It seems to me like this woman had unrealistic expectations from this breeder that she purchased this Pug from. First she bought the male pug. Then she wanted a female pug, but she didn't want to pay $1250 to buy a second pug from the lady, so she said "Let my pug breed with one of your females, and as a stud fee, I will take a female." The breeder ignored this, as was her right. First of all, there's NO guarantee, that even if she did breed the plaintiff's pug with her female, that it would produce a female puppy. I have bred dogs before. Sometimes there's 5 puppies in a litter, sometimes there's just one. And there's no guarantees that you will get males AND females from one litter. Secondly, there is a chance that the defendant's female pug that she uses to breed is potentially this puppy's mother....so she didn't want to breed this puppy with his mother because A) He's too young. Male Pugs reach sexual maturity at between 12 and 15 months of age. This dog was only 8 months old. and B) That would be considered in-breeding and REALLY not healthy for the puppies. Then, the puppy's testicals didn't develop properly, which made him incapable of being a breeding stud anyways. So now, this woman is mad and she wants all her money back, but apparently, the defendant DID offer her a full refund on multiple occasions and she REFUSED (which I think, the Plaintiff wanted to have her cake and eat it too. She wanted to have her money back AND keep the dog.) And the breeder laughed and said "Hell no."
Not only that but if the defendant had sold a 2nd puppy to the wannabe backyard breeder plaintiff, the dogs may be related making subsequent puppies inbred and even more prone to health issues.

That's not defective. It happens alot with dogs. 2 of mine had that and they were 2 different breeds. You don't have to get both testicles removed just the one that didn't come down.
Yes it is. It complicates the neutering process and being a genetic cause it is strongly advisable to not breed as it will pass down this genetic defect on to the offspring. It is also a cancer risk as well.
There is no such thing as a defective animal anyway 😔 But yes, balls not dropping is common. One thing that you can guarantee, is that every single puppy ever born wil have some kind of health problems eventually, and some unique thing that will be become noticeable when they grow. Living animals are like that, because they don't come built off of a conveyer belt. A high testicle isn't a defect. That lady is a freaking walking defect though.
Those peoples who buy cats or dogs from breeders are sick. They could adopt a cute dog or cat than buying from a breeder who use the pets like a cash machine. Very annoying!
Don’t be so judgmental. Not all breeders are scum. As for adoption is the only way mentality you clearly haven’t adopted or you have gotten lucky . Backyard Breeders breed for money, reputable breeders breed to better the breed (and to preserve it) and take the health tests and certifications seriously and care for their dogs. @@0800sofa in my country it’s not legal to use the same dog for breeding that many times a year, that’s a good way to destroy the female dog. I don’t know how it is in the US
Three litters are better than 6 times a year. Many owners allow more and wear out the dog sooner.
@@salzkuuu We have no regulation on how many litters one dog may have. Many puppy mills and backyard breeders breed many times a year for each dog they have. And cheat the dog and the buyers out of thousands for defective pets.
3 litters per year??? That poor dog!!
3:40 Can we take a moment and talk about how nicely dressed the audiences are?
That's not defective. It happens alot with dogs. 2 of mine had that and they were 2 different breeds. You don't have to get both testicles removed just the one that didn't come down.
Yes it is.
It complicates the neutering process and being a genetic cause it is strongly advisable to not breed as it will pass down this genetic defect on to the offspring.
It is also a cancer risk as well.
There is no such thing as a defective animal anyway 😔
But yes, balls not dropping is common.
Now I only have spayed female dogs but things like that are common.
I have a rescue and I love him more than anything but he came with a history of abuse and baggage which has caused problems in various aspects . Many rescues unfortunately come with problems which arnt their fault . I often wonder how different his life would have been if I got him as a clean slate puppy
@@missyrose2154so are children that have been abused "defective" to you. You can't blame an innocent animal for what a HUMAN did.
This is why I'd rather just adopt a sweetheart from the shelter, at least I have an idea what I'm getting into. I wanna adopt all the senior pups from shelters, one day maybe lol
And all shelters, kill and no kill has plenty of them and there is one for you right now. Go for it. I had one for 12 of her 13 years, have one now that I got at 4 1/2 years, owner surrender from Louisianna and now 7 years young. I only go to shelters.
