To me, difference does feel night and day. I thought it was a muddy mess before, but now it looks incredible. With VRR, it feels super smooth and I don't see those frame dips. Plus we get all the lovely effects like motion blur, which was missing on the base PS5 in performance mode
Hi! I’m really sorry but I launched the game (well rather the trial version) after downloading the update today but I can’t find the quality and performance modes of the PS5 pro... they didn’t change the name of these modes? There are only quality and performance, as before the update...
The options are the same, just updated now to be running via PRO performance parameters. I know as I have a PRO and can instantly see the difference on the Performance "Speed" option.
I stopped playing when i knew the pro was coming. I started the warhammer over and it looks amazing on ps5 pro. War hammer is so sharp on ps5 pro. I am glad i did not finish it. Playing it on my oled lg c1 83in and loving it. I going to go back and start new game + on ff7 rebirth
At launch on the ps5, the performance mode was so bad. Targeted 60fps was like a 1080p visual mode but it was really like a 45fps game and it just dropped all the time. Was ugly to play in low res. The 30fps mode was locked and had better visuals but 30fps was so hard to get used to. Basically forced to play with my Warhammer mad friends. But now, performance mode is a smooth 60fps and the 4k looks even better than the quality mode. It's a huge night and day change. Makes me want to play the campaign again. These 1080p 60fps games on base ps5 are the reason I got a Pro.
The Pro IS a night and day difference on this game. The base PS5 has some kind of blur filter over the picture, but on the Pro, everything is sharp and smooth.

PSSR only struggles when the internal resolution is below 1080p. It also struggles when RT effects are rendering at a super low resolution, or GI effects like lumen at low resolutions. It’s superior to FSR in every way.

Seems as if the resolution from all the game mentioned are around internally 1080p same as space marine in performance mode, we’re developers using an older pssr version at the time or is this on the devs.
I have it on pc and played the campaign to full completion and played around with the mp quite a lot so I won't pick this one up for my ps5 pro but it's awesome its been patched for everyone who played it at launch with the blur and low res or for the new comers to the game
you can even tell the huge difference in image quality just by looking at this youtube video on a mobile phone... image a big TV...

