- In the grunge era, this is what passed for game: noncommittal gestures towards playing house as a prelude to just straight-up doing it. There’s so much late-night peacocking on “Breed” - the pelvic-thrust of a guitar intro, its mimicking by the bass, the aggressive tom rolls - you can practically smell the cigarette smoke in the bar where the slightly disheveled, greasy-haired couple is meeting before they go home together. It’s one of the most alive songs on Nevermind, purely for its deep lust - the band giving into their most animalistic impulses, channeled on distortion in free fall.

Thought I'd leave this here for you because it might make you smile.
End of 2022 i was so depressed i couldnt force myself to get out of bed, music was one of few escapes, id wanted a guitar since i was 8 but my parents always said either "we cant afford one" or "your sister gave up bass after 2 months and youll do the same with guitar" id just gotten into nirvana and saw your cover of breed. It reignited my passion for wanting to learn guitar, and i once again asked for a guitar. To my surprise, she agreed to get me one. It was an acoustic, which sucked because i asked for an electric, and during an accident, only 2-3 weeks after getting it, it was destroyed. I was beaten back to 0, but this video remained in my mind. For christmas i was given yet another acoustic (a hand me down from an aunt) and i went all in on this one, i learnt alot of riffs and would play for 3 hours a day, since it was one of few things i enjoyed. Eventually i found my dads old electric squier strat and amp (he bought it 20 years ago and forgot it existed) and i learnt about a girl, everlong and for whom the bell tolls, but breed always eluded my ability.
Im happy to announce that as of july 31st (7 months after obtaining the strat), i have defeated my depression, learnt breed, and actually got accepted into a performing arts school in the city. (Dont ask how, i couldnt possibly tell you, my audition tape was awful)
This video was the catalyst to all my growth and change, and I'd just like to say thank you and inform you that if nothing else, you've changed at least one life.
Sorry if that last part was too cheesy btw, but i felt it was important to emphasise the impact youve had.

I love my tele, but I would really like to mod a Jaguar like Kurt did.
Lalairu Kurt didn’t mod his 65 Jaguar himself, he bought it off some guy in Los Angeles with those mods. I do think though that after getting that Jaguar, he fell in love with the TOM bridge and that’s why he tried to use them on his Mustangs.

Lalairu many say Cliff Richard here was one of the owners of Kurt’s Jaguar before him:

Lalairu there’s a few differences and mods like the Strat neck and inlays that haven’t been done yet but it would be 10 years after that video was recorded where Kurt would en get the Jaguar from the previous owner who ever that was.
Krist Novoselic even said that the Jaguar Cliff Richard had is the likely the same.

Tbh the solo is probably one of the easier solos out there so if that’s hard you need to keep practicing. This is constructive criticism so I’m not trying to be rude just saying keep practicing and you’ll be able to play anything thrown at you! 🤘
