I’m a cod fan and I like this XDefiant too. Obviously there are small annoying bugs, but it’s still a new game. It’s just fun game to play. I’ll still pay for the next COD and still play both.

Everyone kept saying Xdefiant will be dead soon. Sure it will die if it's still in the current state and only some players will stay with it. If the developer is still dedicated and once all bug is fixed, it will be revived again and prosper, heck, more people will be coming to Xdefiant. Since this is a Ubisoft game, their life cycle is like that. For multiplayer game example would be R6S, it died out for a few years after it was released and it came back up stronger than ever with the most concurrent player count. I hope Xdefiant can become like that too...

Didn’t Fortnite recently break their peak player count record? Also BF2042 regained some players after improving over the years. Minecraft saw a resurgence too back in 2020 and is still going decently strong.
It’s certainly true that games don’t need to be constantly popular to survive or even thrive in the long term.

Man 2025 is gonna be good splitgate 2 has some good potential I honestly really liked the original even tho it had one hell of a learning curve for me 😂 and Xdefiant will have a decent polish too it given some time
Honestly I don't think I would freak out of they announced a XDefiant 2. In my mind, they would probably take a similar route to how CS:GO went to CS2.
It'll essentially play the same, transfer all purchases to the new version, updated engine with better graphics and visual effects, etc. I doubt anyone would complain about that (other than the handful that are never satisfied in life lol).

@@justinpearson9170 IMO, it still too early to announced XD2. I don't believe in Ubisoft will do the same like Valve transferring all purchases to new version. Most probably, it will become like Blizzard's Overwatch 2. Btw, they can update the engine to improve the graphic and visual effect within it's lifespan similar to R6S Operation Health.
Even CS2 has a lot of issues and currently having problems with cheaters. Don't get me wrong, Valve is making progress to fix it, but their unconventional approach means they can't evenly focus on all of their games and end up with a very slow progress and being somewhat too silent. TF2 apparently got better, so there's hope.
The only F2P live-service game that I expect to be okay with releasing with a "2" is Splitgate, because it deserved a better structure from ground up. It was literally made as a college project and now they're cooking with $100mil, so hopefully they can focus and make a great game.
Definitely more enjoyable than cod it does need more progression tho

I've been playing CoD online since MoH:AA and I just don't understand the people that continue buying each installment with all of their predatory practices for a full priced game which will only have a lifespan of a year. I really enjoy Xdefiant for the fact that it reminds me more of the older CoD games where I can just run around and have fun not seeing a person running around with a Nicki Minaj or Kevin Durant skin.

@@JbowenDaMan Yeah the CoD community is just toxic nowdays which wasn't the case back in the United Offensive days where it was still more of a niche hybrid game that walked a fine line between BF1942 and DoD/MoH:AA/RTCW.

@@Delbeck99this is why I want both games to do good. The competition is what’s currently keeping Ubisoft in check. Activision hasn’t really changed their tune much but they certainly are watching their steps closer.
I wish more studios stopped catering to last gen. Trying to make this work on older hardware is just a waste of time. People will buy skins to no end but won't upgrade their console...

@@codlover93love24 I don’t play ranked, I mostly play casual. Also there’s tons of content already covering ranked and the devs have already come out and stated there will be faction capping and penalties for ditching matches.

Cod will never die 😂 - I know someone that barely plays but will lap up the next cod the moment it comes out with all of its trash attached. Some people can't be changed. I think its some kind of status symbol for some people...
with cod on gamepass, they could definitely now just make mp free and tie it with warzone. follow CoD online and CoDM, it just makes sense + those games are viewed better by the public anyway, hell people were getting hyped up with Sm2, which was just a fancier version of CoDM. There is obviously a demographic for free pvp arena.
This game is what got me to uninstall apex after 2k hours. The most fun I’ve had in an arena shooter in a long time.
imho this game has a year and if the player base hasnt risen a lot i think ubi will step in and it will have maybe a year after that to show a turn around , if we hear of devs leaving you know the writings on the wall.
but jb will be saying devs leave games all the time they move on , in an industry that is in turmoil at the moment i dont think any dev will want to leave a paying job without another place to go to as there are 1000s of unemployed devs out there at the minute and there will be more when ms starts to shut studios down.
ubi is a business and they are after their slice of the kiddy coins and once the profits start to drop they will take action.

We didn’t have xdefaint type maps in mw2019 and mw2 because they have Joe the door / safe space addict ceot working on those games Joe would start shaking and twitching if any of the maps had no doors or safe spaces
I just wish the team balancing would change. 90% of my games, my entire team is going negative, and i have to carry them. I'm player of the game majority of the time, and I still lose. This game feels just as bad as COD sbmm if you're a good player.

The new Battelfield is easily the worst game I've ever played. I just can't comprehend how they thought they made a good game.
the issues in the game have been there for a year and players are leaving in droves and the cheaters are taking over and all rubin seems to do is throw shade at other games and ppl who complain about xd , sounds like an EX COD DEV in action.
most of the challenges tick over in the background and there only a few that you need to chase other than that all you are doing is ranking up guns to chase the next camo they add in so next year we will have guns at lvl 900.
all you have to do is read the comments and you will see that ppl are saying they have ditched the game due to the net code that shows little signs of improvement from the first tests a year ago , 2 months my ass.
Man this team behind xdefiant are just right. I hope the next battlefield do the same kind of stuff. I mean game that are there for 10 years. Battlefield now (3 years later) feels great. If you have a game like xdefiant why go around and do another one. Good for them. The industry should look and take note.
Be carefull what you wish for this might not turn out to be a good thing . The last thing I want is not having a new game in every couple of years maybe not every year
Love this game✌🏼 cod waw player here loved cod for years and years. Last few cod games i didnt really like the map designs. Xdefiant came out and its something new too try and it did hit me. Maybe ill try bo6 but not really sure yet.

