      It's nice since Lab coat 21s B assist is barrier. Though for hers, since it's pink it may not help to make the DR as well. Either way, a triple barrier team just sounds fun lol

      @@NovaZayn I got two videos showcasing A and B assist called at same time, literally the only thing that affects it is how long the assist takes to complete as the cooldown timer starts later the more time the assist takes to complete, not whether it's an A or B assist. Only C assists have different cooldowns.
      ruclips.net/video/dBalmdg37Dc/видео.html In this case Piccolo A takes longer to return off cooldown because it's longer than Cell B, you can tell both have the same cooldown overall though as both of the cooldown timers travel at the same speed.
      ruclips.net/video/9jqGMce-BiM/видео.html In this case UI B recovers a bit later than 16 A due to the same reason, both timers are clearly travelling at the same speed.
      Could you please make a pinned comment clarifying that error?
      B assists having longer cooldowns also doesn't make much sense, as most B assists are essentially just sidegrades to A assists, and there's a lot of assists that function very similar (Yamcha A + Adult Gohan B, Piccolo A + 16 B, SSJ Goku A + Trunks B as examples) despite being A and B, and it would make little sense if these assists, most of the time not better than the A variation also had longer cooldowns.

    at 1:47 "you shouldn't guess when the opponent might mash" French players enter the chat :D

    • @NovaZayn
      @NovaZayn  3 года назад +2

      Hahaha I meant blinding guessing; I've heard many online YTers say that for advice (not naming names) and they usually waste the assist. The french don't guess, they strategically use it after layers. For example, they'd call it after 4LL, after 5S, etc bc those are parts that they previously used to reset. It might look like they're guessing if you're not aware of their pressure!

    Great video! Barrier, especially 18 A, is so different to a regular assist that it's got a high learning curve as opposed to a regular assist, but it's one of the strongest in the game if you master it!
    Barrier gets a lot of mileage out of using it to cover moves and specials that are usually negative and prevent your opponent from instinctually taking their turn back, you broke it down really well!

    • @NovaZayn
      @NovaZayn  3 года назад +1

    I love 17s barriers I’ve been running it with kefla and janemba I see why 18 is better with Keflas 214s cause it tanks more hits and 17s only tanks like 1 or 2 plus I just enjoy playing 17 more then 18 even though she’s strong as well lol

  • @namesurname6000

    A and B assists have the same cooldown. The only thing that leads to them recovering at different times is the duration of the assist as the cooldown only starts once the assist leaves. This is really easy to test in training mode. Please make sure you test things out properly before you make claims like that.

  • @starxyt3486

    I have a question, how do you deal with roshi B assist cause it hits me a lot since it takes up a large amount of space for some time and it's annoying to deal with?

    • @NovaZayn
      @NovaZayn  3 года назад

      Roshi B is tough to move around. You can try to reflect it before the first hit makes contact, but sometimes you have to be ready to just block it if you’re in zone 1. It’s better than getting hit. If you can, SJ away and try to bait them to call the assist by doing things like dash jump forward into air dash back, or float above them into a lariat move to create space.

    Idk if u still reply here but sometimes i get hit thru my barrier, any possible explanations why? (I use 17 barrier assist)

    • @NovaZayn
      @NovaZayn  2 года назад

      Ur body has to be fully covered by the barrier, including your head for overheads (like Z.Broly's standing head wouldn't be protected) and your feet. Having your body in the barrier but your feet is outside of it is a common mistake that leaves you open to 2Ms and lows

    • @kurokaen1234
      @kurokaen1234 2 года назад +1

      @@NovaZayn okok, and one more question, if the barrier assist blocks the enemy, is it good to now attack them once theres an opening or let 17 assist do the work

    • @NovaZayn
      @NovaZayn  2 года назад

      @@kurokaen1234 you can 2M/5M/2H for best punishes, especially with 18. 17’s can ruin that for you because of the scaling. Letting it hit is safer, but will heavily reduce your combo’s damage compared to using a M after 18 barrier

      @@NovaZayn ok, i’ll keep that in mind, thanks for the tips because i use 17 a lot and i be feeling like barrier be getting hit thru and i wasnt entirely sure of i could put in a 2M or 5M to punish it when they hit the barrier