@@elwingy I bet if Sony lit a bonfire and told you to prostrate to it, your only question would be: "Can I drink the kool-aid too while doing it?"
To me, difference does feel night and day. I thought it was a muddy mess before, but now it looks incredible. With VRR, it feels super smooth and I don't see those frame dips. Plus we get all the lovely effects like motion blur, which was missing on the base PS5 in performance mode
Is it worth trading my Ps5 and adding 350$ to get the pro
@terminator04201989 For me it was, well, I bought the Pro and use the OG PS5 in another room. But I'm happy with my purchase
@@TheBuffig I think I'm going to wait to much and no disc drive.
As an Xbox Series X and PS5 Pro owner...the PS5 Pro actually looks like the Series X version and im surprised nobody is talking about that!
I still don’t get it why native resolution is so low? I can go 1440p with 3060 12gb wit ease locked 60fps with high settings😱
Would tou recommend having the pro in 120hz?
Yes just make sure your display doesn’t have any compromises at 4K/120
Can u check the area with the creepy crawlies? That area hit the vanilla hard, dropping the performance below 50 fps
Nice!
Can you review Apex Legends on the ps5 pro? No one has done it yet surprisingly
I see a video last night getting 120fps on the pro in this game . My lg tv was telling me i was getting 120fps. Any reason why ?
can you please do an HDR test for Hunt Showdown next? thanks!
Whelp. Looks like I'm buying the ps5 version now then, and starting the grind all over again 😅
Where is my video for rise of the ronin ps5 pro?
Path of Exile 2 next?
A lot of bot comments saying the same thing. Sony is working overtime to sell you the Pro console. Again, at a normal viewing distance, both versions look identical
i can see the difference already on my smartphone, so i am a bot too? 🤔🤦🏻♂️😂😂
@@Thor86- Yes you are. Even Marcus said you need at least 65" OLED TV or better to notice a minimal difference. Save your breath, since Nov 7th you bots have been compensating your buyer's remorse by coping and spamming every comparison video with how otherworldly the Pro looks.
Yes, its a giant conspiracy! The lizard aliens have taken over Sony exec bodies, and are harvesting our money
Puuurfect!
I just the ps6 is Zen 6 CPU with Udna... That will put them on par with like 9700x 4080 super level performance
At that time PC Will have the 6000-7000 series and the 4080 super Will be an 8 years old card...
PSSR only struggles when the internal resolution is below 1080p. It also struggles when RT effects are rendering at a super low resolution, or GI effects like lumen at low resolutions. It’s superior to FSR in every way.
Awesome ❤
🔥 🔥 🔥
It's not PSSR that's the problem, devs dont know how to use it
@@deetsitmeisterjd it’s only an issue when they go below 1080p
It's lazy Dev's & UR5 that is trash, both XSX & PS5 Pro great hardware. If you look at 1st party games they look great on both systems.
@ XSX is weak
Lol try indiana jones on it @@teddyholiday8038
@@teddyholiday8038How? I love my X and Pro 😊
If pssr is working well it's either good at reconstructing from lower resolution or pssr doesn't work well with unreal 5 it seems it's the games using unreal 5
Added sharpness to the game. They did not add performance. Pay $700 for the ps5pro. Beautiful, beautiful.
They didn’t add performance? Did you watch the video and see the clear frame bump and stability?
@@alphaj9 I saw everything. Do I have to pay double the price for this?
i don't know prices everywhere but in the UK brand new PS5 Slim is £309 right now and Pro is £699 totally £400 upgrade going on here🤣🤣
@@overheatedeskim054 False, PS5 slim in on sale yet you state the non-sale price of the Pro. Sad

Apparentlly it runs in 120FPS with the new Patch on my LG Oled C2 in the speed mode. How it is possible? Normally it should be 60FPS... Is there a diffrence between 120FPS and 60 FPS?
It runs in 120Hz and 60FPS. No difference in visual quality but better response time in 120Hz.
@@GamingTech-RUclips Thank you very much for the quick reply :)..Do you know why it runs directly in 120 FPS? Should it not be only 60FPS? is this due to the VRR? On my LG C2 its says 120Hz Fixed mode :).
@@MariusPF20 It's not 120FPS it's 120Hz. The game has now a 120Hz mode but it still runs in 60FPS. 120Hz are better then 60Hz. You have the 120Hz output set to automatic on your PS5 that's why it runs in 120Hz. Every game should do that!
@ i understand thank you .. I did noticed a difference actually..when automatic 120 hz is turned of on the ps5 pro the game runs in RGB voor space and when the 120 hz is turned on the game runs in YCBCR 422 . I can definitely see some differences between, not sure if is quality or its du to the higher range of RGB .
@@GamingTech-RUclipsthis is really interesting stuff.
So does that apply to the Quality mode, too? I.e 30fps in a 60hz container?
As the Quality mode certainly does not feel like i’m playing a 30fps game…
The quality mode looks great on the Pro... but the asset quality downgrade to performance is to high and to noticeable. I would much prefer a single Pro mode with regular PS5 quality assets and even resolution but at 60fps. Not sure CPU limitations would be a problem here.
An excellent example of a Pro patch done properly and not half assed (looking at you bloober team 😠 )
digital foundry said different during live stream....
I finally started playing this yesterday my god it looks great now. It was such a grainy mess on the ps5.
I have a 120 hz vrr tv but it's 48in. Is the pro still worth it
I think so, depends of viewing distance and your eyesight
I would think the pro is worth it for bigger TV’s. I personally bought the pro for an 85 inch
can you play game single player only & is it worth the 40 💸
If I have ps5 is it worth upgrading to ps5 pro ?
