This is my first ring modulator demo! Ring modulation is one of those effects that can be quite dividing. I feel that most people don't fully understand how many different ways a ring modulator can be used for musical purposes. The Fairfield Randy's Revenge is an incredibly musical ring modulator. Everything from gorgeous trems to obnoxious clangs can be had with this pedal!
Bass used: Dingwall ABZ 6 String
Other effects used: Boss OC-2, Source Audio Aftershock, Strymon El Capitan, TC Electronics Mini HOF

Huge fan of ring modulators. In high frequencies they needn't be tuned as they give out each pitch/ note in tune( almost at least). Always helpful to hit them with a compressor and octaver before them and add a dirt box and a low pass filter after them( in this order)Randy's revenge in my opinion is better as a tremolo than a ring modulator. Apart from the moog ring modulator which is pricey the frequency analyzer by ehx is very powerful.
Just saw this demo - have you tried the Ring Thing from EHX and how do they compare, if so?

Nice demonstration. I'm looking for a way to get the bass tone to react the way a banjo head affects the banjo strings. How would you do this electronically?
