They talked about the song being in memory of Biggie in the interview they did before the performance. They said they wanted to cover this song because it fit the mood of the pandemic and it combined both rapping and singing. Sting who wrote Every Breath You Take from which I'll Be Missing You is sampled from retweeted BTS performance.
They are so respectful when doing covers, not taking away the meaing of the song but adding their voice to it. This was a great blend of an amazing and heartfelt tribute with a sprinkle of bangtan's orginality. Unicorns.......they're all unicorns. Everyone is vocal line.

There was a interview before they did the song and he may actually spoke about biggie smalls and the respect for the song and how they wanted to keep the original sting instrumental but pay homage to the rap and the song that Puff Daddy did it for Biggie's memory

UGH JIMINS VOICE IS EVERYTHING! That mans voice is a gem💎Like Jimin has the most unique vocal color and range. He has such a beautiful and quite distinct vocal timbre. His pretty vocals add a new layer of flavour to every song and he can pull off any type of style or genre. Jimin is one of the finest vocalists in the music industry. That man is just in insane vocalist. One of a kind. I could listen to him all day. His voice just heals me and gives me sm comfort. Like how can someone sing like that? Overall they all sounded and looked amazing👏🏼
As a 90s baby and an Army, this makes me so proud to see. They did so well and JIn's vocals were top tier. Mixing Jimin's beautiful tenor notes with Taehyung's bass notes would make my high school chorus teacher proud. R.I.P Biggie.
R.I.P. Biggie 🙏🏼. I remember seeing this on tv when Puff and Faith Evans did this song I was blown away. I was worried when I saw BTS covered this song. They did it beautifully though with the falsettos 👌🏼☺️
BTS acknowledged that this song originally was a tribute to Biggie, but they also took it and converted it into a song for our times in the pandemic, where lots of people are losing their loved ones too, and with social distancing, folks are unable to see those they love as well. So rather than leaving out what it was originally meant for, they added to it and made it a song for everyone who is missing someone (which probably includes ARMYs who are missing BTS), and I think that pays mad respect to the song.

RM definitely mentioned Biggie at the Radio One interview when asked about this cover . And of the hundreds of reactions I’ve seen virtually everyone mentions Biggie and remembers him so I think this cover certainly revives the memory of Biggie ( may he RIP) 🙏
They all sounded amazing. Loved the harmonies. No artist has ever made me cry bc of their voice. He’s the only artist that ever made me cry bc of his voice. It’s just so soothing, healing, and comforting. That mans voice just touches my heart and the emotion he puts in it. Jimin such a breathtaking vocalist! He executes every song so perfectly with his vocals and the way he does adlibs, high notes, vocal runs and the way he perfectly harmonizes with every one so beautifully and also conveys the emotions of the songs so raw and perfect, like?
I’m absolutely proud of the vocalist jimin has become. This was the person who had to sit outside the room while other members were getting vocal lessons just so he could get some parts of the training and practice on his own😭
Noticed how most reactors genuinely impressed and more hype everytime Suga parts comes no matter what song it is even tho his lines is too short, wbk Suga is amazing like real amazing, he is on top of his game, no wonder he got the most collab requests, people can see the talents.
"Look at Yoongwert's hair". Omg Yoongwert! I love that nickname for him and i hope that sticks, that's so funny lol. They did mention Biggie, but BBC put that in a separate video, there's a pre-performance interview on that same channel and they talk about why they wanted to do this song.

I'm born in 79 so I remember when this song first came out its a sample of Sting's "Every Breath You Take" but I loved Faith's vocals on the song. BTS did an amazing job covering this song. I love your reaction to J-hope's boots boi got some swag lol only he can rock that outfit. 😆😏😎
