Father, You never asked us to pray for that which will occur automatically. You didn’t tell us to ask for the sun to rise, gravity to operate, or air to breathe. But You did ask us to pray for harvesters, the rain of Holy Spirit, the gospel to prosper, signs and wonders to occur, evil to be stopped, and righteous leaders in government. Thank you Dutch for showing us how to pray, agree and partner with the Lord when we have specificity from the Holy Spirit and when we don’t.
We are admonished to pray always, and Paul also tells us we are to pray “with all prayer” There are not only different types of prayer, there are different degrees of prayer. As this message is rightly titled….we are in the times where “amped” up prayers are what is needed. Prayers that are both audacious and powerful. We need the prayers that will allow the earth to stand still so as to give us more light for the battle that rages! Jesus said that His house would be called a house of prayer….I pray for more and more churches and homes to become the flames of fire that is needed on this earth!
I so appreciate your beautiful prayers and ask that you pray for our little church, Union Church in San Salvador. Grumbling and ignorance of the red letter words in Matthew 18:15-17 seem to be tearing our church apart. Please pray, too, for our former pastor and his family and their ministey to children, especially those with special needs. It is called My Father's House or Casa de Mi Padre. I wish I had prayed for them more. They might still be pastoring our church if I had. I pray for our interim pastor and his family.