I do think though after xdefaints launch how frightened activation is of the game it’s only a matter of time until cod removes SBMM its a ticking time bomb
@@Voidableflame I wish this was the truth, but COD is too strong and large to die out anytime soon. Even if all of us hardcore players leave, they still have hundreds of thousands of casuals ready to scoop up COD on a yearly basis no matter what gets released. But I really do hope SBMM gets removed at some point in COD, but we can only keep our fingers crossed 🤞

They’re never removing EOMM because casuals still don’t know how manipulated they’re being through the match making. We keep calling it skill based match making when it’s not based on skill, it’s based on optimizing engagement using skill as a factor.

I think people are confusing negativity with constructive criticism. It’s perfectly fine and actually a good thing for the community to provide constructive criticism.
What JB is talking about is how a lot of people in the community just have a very negative attitude and act like they absolutely hate the game. People like that are welcome to leave.
If you can’t enjoy XDefiant in its current state then maybe it’s just not the game for you. There’s no need to stick around hurling insults at the devs trying to get them to turn XDefiant into your personal vision of what an arcade shooter should be.
But that’s the thing…. People are pointing out what’s wrong with the game and he’s acting like it’s hating. It’s constructive criticism like you just said.

I just started up xdefiant and it took me longer to start a game whats going on?
Its just that the gameplay loop of xdefiant is boring, the abilities of the characters kill the gameplay loop for me.
I showed to my firend Xdefiant few days ago and hes said this game is good and see potencial in there but theres one thing he dont like on Xdefiant and thats one thing..... he think "time to kill is so higher and most of weapons on lvl 1 you dont have enough munition to kill more than one player" and that what he dislike on that whole game "because when you team is not good you cant save the game by your self and if there is lowest time to kill it will be mutch more better because you can kill more than one player" that what he said, what do you think should time to kill need change ?
NOTE: He played most FPS games like COD (hes not a fanboy but he likes it amog FPSs), battlefield, even games like Iron Sight and simmelar games. And compare to these games he thinks Xdefiant has highest time to kill, He thinks lowest is better because like I mention before he likes when you can oprtunity safe the game alone (kill more than one player on one mag) in shor carry the game.
Practice cross hair placement, prefire, and go for headshots. It's not a hard concept, getting good takes time...I was horrible a couple months ago but with some time, practice, and changing some settings I am slaughtering other players now 😂
Ive only played the game a few times but I'd say that helps the game play smoothly cuz overall this game feels like battlefield
I think the TTK is perfect. It rewards using some skill. Before engaging a gunfight, have an exit strategy ready. Kill one, use the exit, and jump in and finish the other guy. A low TTK, especially with the current netcode would be a horrible experience IMO for most people. If your friend likes to take on an army he should probably use Phantom's barrier and a LMG. You won't have any problems with that combo as long as you put a little distance between you and the enemy. I also have friends that struggle because they play this like every other game. Doing that won't work, you have to be smarter and the only way you really learn this is putting the time into the game.

People love to overreact to things on x if everybody else is jumping down the game's throat then they feel like they have to as well. Never understood that people need to think for themselves. The game looks brilliant. I'm going to have to get a new console this year and get back to gaming. Get myself a series X.

I haven't played in weeks, game was just the definition of mid to me. I'm excited to check it out again in like 6-12 months, who doesn't want more games to play regardless of what "team" you're on.
They are probably on PS5. Because the game runs like SHITTTT on PS5!!! Frame drops, high pings, and terrible server sync and hit reg. You dont know what your talking about. Not everyone is having a great experience in this game bro! Do some research before shitting on people that are "Hating" on a game that doesn't work for them. Well, I've been playing xdefiant for a decent amount of hours and I can honestly say, it's just meh. Doesn't particularly do anything good, has a couple of things that definitely need work, and literally the same copy and paste live service we've seen a million times before. Really nothing original, nothing to go out of your way for, maybe a pick up and play for a few hours and that's it. Pretty bored of it actually. Kind of bland. The only thing that is pretty decent was how the boosters only activate in actual play times, which is sad I actually have to mention because the industry standard seems to be to screw you over x 2 (need for a booster and always running when active even when not in game), to just x 1 (needing a booster). So generally, I don't see this really growing beyond the initial excitement because it really brings nothing innovative or original to an already saturated market. I don't know if there is any EOMM but what I can say is if EOMM is indeed as effective as some believe in possibly addicting people to a certain behavioral pattern then why wouldn't a AAA studio use it? Easy pass from here on out.

@@bobbyhill6193 it does not have SBMM at all besides in the welcome playlist and ranked. Also I still played and enjoyed MW3 regardless of SBMM, I have plenty of video proof on the channel.
They publicly said that there’s no SBMM and showed exactly how their matchmaking works. I’m pretty sure they could get in some legal trouble if they lied in such a direct way.
There’s a reason that Activision has to be indirect and speak in legalese whenever they talk about matchmaking in COD.
Also you can just feel it in the game, especially if you’re one of the better players.
Xdfiant is not doing a yearly cycle like cod it will have monthly updates witch features new maps modes and a new faction cod black ops 6 won't even come close to the content of of xdfiant