You guys rock! Thanks for loving on the vulnerable doggies out there ❤️🐶
But you don't. You don't know genetic issues. You don't know Temperament. You don't know aggression triggers. You think you know because you spent an hour and he was sweet. They said he was healthy. You need an ekg to check for dcm. They don't do that.
Yess!!! I got my hound dog from the pound and he’s the best ! He loves everybody , pretty dumb but scratches at the door to go outside and pee!lol
That’s a lot of money but I’ve seen cases where everyday people have paid a whole lot more for puppies
My pug was $2000.
I don’t know how old this video is but when searching for a pug I didn’t find one less than $1800
I know welfare recipients that pay more
My sister dropped 3,500 on a purebred french bulldog, crazy to me but hey it ain't my money so🤷♂️
@@carltonthepug well since they didn’t have a contract this breeder doesn’t seem all that legit
@@salzkuuu Backyard breeder. Claimed to be AKC approved and did not worry if the pups could be bred after they left her house.
“I wanted to breed the dog, so that I could get a female pug”?????? Just buy a female from the same breeder or another one? This lady makes 0 sense
I think she just wanted another dog for free (a stud fee), and if they had accidental litters then whoopsie! Forgetting this female pug would be her male pug's offspring, just because dogs will mate with members of their own gene pool doesn't mean you should let them 🤦♀️
I instantly didn't like her from the beginning when she stated her dog has three litters a year.
Judge Judy even knows about Puppy law and care. Fascinating!
@Mousy JJ is a big dog lover and has owned them for years. So she really knows her stuff in that department as well as in so many other departments!
JJ is practically glued to her dog, she's often in chambers during the show. JJ mentions it during another case discussing a Pomeranian.
Awww Toby at a peanut butter cup 🥺 I love him. Dogs are just like babies. My dog eats rocks and paper, God bless their dumb little souls.
Dumb little souls 😂
As my husband was repairing the lawn mower our dog ran over and ate the nuts and bolts.
Not Even 2 minutes in, and i alredy DESPISE this *dog owner*
*ADOPT DON’T SHOP*
"The dog was defective.." Meaning "I can't make money from this dog"
Dogs are for companionship not money. Unless the dog has a genetic condition resulting in its death/suffering.....
You're not getting money back.
God this is why I hate breeders
I love judge Judy she doesn’t tolerate bullshit she’s awesome
Always try to adopt and rescue. Why would anyone breed a new puppy when they have no experience with it at all? She’s totally irresponsible.
This has me shook, big time.
A friend's dog ate a Snickers. We were lucky because she ate it whole with the wrapper and passed it whole
Aww they don't want these dogs , they only want to breed them :( so disappointing
3 litters a year!? Poor dog. People are idiots
This chick should have zero dogs. Breeding is serious business and requires extensive testing to do so responsibly. The puppy was likely not sold as breeding stock, given the lack of a contract, but as a pet. That means that suitability for breeding is not implied. Poor dog.
These people are nuts. The best dogs I ever had were all mutts I got for free.
Jesus.. why do people pay thousands of dollars for a dog when there are so many others in shelters that need homes :(
Yes, but the ones in shelters aren’t generally AKC, purebred puppies.
i guess i dont understand why that matters so much to people. Its almost like its more about aesthetics than about having a pet companion to love and for them to love you @@AdaraBalabusta
@@AdaraBalabusta25% of ALL shelter dogs are purebred. There are even breed specific rescues that focus on one breed. So don't claim that bs. Also that paper isn't worth anything aside from blowing ones nose. The AKC promotes incest so....
I wish they'd post these parts closer together. It's frustrating waiting for part 2, even part 3.
Person is probably attending to other things. Be Grateful 👀🙋🏽♀️
It takes time to upload. We don't know what kind of internet service they have.
They uploaded it n then deleted it. I found 2 episodes and by the time I finished watching first the second is gone
The 2nd episode is available to watch.
There are only two parts.
Awww I miss my Pugsley
the older ladies eyebrows are on her forehead..😂
The Attorney General ?!?!? This The Karen Of All Karens 😂🤣
I don’t want to be a dog breeder, but I want to breed the dog.
