This piece is pretty special to me. I shot the entire recording session for DUETS, along with some interviews, and put this together. Remember, what you see of reba and Kelly in the studio, is the actual footage from the recording.
In addition to this piece, I had the honor to work with Don Henly, Carole King, Kelly Clarkson, Faith, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, Vince Gill and Trisha. For each session, I put together these short segments, and CMT put them all together and made a show of it.
Kelly Clarkson rocks. I have enjoyed working with her so much. She is the real deal.

This is one of the most amazing duets. It was so powerful and emotional!

I'm honored to get to see Reba in concert in 4 days. Her voice is so powerful. Kelly is also very amazing. They make the best pair ever in the whole music production buisness. Both very inspirational people. I think they need to tour more again together.
Absolute magic, there is no one better out there to rip your heart out with a song like Reba. She is the true musical legend everyone says she is.
When the joined in together and started singing i got the chills, like good chills. LOL. I love Kelly!!! GO TEXAS!

Thanks so much for posting this video. It's awesome. I love this song, they harmonize so well together. And yes, Kelly does rock, she's as sweet as can be, and totally down to earth. I'm glad you got to see that. And, as Reba has said, one of the best vocalist in the entire world.

First time I heard this song was when Reba and Kelly sang it together in a duet. It is because I am such a fan of Reba's, that I realized the talent of Kelly and started listening more to her music as well. Both have great voices, and sing well together.

She mentioned it because in the beginning she said that Reba didn't need to convince her to record the song with Kelly. She also says that Reba wouldn't even have to convince Kelly to record a children's song like Mary Had a LIttle Lamb because recording with Reba is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Kind of a weird situation.
Reba takes Kelly's song that she wrote, sings the lead vocal and makes Kelly sing backing vocals on it.
Kelly's pretty humble I must say.
I do like Kelly's original version of this song much better. Seems like Reba has more of the vocals here. But I do like this performance as well. Reba and Kelly are great together.

@CatBeaty1 honestly there are two factors that play into peoples oppinions of this. One is what music they are more proned to listen to pop, rock, or country If they listen to pop/rock they'll lean towards kelly's version original(keep in mind, that version is the one she was awarded a grammy for). if they listen to country, they lean towards country, they'll cling to reba/kelly's duet. It also lands on who people fan over reba or kelly. those that liked kelly before, like the orignal.

I love Kelly and how real she is, and I love their relationship! I just prefer the original more -just Kelly! Kelly is so happy though!!
This song benefits so much from this "country" production and in that Reba is absolutely dominant in emotion and power. It is a Kelly's song but she performs it kinda routinely and this duet fixed that. For the best. ;)

Incredible singing and how about that nasty ass groove! Who would have thought that a string section,pedal steel and a mandolin could fit so nicely together. The only part I didn't care for was the vocal back and forth in the bridge section. I thought it was a bit busy and a little distracting but they made it work. Damn good song!
Everyone has their own opinion. Some prefer Kelly's solo version. Some like this one better. I like this one better.
This was recorded at Starstruck Studios (recording studio that Reba's company owns) in Nashville.
im a guy and i like reba this had to be something very big to stand side by side with reba and record with her she pav the way for a lot female and shap music so powerfuly
