until absorbing Gotenks, he’s still weaker than Kid Buu. That’s where the fandom is split lol The only thing weakening Super Buu was Fat Buu. Everything else made them stronger. Fat Buu

I don't think fat Buu is definitively just Fat Buu because if he was he'd have more agency to regroup with the other Kai and resume his duties. But maybe we should think about the Morro arc and what happens with the Dai Kaiyo there

Buu duplicated, which is why Super Buu was stronger than Kid Buu; he was Buu with Buu and the Kais absorbed. Evil Buu is like a manifestation of Kid Buu, but expressed in a different way (tall and gaunt rather than short and buff). If Fat Buu were to have the Grand Supreme Kai removed, he would become Buff Buu again. If both the Kais were removed, he would become Kid Buu. If only the Southern Supreme Kai were removed, he would probably still be obese, child-like, and playful, but would lose even more discipline, physical strength, and self-control, since those qualities are likely what the Southern Supreme Kai would give to Buu, albeit the Grand Supreme Kai would still temper much of Buu's psyche. Fat Buu did not undergo a fission process. He is still capable of spawning another Evil Buu, who could absorb him and become Super Buu.
Why does Majin Buu become stronger or weaker when he absorbs someone? I would think it should depend on the strength of the one being absorbed and then averaged out. If he absorbed someone stronger, he becomes stronger. If he absorbs someone weaker, he becomes weaker. This should also apply in reverse, when people are removed from Majin Buu. However, this doesn't appear to be consistent. I would think that if Majin Buu was able to absorb someone, he would have to already be stronger than them, in order to incapacitate them enough to do so. For example, when Kid Buu absorbed the Kais, he became weaker, because they were weaker than him. When they were removed, he became stronger, reverting to Kid Buu. However, when Super Buu absorbed Gotenks and Mystic Gohan, he became stronger, when I would think he should have became weaker. Otherwise, they would have been more than a match for Kid Buu. It seems arbitrary whether Majin Buu should become stronger or not, depending on what's more dramatic, at the time.
Would Vegeta even be able to separate Piccolo from Kami given they were originally a single being. I can see it working with Nail but not Piccolo and Kami.
Since a lot of time passed, I think Fat Buu will retain his physical form and personality. Powerwise, I don't know. Dragonball don't really follow logics to begin with lol.
tbh, i always thought it was a plot hole that we got the original kid buu back after the Z fighters were removed. it should have gone back to Super Buu. if we follow the shows logic, removing the Kais should get us back to the original Kid Buu that absorbed them in the 1st place
Do you think that the writers thought it would be better for the story for him to transform into kid Buu rather than skinny Buu? You would think he would have become skinny Buu but maybe kid Buu was more aesthetically pleasing than to reintroduce malnourished lookin' skinny Buu as the final boss.

I think majin buu will be transforming into something similar to his appearance before the tournament of power when he lost weight

I think Buu as he is by the end of Z/in Super is a result of a being pulling itself apart and putting itself back together again multiple times, all the while mixing in different things (read: people) in between, meaning the end result is different than what we had originally, even if all the original pieces are there. I think there's one of two possible answers to what would happen if you removed the two Kais from Fat Buu:
1) Fat Buu ceases to be, but his consciousness might exist in some form in the two Kais.
2) Buu would remain but would become something more akin to a docile version of Kid Buu. This new Buu would, I have to imagine, be weaker than most other versions of Buu we encountered, since we know Kid Buu and his power became a separate entity and was reincarnated into Uub. That begs the question of where does Fat Buu's power come from then, and if it's exclusively tied to the Kais. But that would involve bringing in things like thermodynamics and conservation of mass, and Dragon Ball has never been that concerned with the physics of it all, so I think we just have to conclude that something might be lost in translation through more fission.
I think it's a "swamp thing" scenario. In Alan Moore's take on Swampy in the 80s it was revealed that Swamp Thing wasn't actually Alec Holland, but a collection of plant matter with his memories. Mr Buu is just a goo that has memories and experiences baked into him. He can shape shift and remember how to act a certain way.

Maybe if you separated Grand Supreme Kai and South Supreme Kai from Fat Buu you would end up with both of the Kai’s with Buu like characteristics. They might be pink and have some of Fat Buu’s powers but not as powerful.

I'd say, you can't separate Good Buu from Grand Supreme Kai because they are one and the same. Grand Supreme Kai's DNA was completely corrupted. Hearing about what happened in the manga solidified this THEORY of mine.

Imagine if Shin took Goku to train when he sacrificed himself to kill his brother. Shin needed a warrior to defeat Majin Buu, so training one makes the most sense. It's better than Shin not planning anything at all and just showing up, hoping somebody's powerful enough to defeat buu.
Dragon Ball Online shown that every piece of Boo (all the Majins in the world) pretty much can become Kid Boo.
The show also shown the multiple ones in general as you said of Kid, Super, Evil, Fat, etc.
I say there can be more than one Kid Boo so if you remove them from Fat Boo, he would become a new Kid Boo
If they could remove the kais from fat buu then I reckon he would just turn into kid buu but it would be a version that is just devoid of everything as the evil was destroyed many years ago at this point and everything else about him comes from the kais
Dragon ball could make so much money from going deeper into the side stories like that. They wouldn't even have to go further into the main story line.
they explained what would happen in a roundabout way. without being long winded about it basically if any Kais are removed he gets stronger. His original form is his perfect form..he's the opposite of Cell.

