Thing was a total loss even as fire got on scene. Don't know if the lady in the background thought it could be saved and said "I hope they hurry." Maybe it would have helped if someone turned the motorcycle off. In the beginning, it was still running. Might have saved time, effort, and money.

First guy on the scene could've put the fire out with a fire extinguisher

  • @bewnike

I can't believe that none of the houses across the street had a fire extinguisher. It was small enough at the beginning that an extinguisher could have put it out no problem.

Like I said, by the time we found our extinguisher, we were told to stay away.

Not that it was a big fire, but what an extremely quick knockdown that was. I timed it, and they arrived on scene, pulled a line, charged that line and had water on the fire in less than a minute. Excellent work by those boys. Great catch too Ron.

Most people have a fire extinguisher in the Car Holding Area and or in a Breeze-way. To much Panic and not enough action plain and simple.

in the beginning a couple of guys pissing on the fire could have put it out. Come one people no buckets no garden hoses of fire extinguishers around!

Two officer vehicles raced to the scene, lights on. Neither one had a driver or anyone that could actually put some extinguisher on that fire? If not, they did not need that many vehicles responding code to this.

This section is Station 77's first due but Station 13 is closer so their engine is due on all calls. Keep in mind these are volunteer companies so there is always a chance that there may not be anybody available to respond or enough manpower. Engine 7 was also responding on the call but they were recalled when Chief 7 determined he had more than enough on scene.

Whoever the two guys that showed up first are, they're worthless. You're gonna run lights and sirens and then just take pictures???? Just stay at the firehouse. Good job by the first engine, but you really don't need to spray water off to the side, that's one of those things that firefighters do that really doesn't make sense, it's just a tradition. Kind of like sending a second engine on a bike fire.

How do you get to the fire scene faster than the FD? How do you even know about it, do you just listen to the scanner all day, with your car keys in your pocket, ready to go at any second? And how are there this many fires in your area, you make a video like every day! I'm not meaning this as an insult, this is genuine curiosity!

    • @rrobertsnot5150

It was probably only dispatched as a "vehicle fire" which could mean anything. It depends on the dispatchers and the 911 caller how much information is given. And hearing that lady in the background, if she called she probably way over exaggerated it.
