    Invest in Lagos if you’re APC member or planning to join, if NOT better go and invest in sambisa and have your investment safe.

    The road doesn't have to pass through the waterfront. A flyover bridge can go over it. It will even beautify the area.
    The fact is, the Nigeria government is wicked.

      The road around landmark beach should have avoided that location with 2 options: (1) Put a very tall fly over bridge as tall as or taller than the third mainland bridge in the area. Two consider putting the road underneath the beach for half a KM so long as they can prevent it from flooding in an ocean surge. Or simply find an alternative route behind landmark. A beach front relaxation area is much more important for a nation and a people than a stupid road that will be used by only a minority of the city and nation at large since existing railroads and highways exists for decades in the city. This is what happens when APC idiots are allowed to run a state or a nation with their third class tribalistic brains.

    Lagos State is presently afflicted by real estate investment inertia. Their regulations are just too many, unknown, unpredicatble, inconsiderate, irrational, indefensible, toxic, sometimes selective, and spontaneous. It's very unfortunate and has rather become a disincentive to passionate investors. The anxieties are strangulating and suffocating, and no image laundering can redeem it now.
    Nigerians are now trying to create a semblance of Lagos in other coastal cities with high-end infrastructural facilities and stable security. Tribalism is destroying the real estate investment appetite of investors who had hitherto loved Lagos.

      Well said, the Igbos and other none Yoruba people feel targeted by vindictive Bola Tinubu led APC and the puppet government of Lagos state for simply exercising their democratic rights. In knew that there would be a very nasty consequences for the Igbos in Lagos immediately after the election as it’s unlike the divisive thief Tinubu to not punish innocent people for refusing to vote for him.

      Hi Deola,
      To effectively deal with time management with regards to speakers who come in on the show asking questions, please permit me to suggest the following:
      1). All speakers should write out their questions in a paper before coming up;
      2). These questions must not be more that 'X' lines long.
      Suggestions 1 and 2 above will force them to think deeply and effectively direct their thoughts more controlled and effectively, to the very issue in question thereby cutting off all forms of digression.
      3). As they show up on camera, they straightaway read the questions to the Main Speaker or whoever you invited in;
      4). Secondary questions from them based on the Main Speaker's answers of their first question should be brief, concise and to the point.
      I am sure you will have more time to squeeze in a greater number of people who would like to speak on the subject under the limited time you have.
      I have suggested thus because I know that when people are given time to speak, they sometimes forget that others are on the queue behind them.

Mr. Omotoso stated that over a billion dollars have been spent by people like me in Nigeria, this investment could be triple if people like me could be able to know what are needed to invest in real estate in Lagos. Adeola, thank you so much, watching you here in my Tesla Y, in Seattle Washington, USA. With respect to Mr. Omotoso, the government should compensate the owners the value of the property by outside company. My goal is to come back to Lagos Nigeria to start a farming company. I will be contacting Mr. Sanwoolu soon to guide me in my new business to employ hundreds of my people in Lagos.

    Nigeria as a whole, worst of all Lagos state ist a lawless place in that regard, its really a pity. Here in europe, once u get papers for land or to build in a place, forever those papers will be valid for ever. If there`s any need for government to use the place for public interest, they will make an offer to u, and it will be up to u to say yes, or no. and the government will have no choice than to accept and respect your decision. Thats what`s called, lawful place.

    I have family members who came to Lagos on a flight home to buy land for real estate and left without buying anything out of fear and bureaucracy after hearing stories from friends who lost money investing in Lagos. I failed to convince them. I spent 6 months paying lawyers to verify Lekki lands and 95% of the time they weren’t legit or built on land government marked for something else. Sometimes funny stuffs like agriculture. In the end I got something with a peace of mind but I am afraid to build there. 2 years and no C of O. Lagos state government is not transparent at all. I hope they can change. Lagos must have lost over 65 billion naira in investments since this current APC government came into power. This is the state of my birth. As a Lagosian it’s important to own stuffs in Lagos or at least invest there. The government is frustrating people and a lot of us are now considering other parts of Nigeria. Many diaspora feel the frustrations and a lack of trust in Lagos. Lagos isn’t the only costal parts of Nigeria. I hope the government comes out with clear cut policies abd transparency and end the land grabs and demolitions.

    Please Ma, how can we get our plots of land back from the Lagos State Government? Some of us bought land from the LSG some years ago, with the intention of settling down in Lagos. We have c of o for the plots, but we have not been able to take possession of the plots. Our representatives were chased away by some people. In fact, there are buildings on the plots already. The Lands dept. is saying that we are many that are affected, and that government is taking action! We have been on this for over 6 years. Please this is not fair. LSG should give us plots elsewhere. Thank you very much for the good work that you are doing Ma.

    The issue of Landmark is not whether the beach was owned or not. Sure it is government owned, but the issue is whether a more reasonable, empathetic decision could have been made,, given the value of investment, the fact that it was Nigeria's number 1 tourism destination, and employed hundreds of people. They wickedly destroyed the beach and went right back to land lol.

    Bringing the minister is a good journalist duty and responsibility from Adeola as the people have a right to know and to ask questions. Nigerians in the diaspora are now investing in other countries from Ghana up north in Africa due to fear of Nigerian governments. Having a representative of the politician shedding lights on these issues is important although we hear a double language. The government owns your land even if you paid for it. They can seize an entire town for redevelopment to punish a certain tribe after an election for any reason and pay compensation for years if 80% of the buyers are of that eastern descent. The law that gives the governments the right to someone’s ancestral land should be repelled. It’s 100 wrong. Let them approve and decide where they need and hands their filthy hands of the remaining land because the people who usually go into politics are criminals 99% of the time in Nigeria. They are untrustworthy and measures must be put in place to protect the people in constitutional amendments nation wide.

    Is this man mad? Land is owned by somebody perpetually. Our ancestors waged wars to defend their land for over 25,000 years sometimes. Is he saying a new baby country like Nigeria can take that away at any time perpetually for tribalistic governors to come in and steal the land for themselves because that is all they do including Tinubu. Every state governor steals land. By which right do they do that? They are ordinary civil servants who are ejected to be in office for just 4 years which is renewable by another 4 years maximum of 2 terms in office. If any tribe leaves Nigeria they take their land with them and have a right to use warfare to do so. Nigeria’s rights over such lands end when they leave. Another governor in future or a new federal government has the same rights to look into all matters regarding the acquisition or gift of land by former political leaders all over Nigeria. Then all land stolen from indigenous peoples and from the state can be retrieved from the politicians and any buildings they built on it be seized of their families can not defend how they got the money to build them. They should then be sold and half of it returned to indigenous families in beneficial investments for them. That will be justice.

      The federation itself is built on illegal constitution!!! You can't expect any product of integrity from a flawed foundation!!!