I'm kinda late but if they are fully fused and where forced to separate would it also be possible that the split could form two Buu's the Fat Buu that we know takes after the Grand Supreme Kai and a Super Buu that takes after the South Supreme Kai
In the Moro arc I was hoping they’d come up with some way for the Kais to be separated while allowing Fat Buu to stay as he is. Always found it weird that the Z fighters and especially Shin just continue to let Grand Supreme Kai and South Supreme Kai stay trapped inside Fat Buu without trying to find some sort of solution. Realistically speaking though if this were to happen my guess is Buu would be kind of an empty shell of himself. His original self got destroyed and reincarnated so there’s no trace of that left. Without the Kai’s inside of him he would essentially have no personality. He’d probably just be like a mellowed out kid Buu that doesn’t really do much. Essentially a living husk. He’d also of course be far weaker. Really hope we get an official answer to this scenario one day.

A piece of Majin buu that merges its identity with the host, but is probably not evil since its been on grand supreme Kai so long.
Toriyama doesn't even remember that the Kaioshin are in Buu in the first place, hence why Beerus makes no reference to Buu almost killing him in Super. The fans care more than Toriyama, so if Vegeta did use Spirit Fission on Buu, nothing would happen because Toriyama wouldn't remember to split them in the first place.
What if Buu's power works like a muscle? Like even with losing those he's absorbed there's some residue of power left from them? Would explain how kid Buu could be as powerful as he was and how far Buu could become a separate entity a bit. Maybe
If you go by the logic that when buu was regressing to his original form he went through that buff kai then surely that kai would of stayed in the evil buu while the fat kai stayed in fat buu so possibly could only seperate the fat kai from fat buu...

i think it save to say he would just become another version of kid buu. the orginal kid buu absorb the kai's and took on there attributes, he asborbed south kai and became the bulky steriod thing then he absorb the fat kai and became fat buu, so removing them would just bring him back to square one which is kid buu. however fat buu release his evil side during the buu saga, so its should a differrent variation of kid buu with a good personality

1.Fat majin buu wears the clothes of dai kaio.
2. Evil/good buu each wear the clothes of dai kaioshin
3. Good buu has the memories/consciousness of dai kaioshin. Yet, kid buu has the god ki of dai kaio and south kaioshin.
Verdict: Taking out the kais from good buu, would result in a good version of kid buu. This version would need to remerge with bad kid buu/uub to be "whole".
You get the original Kid Buu, obviously.

He’d just turn back into Kid Buu. The reason Fat was weaker/different than Kid was because Fat Buu was actually made weaker/gentler by the kais than stronger. That’s why I say there’s literally nothing stopping Mr. Buu from repeating the whole Buu arc again except stronger this time. The Current Mr. Buu is an offshoot of Kid buu, yes, but he's that offshoot PLUS 2 kais. Take those kais out and we can only assume he'd resemble Kid buu.

@@schemar17 Not necessarily true...? What made him his own being was when he split into Evil Buu (who still had kais in him as you can see by the clothes he wears.) We can see in super via the Grand Supreme Kai they weren't fully digested as he can take over buu as a dominant personality soooo... take him out and what do you get? I argue something like Kid Buu. It might not be the SAME as Kid Buu (for example, he might not be crazy) but all we know about Fat Buu is built off Kid Buu absorbing people so its logical to assume that if u take all that away, he'd end up the same way as Kid Buu did.
My favorite Buu was Buff Buu, who we don't see much of. I'd love to see what Buff Buu was like in terms of his mind and his fighting capabilities, and it would be great for the audience to meet the Grand Supreme Kai to gain a perspective on why Fat Buu was the way he was.

