I use this same system, 2 liter bottle, sugar water, yeast, drilled hole in top, put smaller tube than you used, sealed with silicone, ran it into Flowtron 40. Shake bottle every couple days - generated CO2 does not seem to have a problem moving through tube, you can see bubbles being forced up tube. IMHO it works great as attractant, hang a bucket under trap or place a white sheet for a day or two and you will see the bug carnage.

You can use carbonated water, drill small holes to slowly release the carbon dioxide. It is tested and proven to work better than yeast.

where are you located? Have you experimented with running the pump vs not running the pump? carbon dioxide is heavier than air, so i wonder about your thoughts of having both the air inlet and air outlet are at the top, instead of having the air outlet at the bottom and the inlet at the top.

Nice improvement over the other video of not using a aquarium pump. To add onto your idea i researched and found that there are diy co2 kits for aquatic plants. These kits add co2 slowly over a longer period of time. Time varies from users but can last up to 45 days. No extra power for a pump either.

Thinking of doing similar with just baking soda and vinegar, getting killed here in PA this summer

Vinegar and baking soda doesn't last long. Dry ice sublimation may work and in a good foam cooler with a hose could allow it to last awhile. His yeast idea is pretty good. Other attractants are octenol and lactic acid. They are very good and all 3 is ideal.

What state do you live in?

Wisconsin here, rain rain rain all summer, worst year ever for us and we live in the sticks near a pond. These things are soooo hungry and crazy even the best repellent sprays seem to attract them. Tell you what I think! I hate the bastards and have declared WAR! I bought a black flag BZ 40, JUNK! It kills some but is so week it doesn't even make a zapp noise and is plug bad in the morning.....Anyway......Its mosquito apocalypse here, we are the ones dying! I should do some vids on all I have tried over the last 30 years. Thank for the vid and would appreciated any advice you have beyond this!

Daniel Lee oh trust me I've been there before. I used to frequent location in rural Wisconsin near the swamps and Marsh. Absolutely buried in the forest. My best advice to you, get a flowtron bug zapper. They are more expensive because they're in name-brand, but their customer service is top-notch. Mine has been extremely reliable. Get the biggest one you can, if you can also get some genuine mosquito attractant which flowtron also sells that would increase the kill rate of mosquitoes dramatically

I was looking at the 8800!....I grew up in the 70's same place, we had sears/flowtrons were made for them,.......They would blow bugs apart! LOL....Not the best for skeeters, they did help...we knew nothing of octenol and such then. I have an acre of land, garden too, and "CAN'T" even enjoy a nice day now. Andrew? Do you think I would be better off with like say 5/80W flows or one 8800? Price would be close.

the 8800 is a monster for sure, but divide and conquer might be the best solution for a huge area. I personally have the BK-80D and love the thing. been using for years now. a few of those with octenol will certainly decimate the mosquito population.

mosquito I may try the divide thing. If the 80's burn of most bugs I will do that....This Black flag is a joke!.......I wounder if its not working right?.... I have never heard one zap?...Really? A few nights it was full of them, never have I seen or heard a zap......Just saying.....I dont get it.... It has killed some Mosquitos.

Daniel Lee can't say I've ever tried a zapper from Black Flag, although I am currently trying their brand of octanol.

You didn't really present any evidence that it works or makes any difference at all.