I guess she does think about the chances of breeding dogs that she might not get a female dog. 😂
She's a backyard breeder/ puppy mill.
I love how in the beginning you have no idea which way anything is going to go and then you're often surprised.
Defective Pug?
LOL ALL PUGS AND SQUISHED NOSE DOGS ARE DEFECTED! Because we humana are breeding them wrong. They aren't supposed to have squished faces!!
damn puppy mills.........hate them
Three litters a year???? So a puppy mill breeder. I had a friend who was a gordon setter breeder. She let her female have 4 litters in her entire life. She had the new owners lined up even before she bred the dog.
Both of them kinda look like pugs
Omg 3 litters a year what from one dog that not breeding thats farming...
Look at those dapper AAs in the front row! lol
Breeding is horrible! Adopt don’t shop 💕
I love the note that this one ended on
3 litters a year... poor dog. That is not healthy for the dog or the puppies to be bred that many times a year. That is cruelty to dogs 100%. Someone needs to call the spca on that breeder. I always tell people who breed their dogs to get a job... did anybody ask the dog if they want to be pregnant non stop so you can cash in. ADOPT DON'T SHOP so you don't support people like this.
I’m pretty sure she outright lied about the attorney general.
I Love Pugs! They’re crazy ❤ and wonderful! ! Don’t breed dogs if you don’t have a clue what you’re doing!
This is ridiculous. 🤦🏽♀️
Did she just say she wanted a female pug from the same dog that she got her dog from?, so they would be brother and sister?, and she wants to breed her dog, that’s disgusting
Pug puppy! Puppy that's a pug! (sung to the tune of old Transformers theme)
Omgsh the pug seller looks like a pug.
If you want to get a dog from a breeder make sure it’s from a reputable breeder. The fact this breeder didn’t have a contract is a red flag. Backyard Breeders breed for money, reputable breeders breed to better the breed (and to preserve it) and take the health tests and certifications seriously and care for their dogs. If a dog doesn’t work out in most contracts a breeder will have it written under any circumstance you can’t keep the dog you are to return the dog to the breeder. Not surrender it to the shelter.
Adopt and Shop responsibly
a puppy case BUT we dont get to see a cute little pug lol
The Pug breeder looks like a Pug herself! lol
Lmao she contacted the AG to get a refund for her puppy.
I read the title as "refund for a detective pug"
Me: Detective pug? 0_0 I have to watch this episode!
then I realise it is a "defective pug"
Well, o.k I will watch about the defective pug, not intriguing as a detective one, but o.k
🤣
Where tf is part 3!?
I know everyone is talking about how bad they feel for the poor dog but setting that aside for a minute~ can we talk about the two finely dressed gentlemen behind the lady on the left~? They look like they some very humble social elites and I love it~
I audibly gasped at her careless at letting the puppy eating chocolate.
I don't even have a dog and I how dangerous that is!
Calling the attorney must be a thing!! A lady did that to a poshmark seller lol
The pug in and of itself.... is defective...
Great program
That's ridiculous
I'm sorry to all pugs, but they are all born defective. They have sooo many health issues, mainly breathing too. I was watching a vet wake up a pug up after he needed to be intubated and they flat out said pugs are the only animal that they wake up before taking the tube out because they seem to enjoy being able to breathe normally. They know they don't mind the tube because literally anything else that's been intubated freaks the fuck out if they just so happen to wake up with it still in.
Plaintiff turned beet red at mention of the restraining order. Ouch!
The amount of people that should NOT be pet owners…. 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
"Defective Pug"? I thought by default, all Pugs were to some extent "defective". 🤣 Poor, sad, inbred little things... Then the plantiff wanted to breed a father to a daughter... 🤣🤣🤣 Good lord...
Where's part 2??? 😂😭😭😭

First of all a pug is deformed so if you say my pug is defect you had already a defect dog.. the buyer is a defect person for real…
I thought it said refund on detective…😂
3 litters a year from one dog?!
I'm no expert but that's not healthy for a female dog to have that many in such a short time.
Bad breeder.
Anyone who forces a dog to be pregnant three times a year is sick and cruel.
This case is a perfect example why women should just go out, get a job and get a life 🤷🏼♂️