I guess removing South Kai would be ok but Dai Kaioshin is basically what spawned Fat Buu, if you remove him Buu will become something else, maybe he would turn into another version of Kid Buu since it's his original form but a meaker one, I dunno if this Kid Buu would be benign or not but maybe it would since the one that reincarnated on Uub was the evil half.
Probably just leave behind some kind of Buu slime without any kind of identity at all. Might work a bit like that pink slime in Ghost Busters where it mirrors the things around it, but lacking even the comprehension level Fat Buu has. Or it could just attach to somebody like Venom and take over to turn whoever it happens to touch into a new Buu form? Still I think there would be SOMETHING left if you separated the Kaios from Buu.
I suppose there might be a little bit of the original Majin Buu's essence in "fat" Buu, but the Dai Kaioh Shin and the Southern Kaioh Shin have a huge influence in him. If they were to be separated, I think Buu would be back to his original form of "Kid" Buu but maybe not evil due to his memory and the influence front the kais for thousands of years. Even if he was evil, his power would be no threat for the main characters. Goku, Vegeta, Broly, Piccolo or Gohan would completely overpower him without really trying. Goku, Vegeta and Gohan could probably beat him in SS1 or SS2 form, no God transformation, Ultra Ego, Ultra Instinct or Beast power needed. Piccolo in Ultimate would be more than enough without going Orange. Broly's wrath form might anihilate Buu completely. Goten and Trunks individually would kinda struggle but Kid Buu would be no match at all for an adult Gotenks. Androids 17, 18 and Gamma should also be more than enough.
I think the fact that the grand supreme Kai could still come out in the manga, means that he could still be removed with forced spirit fission
Imo he would just be kid Buu, again. The influence of the kais makes good buu good. So if they are removed I think he would become an exact copy of kid Buu from the buu arc. Which would technically mean both kid buus were only at 50%

Glad you did a follow up on this. On a similar tangent, were there originally 3 more gods of destruction to parallel the other supreme kais? Or did shin just assume all responsibility and links as the pecking order was diminished? And if that is the case then couldn't old Kai just assume his role if something ever happened to shin. But since zamasu would have just filled that roll in his universe when he killed gawasu (that isn't spelled correctly...) Then that God of destruction would still be alive, so that is a bust... Did Beerus just get super lucky that for some reason the weakest supreme Kai survived buu's attacks and that happened to be the one he was linked to... #plotconvenience
There is only one GoD, as we see in all the other universes. Beerus was most likely connected to the Grand Supreme Kai before he was absorbed, and then after was linked to Supreme Kai after Supreme Kai took the jobs of all the Supreme Kais. If there were four, Beerus would have mentioned them at some point, and the other universes would have four GoDs. The only real "plot convenience" is that they never really talk about Grand Supreme Kais in the multiverse, and make it seem like there is only one Supreme Kai per universe despite the fact that it was established there were four and a Grand Supreme Kai.
I think the reason Beerus didn't die, was because Grand Supreme Kai didn't die, but rather was alive inside of Buu. And then after Shin became Supreme Kai, it didn't matter anymore if Grand Supreme kai was still alive inside Buu or not. I think as long as the Supreme Kai doesn't die, then the connection can be transferred to another Supreme Kai if someone else is officially given the role. But we don't know that for sure, so that's just my theory.
@@Hei_Darkfire that's a pretty solid work around that since he was still alive it was transferred, and would explain why zamasu didn't just become the new link for U10. It is kind of a bummer that DBS just decided now that U7 only has 1 supreme Kai, every universe only has 1. I was kind joking about there being 3 extra destroyers, and it's kind of made up as it's written, but it would be a cool way to add some extra characters that could be explained rather than just "this strong guy showed up out of nowhere"
It would be cool to see buu not change because of the length of time of them staying in buu they had a big change on him like they corrupted the original buu so much that kid buu would never return ever with that version of majin buu
Perhaps kid Buu wasn't as powerful as he could've been because the rest of his power lay within fat Buu which the kais held onto. And if they separated somehow, it would either be rejected or just the rest of buu's power would cease to exist

Buu duplicated, which is why Super Buu was stronger than Kid Buu; he was Buu with Buu and the Kais absorbed. Evil Buu is like a manifestation of Kid Buu, but expressed in a different way (tall and gaunt rather than short and buff).
If Fat Buu were to have the Grand Supreme Kai removed, he would become Buff Buu again.
If both the Kais were removed, he would become Kid Buu.
If only the Southern Supreme Kai were removed, he would probably still be obese, child-like, and playful, but would lose even more discipline, physical strength, and self-control, since those qualities are likely what the Southern Supreme Kai would give to Buu, albeit the Grand Supreme Kai would still temper much of Buu's psyche.
Fat Buu did not undergo a fission process. He is still capable of spawning another Evil Buu, who could absorb him and become Super Buu.
Why does Majin Buu become stronger or weaker when he absorbs someone? I would think it should depend on the strength of the one being absorbed and then averaged out. If he absorbed someone stronger, he becomes stronger. If he absorbs someone weaker, he becomes weaker. This should also apply in reverse, when people are removed from Majin Buu. However, this doesn't appear to be consistent. I would think that if Majin Buu was able to absorb someone, he would have to already be stronger than them, in order to incapacitate them enough to do so.
For example, when Kid Buu absorbed the Kais, he became weaker, because they were weaker than him. When they were removed, he became stronger, reverting to Kid Buu. However, when Super Buu absorbed Gotenks and Mystic Gohan, he became stronger, when I would think he should have became weaker. Otherwise, they would have been more than a match for Kid Buu. It seems arbitrary whether Majin Buu should become stronger or not, depending on what's more dramatic, at the time.
Now that I think about it... shouldn't Fat Buu have been WAY stronger if Dai Kaio could stand up to Moro...
The question is what happened to all of the Kai's and why wasn't there any more Kai's been born?
